Eerie creepy history of Meckle Hill Cemetery in Austin, Texas explored.

Meckle Hill Cemetery is one of the lesser known cemeteries of Austin and Travis County. This news article will explain the creepy history of Meckle Hill Cemetery.

The name of the cemetery was named “Meckle Hill” due to being located on said Meckle Hill. Which were the name “Meckle Hill Cemetery” falls into place.

Meckle Hill Cemetery was a family cemetery which belonged to the Meckle family and was established by one of the Meckle family members. 5 members of the Meckle Family died of cholera and were burned on Meckle Hill just south of the Bee Creek Road. When Travis County workers were hauling road material out of Meckle Hill, the graves of Meckle Hill Cemetery.
