The Alamo Boys Ranch was a euphemism for barracks on 11 acres of land about 30 miles southeast of San Antonio, where a small, dedicated group of people were trying to give delinquent boys a second chance. Bexar County’s shortage of juvenile rehabilitation facilities was the other reason why Alamo Boys Ranch was established. Alamo Boys Ranch had a capacity of 12. Alamo Boys Ranch was often the only thing that stands between Bexar County boys in minor trouble and commitment to a state institution. Now Alamo Boys Ranch was privately funded as the ranch was receiving most of its operating money from individuals and a handful of San Antonio civic clubs. However the ranch faced the same kind of financial pressures plaguing all of Bexar County’s charitable organizations. (Ref: https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/52814597/)

Peggy Faglie served as president of both the Board of Directors of the Alamo Boys' Ranch and the Alamo Boys' Ranch Auxiliary. Peggy Faglie was a long time member of their staff. (Ref: https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/16591555/)

Colin Naultsby was the ranch director. John H. Branbach, Mrs. Richard B. Parker, and Mrs. John J. Clayton were the serving presidents of the Alamo Boys Ranch from late 1960s through out the 1970s.
