The Denver Resurvey School was a heavy brick structure built in 1898 at a cost of $10,000 by the Board of Trustees of the Galveston Public Free Schools. “West End School located at Fiftieth Street and Avenue R on the site formerly occupied by the Denver Resurvey School was opened yesterday morning with an enrollment of sixty pupils according to an announcement by Al G. However West End School was removed and demolished in 1927. Galveston Public Free Schools sent students attending West End School to Alamo Elementary School on the West End. So students attending West End School were transferred to the Alamo School.
