Marshall Ford Grocery was opened in 1937 by a couple that were married for several years. Christin Garner bought Marshall Ford Grocery and the surrounding land in 1969. She leased the store to F & T Holding Company in 1975. According to the Austin American-Statesman newspaper, their distributor was the General Foods distributor which the source of their food products such as snacks and drinks. Don Tadlock had been leasing the Marshall Ford Grocery and Service Station in 1972. He took over Buddy Dodd’s position as operations manager.
