There is a sinkhole in Austin which not many people know about called the Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole. Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is one of Austin’s lesser known sinkholes. This news article will explain what Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is.

Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is critical environmental feature (CEF) located 50 feet north of Wilson Parke Avenue. The sinkhole is located within a 150 foot perimeter of an electrical easement. Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is located under electrical lines. However this drainage easement is not for sedimentation-filtration as the drainage sedimentation-filtration pond easement. There is a drainage easement which Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is located in and is a part of. This drainage easement is located in the lower right hand section of Grandview Hills. (Ref: Travis County Land Deeds, Instrument #200000233)

Travis County has owned the land where Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole is located on since the year 2011. Travis County has owned Wilson Parke Avenue Sinkhole for nearly 20 years. They also own the land around the sinkhole since the land was deeded to them from two private companies. Grandview LP was one on the private companies which deeded land to Travis County.
