Vagabond Opera - Sing For Your Lives album review
The 1870s meet the 1930s on Vagabond Opera - Sing For Your Lives. Vagabond Opera sings for their lives to their hearts content on their 2011 album. This album has a circus theme. One has to wonder if Vagabond Opera was inspired by Electric Swing Circus or Abney Park when they recorded this album because the album has a steampunk vibe in a way.
Coimbra is a song about Maria Severa, a renowned fado singer and guitarist from Portugal. In this song she was a prostitute who sung in her mother’s tavern which is how she became a known “prostituted daughter”. The song takes place in the city of Coimbra, Portugal. The song was inspired by a popular genre of Portuguese music known as Fado backed by a lute which is where the nostalgic vibe and sound come from.
The crooked streets of Coimbra are smoking a cigar. The students singing fado with a black cloak and guitar. The orange peel's unwinding through the robust underbelly of the gilded maze of Coimbra. There’s a whore with an umbrella.
And you quaffed too many ports because that bottle was a flirt. The African with half a face flicks ashes into dirt. Your compass is unappealing. It’s hanging upside-down. The sinister cafe sings another round. The cobbled streets pursue you. There’s a beckoning pitch face at the end of gilded walkways. They put alleys in the place. The bridge lurches into water to escape your leg’s embrace. The prostituted daughter Maria Severa smiles a cracked smile
The 13th Count of Vimioso longs for Lisboa (Lisbon). The sheets on the bed are clean. Maria Severa will be his countess. The 13th Count of Vimioso, who was one of Maria Severa’s lovers. He was known to be an avid fan and participant of bullfighting and would often take her to the bullfighting ring.
In the crooked streets of Coimbra, there's an envoy of the ages. He kisses alleys with his cane. His sulfur lips are faded. He read a sonnet to a countess with that his raspy breath intones. She kissed the air so long ago. She lies underneath the stones.
The crooked streets of Coimbra are in the arms of a black widow. She folds you into orange blossoms. Cinders cradling the middle like a tourist stumbling into cracked and wet skinned pavement. Maria’s brain is singing far too fast. The alleyways are mumbling like a tavern or a monastery. Sobbing out its miscreants. The misfits of these alleyways are hardening the ambiance.
Then here comes the dreamless night. Ah, fuck, here comes the dreamless night. But he’ll only dream of crooked streets. But maybe of Maria Severa. Despite her being long dead, he finds himself in a state of denial about her being deceased. Then he descends into mourning madness.
Beard and Moustache is about a woman who wants a beard and a mustache.
They imbibe her with champagne. They cover her with jewels. They caress her gentle curves. But what this woman really wants, needs, and desires is a beard and a mustache. She wants a beard and a mustache.
She wants a long black coat with the tails hangin' down. She wants a long black cane with the world at its end. Hitler and Stalin won't do. Better make it curl like Roosevelt. It can hang on like Rasputin and as furry as Henry IIIV (Henry the 8th). It better grow quickly because she just can't wait.
Wearing a skirt can only be so fun as long as there’s something underneath to shun. She pulls up her dresses and lets down her locks. What’s growing down below should grow as well on top. Businessmen agree and monks do too. A bush on the face and the deal’s going through. So it’s not just for the dress. It's also for the money. The greatest minds of ours all dip their mustaches, honey.
This woman is not some sort of freak. She doesn't have any stubble. The circus freaks still want her but she burst their carny bubble. The elephant man despises a grand plume of hair. The tatted ladies envy but she won't despair.
Aquaman never needed any razors. The snakes lie naked in the midway lights. Fire belly dancers singed all of their crops long ago. Nothing comes close to her pompadour. She is riding proud on her woolly mammoth with the 8 lumberjacks. This is the only way for her to be.
Red Balloon is about a dream Ashia had about a dream that Dr. Xander Gerrymander came to her on a vessel of gleaming red hot air balloon. Soon they became two lovers floating in the atmosphere.
The setting of this song takes place in the year of 1873 in the city of Bordeaux, France. Ashia plays the role of a female character named Nell. Eric Stern plays the role of a character named Dr. Xander Gerrymander.
In 1873, Dr. Xander Gerrymander ascended the heavens in his marvelous red balloon. There, to ponder the cosmic verities, sail above the blue, and see the stars. With him he took his sweetheart Nell, and together they danced buoyantly above the blue. Until one sad day she was lost to him. And so he's still there today searching and seeking in his marvelous red balloon.
The other night Nell had a dream that Dr. Xander Gerrymander came to her on a vessel of hot air gleaming red. An impetus upon the wing. He offered her a golden ring. And so she left her dreams within the bed. Or so it seemed.
Nell jumped aboard with her nightcap on. The moon was up and the curtains were drawn. They rose into the silver dusty glow. The whistle spoke above the cloak of factories that billowed smoke over the city of Bordeaux, France. The captain and the ballast boy played a waltz on clocks and toys. They set their sights for glory and the sea. They fired the gas and soon they passed painted ships all made of brass who sailed in orbit astrologically.
Dr. Xander Gerrymander promised Nell a lullaby and they built castles in the sky fashioned from the flowers that they grew. And then the wind's song was strange and they both knew that things would change and so he left her floating in the blue.
They lyrics explained how their love blossomed. “You promised me a lullaby, and we built castles in the sky/Fashioned from the flowers that we grew” These lyrics were things to a sudden turn in the song. “And then the wind's song was strange and we both knew that things would change/And so you left me floating in the blue”
Nell asked the winds to carry her far away until another day and until another June. She’ll be floating in the dark and whispering like a lark on this gadabout balloon. Dr. Xander Gerrymander having lost his love is drifting about aimlessly on his balloon now without her.
Nell and Dr. Xander Gerrymander are two lovers floating in the atmosphere. He will always be her faithful cavalier. Just like tales of d'Arlandes and Rozier. Dr. Xander Gerrymander is her valiant gondolier.
The other night Nell had a dream that Dr. Xander Gerrymander came to her on a zeppelin made of crystal and glass. Upon a steam calliope he sat and played a song for her which was a shanty from a vagrant midnight mass. Or so it seemed.
They puffed a pipe of Turkish moss and set course for the albatross. A sea of silver prophets on the wing. And through the captain's telescope, he gazed and blew a ring of smoke. And then they bade farewell unto the spring. Dr. Xander Gerrymander were like a dusty rose. An arrow shot from heaven's bow like a chanson pop tune ever haunting to her ear. For better or for worse, they knew this was the final verse. An ode to times soon to disappear.
These lyrics represented how the two knew the good times wouldn’t last forever. “Oh, and for better or for worse, we knew this was the final verse/An ode to times soon to disappear”
The anchor man was ill-content and sang a song with a sweet lament while Nell flipped pennies to the sky and bade farewell to her love. This stormy romance up above is a tale sure to electrify. Nell asked the winds to carry her far away until another day and until another June. She’ll be floating in the dark and whispering like a lark on this gadabout balloon.

LaVern Baker - Saved album review
LaVern Baker - Saved is one of those upbeat soulful soul albums backed with an R&B vibe. That album is also very rich and jazzy in nature. The jazzy sound and soulful sound is what attracts listens to listen to this album. R&B/soul meet jazz on this album.
Saved explained how LaVern Baker engaged in sinful activities such as smoking, drinking, cussing, cheating, lying, and dancing until she was saved. The song uses an upbeat mixture of musical genres such as r&b, jazz, gospel, and soul.
LaVern used to smoke, drink, and dance the hoochie-coo. She used to cuss, fuss, and boogie all night long. But now she is standing on this corner praying for me and you. Someone preached to her about a kingdom come due to the life she was living and the sinful activities she engaged in. And she is now in that soul savin' army (soul saving army) better known as the gospel in church. That's why she is saved.
LaVern can preach until you're deaf and dumb. She knows right from wrong. That's why she is standing on this corner saved in that soul savin' army. But now she is steppin' on the glory. Salvation is her beat. Beatin' on that big a-bass drum.
Manana explains how LaVern needs money for her family and to pay other expenses but she can't go into town because the car needs a functioning motor that actually works. Tomorrow is soon enough for her.
The faucet is dripping and the fence is falling down. LaVern needs some money but she can't go into town. Her brother isn't working and her sister doesn't care. The car needs a motor. So she can't go anywhere. Manana is soon enough for her. Tomorrow is soon enough for her.
Her mother's always working. She is working very hard indeed. But every time she looks for LaVern, she is sleeping in the yard. Her mother thinks LaVern lazy and maybe she is right. She’ll go to work manana but she’s gotta sleep tonight. Tomorrow is soon enough for her to go to work.
Once she had some money but she gave it to her friend. He said he'd pay her double. It was only for a lend. But he said a little later that the horse was so slow. That was his excuse. Why did he give the horse her money? This is something LaVern doesn't know why and cannot comprehend or figure out.
Her brother took a suitcase and he went away to school. Her father said he only learned to be a silly fool. Her father said that LaVern should learn to make a chilly pot. But then she burned the house down because the chilly was too hot.
My Time Will Come is about how LaVern will leave her man one day because of the way he mistreats her. She tells him that his time will come. The song follows a slow timid soul beat and pace to a delicate piano.
LaVern’s man is treating her heart like it was dirt. As though it was made to be hurt. She tells him that his time will come where she will leave him one day because of the way he mistreats her. One day his time will come.
Him and her best pal are running around spreading lies all over town. He is having his fling and doing everything that they had planned to do. One of these days it will all come back to him when all his friends have left him flat. That's when he’ll come crawling back to LaVern. But it won't help him enough. That's when her time will come.
Don Juan explains how LaVern will still love her man Don Juan even if his money is gone. LaVern explains to Don Juan that she will be there by his side even when his money is gone through true dedication, commitment, and love. Now that’s true dedication and commitment right there (here).
LaVern tells Don Juan, “Don Juan, your money's gone. And when your money's gone, Don, your baby's gone. Don Juan, your baby's gone. Stiff upper lip now, Don, you'll have to carry on.”
The yacht they sailed on is the yacht they wailed on. She loved that yacht. She even told him, “I got to tell you, Don, I loved that yacht. You used to look so cute in your white sailor suit up on that big white yacht that you no longer got.” Don used to look so cute in his white sailor suit up on that big white yacht that he no longer has got.
The house they grooved in was the house they moved in. The way they waltzed around the marble floor was something else. He sure looked deluxe in his white tie and tuxedo up in that big old house that is no longer his. LaVern misses the way he wine and dined her. She sure is gonna miss the Filet Mignon. You know She is going to miss that special way he kisses.

Snoop Dogg - Woof single review
Snoop Dogg’s Woof single proved to be a smash hit! It was due to that woofing and heavy-hitting bass produced by Craig B and KLC that this single was a success in 1998. The bass is pounding heavily from the sub-woofers. That is why you hear bass rumbling inside of the synths. KLC stuck true to the Louisiana roots by using chords, cowbells, and woofing. The lyrics are action packed. Thanks to Pen & Pixel Graphics, the title stood out with that bling bling and jewelry in Snoop Dogg's name on the top. That's what helped make it go platinum.
The song Woof proved to be a smash hit. It was de to that woofing and heavy-hitting bass produced by Craig B and KLC that Woof became a smash hit. KLC stuck true to the Louisiana roots by using chords, cowbells, and woofing.
The single also contained an exclusive bonus track which was a It's All On A Ho. Some No Limit fans might remember this song as the bonus track. This was the exclusive bonus track which was advertised as "also contains an exclusive bonus track" on the front cover.
A lot of these songs were released as b-sides on singles in the 1990s. That happened frequently back then. No Limit was famous for putting exclusive bonus tracks that could only be found on only on certain versions of a single. That is why the song was not used on the multi-platinum album "Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told".

Master P – What's The Deal EP review
Master P – What's The Deal is a unique Bay Area rap EP from the wonderful state of California. Hearing Master P on a New Jack Swing tip is quite different and a unique experience for many. Master P kept it funky as always and as usual. Hearing New Jack Swing over gangsta rap sounded like conscious rap/hip hop. DJ Grand Master Scratch helped bring the funkiness of the EP since he produced the funkiness. He’s nice with the scratches always has been. Now DJ Grand Master Scratch didn’t produce the beats as many people would believe. The sound of this EP is similar to Eric B & Rakim. Hardcore fans of No Limit will appreciate this release.
There were 2 versions of this EP. There is one version that had 2 songs which were You Only Live Once and What's The Deal (Remix). There is another version which has 4 songs which were He's Rollin, No Limit, Why You Do What You Do To Me, and What's The Deal. You Only Live Once would appear on his 1991 album Get Away Clean.
Master P – What's The Deal is one of the rarest No Limit Records releases to date and is one of the rarest No Limit Records releases from the 1990s along with the Master P – Get Away Clean EP that was issued on vinyl in 1990 as well the 1990 EP TRU – Mind Of A Psychopath. That is because not that many copies were of this EP were issued out on cassette and was released independently in 1990. This cassette tape is so rare that you can’t even find this cassette online anymore to order.
Hearing New Jack Swing over gangsta rap on What's The Deal sounded like conscious rap/hip hop. What's The Deal was recorded and released during the time when the Stop The Violence Movement was prevalent in hip hop/rap as hip hop/rap was becoming increasingly violent at the time. (And still is.)
Master P took the style of New Jack Swing and turned New Jack Swing into No Limit Jack Swing. That is how he created his own version of New Jack Swing in the 1990s. He's Rollin is an example of some early Master P. He's Rollin is not the same as I'm Rollin.
Master P explains to people that they only live once on his classic song You Only Live Once. Some people think they're always right. Others are quiet and uptight. Others they seem so very nice but inside they might feel sad and wrong. Some people have 29 different attributes with only 7 attributes they like. There are countless odd religions which exist on Earth. It doesn't matter which religion you choose. You only live once. One stubborn way is to turn your back and reject the truth.

Global Citizen - Master Stroke album review
Global Citizen - Master Stroke is one of those goofy dark electronic albums which hardly anyone knows about. This album flew way under the radar. The album has sexually explicit songs such as Chikages’ Happy Hole and Bukkake Smile. So this is not a family oriented music album. The album discusses modern topics relevant for today such as virtual sex and digital love.
Chikages’ Happy Hole explains how the mock love affair between Global Citizen and the fictional character Chikage Kaitou from the anime Detective Conan. This songs explains virtual love and virtual sex in a nutshell. The song is relevant for today’s modern times. Call it virtual sex if that's what suits you.
Global Citizen has a fallen in love with the fictional character Chikage Kaitou from the anime Detective Conan. They’ve been having a mock love affair. Although he’s never quite seen what she looks like. But for him she's always “been there”. They meet everyday in Shibuya which is a special ward in Tokyo, Japan at her own place called the “happy hole” which in reality is a cubicle made out of plywood.
They act out the very same role. Chikage Kaitou has the headshot of an actress with beautiful long shiny brown hair. She is a cartoon body of mens' restroom graffiti in a mens restroom with all of her “best bits” laid bare. She has the greatest affection for Global Citizen. Giving Global Citizen pleasure is what she lives for. He has the greatest affection for her. He’d die for the pleasure she gives.
He drops his pants and puts his “piece” aka penis through the plywood. He holds on for dear life to the handrail. His head rolls back facing the sky. Her voice scatters assaults on his senses of sight, sound and touch. She's synthesizing inside of his head while she's taking good care of his crotch. It is a marriage sent from the future with new meaning to “love on the rocks”. Call it virtual sex if that's what suits you. But Chikage’s happy hole is something he has the hots for.
Tea Time is about Global Citizen having tea and sex at the same time in a bloody gore manner seen in hentai, doujinshi, and manga. It's tea time. It's time for tea. There's nothing like a fresh brew to kick start the day.
Global Citizen cums whenever he feels like it. The woman he is fucking cums whenever she feels like it.
Head over heels and coming undone. He is seeing red and she is wrapped in latexShe look like some kind of angel but her bite draws blood. Licking his wounds while she latches his gun. Rip down to the flesh and it's fully loaded. It's tea time. It's time for tea. There's nothing like a fresh brew to kick start the day.
Her eyes cut Global Citizen in half. Her nails tear him to shreds. His bed looks like a war zone and his head is primed to explode. There's nothing like a fresh brew to kick start the day.
Global Citizen wakes up to find her purring again. He almost fills her with lead. He withdrew and it snows instead. Automatic fire lands warm on her skin. Glitter and ash help to blend it all in.

Global Citizen - Nil by Mouth album review
Global Citizen - Nil by Mouth is one of those dark electronic albums which hardly anyone knows about. This album flew way under the radar. The album has sexually explicit songs. The album discusses modern topics relevant for today such as virtual sex and digital love. Songs such as New and Don't Make It Slow showcase Global Citizen’s love and affection for Japanese culture.
New explained the story of Global Citizen dating a top class geisha in Japan.
Global Citizen found a geisha’s card in a red box today advertising that she was a new sweet and spicy oriental able to visit. This top class geisha gives first class service open until late for her hot date. From 30 minutes to a weekend away. He told her to give he a call because he could simply not wait.
She was new. This geisha was pearl of the orient who was open for business. He excels in her dreams and wishes. Body to body. Complete with kisses. One stop shop if you're bored with your missus.
Hilton discussed what happened with Global Citizen at a Hilton Hotel.
It was 2am when Global Citizen arrived at a Hilton Hotel some woman one cold morning that September. They went to Room 746 on floor 8. They paid the going rate for a frequent flyer. He doesn't remember much though unfortunately. He didn't know that he was such a good liar.
There were no biscuits for their tea and no cream for their coffee. The TV was dead but they had a nice hard bed. And so he painted her white inside that night in the Hilton. He had sex with by painting her white inside.
Don't Make It Slow is about a Japanese woman Global Citizen has been having a problem with. Global Citizen is here to fix the problem. And to help her to relax and unwind.
The Japanese woman Global Citizen is sleeping with had a problem lately and she is losing her mind. Global Citizen is here to fix the problem. And to help her to relax and unwind
Five pints of blood from Japan. (Nihon to be precise.) All the traits expected out of a Japanese beauty that is a Japanese woman are there. This Japanese woman has deep dark eyes, a tiny frame and gorgeous long black shiny hair. These are characteristics, traits, and personification of an idealized Japanese woman.
And so it's down to business. It's time to pay the price. A quick coffee for two and then he’ll have her shaken and stirred with no ice. He’ll strip her clothes off in no time. Oh, don't make it slow. How is she gonna get through this night in one piece? I don't know. She is on another planet. Nothing else seems so right. September snow falls tonight.
He proceeds to jam his fingers down her throat. Global Citizen has got something for her that squeezes nicely in her glory hole. They’re breaking all known land speed records. She is biting on the pillow. Her nails rip through his skin.

The Dayton Family - Dope House album review
Welcome to the Dope House marked the return of The Dayton Family in 2002. They came back harder than ever on this album with new and improved production that is up to par with modern times. The Dayton Family came back with a “no holds barred attitude” in an aggressive form on several of their tracks. A pinnacle of neo-gangsta rap.
Bootleg and Shoestring go on a robbery spree using big MAC-11’s to rob and kill people on the song Big Mac 11. The Dayton Family comes with a “no holds barred attitude” in an aggressive form on this track and several other tracks of theirs. Any fan of hardcore gangsta rap willing to accept the truth and daily reality will enjoy this track!
Shoestring is going to take out all these hoes with his Big Mac 11. He is also going to rob banks with his Big Mac 11. Backstabba is on a murder spree.
Bootleg wants a fully loaded Big Mac 11 and that’s not on the menu. This Big Mac 11 comes with bullets. This Big Mac is a fully loaded Mac-11 bullet in you. So I advise you to hit the floor or get a round of bullets in you. His road dog Baby-O closed the right door.
There was a hero in the crowd and he saw her body twitch. He sparked the trigger. Now she's a bloody and a happy bitch. That bitch crawling on the floor was shot by Bootleg using his Big Mac 11. Now the manager is trying to negotiate. The manager is choking on the bullets from Bootleg’s Big Mac 11. Big Mac 11 is taking over. Big Mac 11 is taking over this here Micky D’s (McDonald’s). The city is under siege from his Big Mac 11.
Some friendly customer didn't understand what he was saying. He had to pop that customer to show them he ain't playing. He heard a sound. Some fool was running for the fucking door.So he opened fire. Bet that bitch'll never run no more. SWAT team was barking and they said they had the place surrounded. Explosives were hidden by him. He is glad them stupid bitches found it.
Bootleg slipped out the back. KFC is the next fast food restaurant Bootleg hits up with his Big Mac 11 because Colonel Sanders has beef with him. However this KFC location has bullet-proof glass. Bootleg needs employment and refuses to work for McDonald’s. His hands cold and sweaty from all the premeditation. He hit the trigger to his Big Mac 11 and killed someone. People are rushing to escape. 5 people were murdered by Bootleg and his Big Mac 11. He is full of chicken.
Bootleg walked through the door and he commenced to let them bitches have it busting static and reaping havoc with this automatic weapon that he has. People were screaming and hollering hoes cried when they saw him pull it.
Big Mac 11 is back. So let that motherfucker kick for a bit. His Big Mac 11 has got him fiending to rob more fast food restaurant establishments. So fuck Burger King, Taco Bell, and KFC. Get out of his way before you meet his Big Mac 11.
Shoestring says Big Mac 11 motherfuckers are kicking down the door. So best hit the floor. That laser beam is pointed at you. He thought to himself about how he can get money and power while he was in the shower at his residence. So he decides to rob people for money and power with a Big Mac 11. Since he is a killer, a brother must kill at will.
Then he went to his uncle’s house. He stole his money and stole money from his wife. He emptied out her purse and took money out of her pocketbook. His uncle called the police. Away he goes in his G-Ride. Creeping with the Big Mac 11 on his side.
He takes some hoes out with his Big Mac 11. Some bitches were in his driveway. So he grabbed his Big Mac 11 and let that motherfucker spray. The clip is reloaded since ammunition was empty. He shot that bitch on her fucking hip. Shoestring is packing heat.
Shoestring is on a ganking spree where he is committing theft. Lights are following him now. So he feels paranoid. The next place he turns to is somebody’s yard. The Big Mac 11 is his bodyguard. He blasted another motherfucker next. That’s the life he lives and chose to live.
Now it’s time for Shoestring to devise another plot for another ganking spree. The Big Mac 11 is the only thing he has got. He’s got another murder story just for you. The next place he robs is a bank. He robbed a woman for her cash. All types of shit are seen after he takes her purse such as credit cards and cash.
The song Big Mac 11 came from The Dayton Family demo cassette which was released locally around Flint only in 1992. Big Mac 11 was a song Ira Dorsey (Bootleg) wrote and performed with Shoestring. This is not the original Big Mac 11 which used the samples of The D.O.C. - The Formula and Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues. Sample clearance issues was one of the reasons why that version of Big Mac 11 was never publicly released.
Now that version of Big Mac 11 was doper and way harder than the version on their 2002 album Welcome To The Dope House. Many people say that original is way harder than the 2002 version.
Simple Wish explains how a simple wish can get you killed.
A simple wish can get you killed and get you going like this. Just take the pistol in his mouth and you won't ever miss! A simple wish is all Shoestring needs and that's gonna do the job. And get you set up and wet up like a fucking mob. A simple wish from Shoestring’s lips left his bones broken. A simple wish fuck with this and you gonna pay the price when niggas busting at your ass like The Dayton Family is the fucking vice. Shoestring wished to drill him. He wished had the stress to kill him.
You're just a wish away from dying. So stop lying! And all them haters trying to live, y'all can stop trying! Just wish you gay copier gangsters you believe the truth.
Like Ali said, he fights that ass in the booth. A simple wish and a Nickel is on your makers throat. A simple wish and whole fucking block was shot. A simple wish and you gonna have to do some thanking. I wish that you ain't got shot when you was at the bar. So when you see that nigga scream, don't you get pissed? Sometimes I wish you bitches would quit playing on my phone.

The Dayton Family - What’s On My Mind album review
The Dayton Family - What’s On My Mind was the best Flint Rap album of 1994. Their album tackled subjects such as deindustrialization, poverty, crime, drugs, and more. Highlights include Flint Town, Dope Dayton Ave., Nutty Niggaz, and What’s On My Mind.
There were several diss songs dissed aimed at Flint rap groups. Particularly Took-N-Bone and DOA (Dead On Arrival). The Dayton Family dissed Took-N-Bone and DOA (Dead On Arrival) on songs such as Smoke For Free, Watch Yo Ass, Nutty Niggaz, Potato Chip, and Flint Niggaz Don’t Play. Took-N-Bone got dissed on songs such as Smoke For Free and Watch Yo Ass.
The album was released on Po' Broke Records and Relativity Records in 1994. The Dayton Family was the most hardest rap group from Flint, Michigan.
Flint Town explained the deindustrialization, drugs, and crime that plagues Flint, Michigan. The Dayton Family feels there isn’t any way out of a bleak environment because politicians keep minorities oppressed.
Flint Town is the track that made The Dayton Family a legendary rap ground in the streets of Flint, the state of Michigan, and throughout the Midwest US. This is the absolute highlight track for this album. The Dayton Family comes with a “no holds barred attitude” in aggressive form on this track and several other tracks of theirs. The Dayton Family discusses to the listeners what’s on their mind while not holding back of course. Flint Town without a doubt is a classic track that still gets play to this very day by many people. Any fan of hardcore gangsta rap willing to accept the truth and daily reality will enjoy this track!
The Dayton Family refutes the notion that race does not matter in American society. Flint is not a prosperous scenic town inhabited by celebrities. Michael Jackson says “Black or white, it shouldn’t matter.”. This is a reference to Michael Jackson - Black Or White where Michael Jackson says race shouldn’t matter. Clearly Michael Jackson was living in an idealistic, magical place like Hollywood, California. Flint is a place where things are very rough and race matters. The Dayton Family feels there isn’t any way out of a bleak environment.
The city of Flint was once racially segregated by district zoning lines. These district zoning lines were politically structured and altered over the years. These district zoning lines were set up by politicians to keep minorities oppressed.
The movie industry pays no attention to the plight of Flint. Although, however, Michael Moore’s 1989 documentary Roger and Me shed light on the deindustrialization situation that hurt Flint severely.
Bootleg tried to go to college but didn’t feel he could fit in anyway due to his social, economic, and racial background. This indicates life in Flint is difficult and there is limited opportunity to receive higher education. There are several colleges in the area such as the University of Michigan – Flint, and Kettering University Bootleg makes commentary on discrimination in the college admissions process. University of Michigan’s Affirmative Action policies are often racist. This has been a big issue and still is.
Flint keeps people trapped in an impoverished environment. It is so hard to escape the drugs and violence that plague Flint. He refuses to work hard at a fast food franchise and still be poor. He can’t live in a nice condo as he would still be in the hood.
Dope Dayton Ave. was the Dayton Street anthem for King Hood about selling drugs back in the 1990s. The beats are polished and mastered in terms of production. But at the same time the beats sound raw. This is where The Dayton Family gets real raw. They are constantly aggressive on the track.
Dope Dayton Ave. is named after the infamous Dayton Avenue (Dayton Street), is known as one of the most crime-ridden streets in Flint, Michigan. Bootleg, Shoestring, and Backstabba rap about coming up from their own upbringings living in the hardest conditions of the United States of America. The trio’s name is derived from Dayton Avenue in Flint.
Backstabba gets hardcore and aggressive. The track is known for its patterns of aggressiveness. Read his verses used in the lyrics of Dope Dayton Ave.: “Nobody fucks me/Especially on Dayton Avenue/Because all I do is smoke weed, sell crack, and screw”
What’s On My Mind is another track that made The Dayton Family a legendary rap ground in the streets of Flint, the state of Michigan, and throughout the Midwest US. The Dayton Family discusses to the listeners what’s on their mind while not holding back of course. The Dayton Family comes with a “no holds barred attitude” in aggressive form on this track and several other tracks of theirs. Any fan of hardcore gangsta rap will enjoy this track!
The Dayton Family does not hold back for anything! For example, read these verses to the lyrics of What’s On My Mind.:
What's on my mind is a rape in progress
I got my dick in between some bitch’s breasts
What's on my mind is a knife at a hoe’s throat
I took her gold, her pussy, and her mink coat
The Dayton Family lets us know that niggaz from Flint, Michigan don’t play around with the track Flint Niggaz Don't Play. The Dayton Family comes with a “no holds barred attitude” in an aggressive form on this track and several other tracks of theirs. They let us know Flint niggas don't play! Any fan of hardcore gangsta rap willing to accept the truth and daily reality will enjoy this track!
Shoestring dissed DOA (Dead on Arrival) and Took N Bone in the track with these lyrics. “Cause you's a muthafuckin how you know I'm talkin to/I ain't sayin no names, bitch, now what the fuck you wanna do?” There was a lot of hate going on behind closed doors with DOA.
Shoestring packin glock for the 94. And a triple beamer. He’ll squeeze the trigger. Bitch, you gonna die today. He wanted to kill her. You can find a killer like him lurkin with a tec-9. Don't you bitches give Shoestring shit because hoes know he is out to kill for his when he has to necessarily. If you squeal you get killed or caught up in the rapture. Infrared is on your head. So bitch he gots to blast ya.
So if you got some beef, you betta let your nuts hang. Cause bitches are being wasted and tasted like cocaine. Niggas are talkin shit, but they don't really want none. If you toot and oot, bitches come and get you some. Shoestring don't discriminate. So what the fuck you want to do?
Niggas and bitches are catching bullets. Cops are catching slugs too. Shoestrings on the fuckin loose and creepin in the fuckin deuce with the deep dish gold Daytons and 16 fully juiced switches. Okies on the fuckin dash. Smokin on that open hash.
Niggas are gettin jealous. But Shoestring is packin a 44 and it’s tucked up under the seat. The 44 is for them hoes and niggaz who want to engage in beef or get combative. This goes for you if you talk some shit. Flint niggas don't play!
Shoestring is gonna work by doing more dirt than a little bit. Play your punk ass like clock and bitch this is your last tick. Niggas get they ass kicked for pulling in more hoes stuff. Muthafuckas steppin up straight gettin smoked like cro blunts. Living in Flint city is such a pity but Shoestring is holdin his for The Dayton Family. GD 74.
Any static got a uzi, automatic and a 9 milli-mil. So grab your fuckin grill when he pulls it.Shoestring will empty the clip into your face and make you take these fuckin bullets. Because you niggas kill him claiming that you are real g’s knowing damn well that you hoes never thrill him. So fall back from all that and then some. Fools get dropped and popped from fuckin around with shotguns. He is the muthafuckin grave digga hittin niggas where it hurts. Punks try to jump fuck around and get they shit split.
Shoestring is a villain killin niggas for the fun of it. He is a monster from the streets. Any beef and he’ll make you bite the bullet. Shoestring is a psychopath from Dayton Ave. Niggas don't want none of it. Actin like a bitch even thought they are packing one but scared to pull it.
Ain't no limitations on the niggas that he is runnin through He never ever loved a hoe. Niggas are tryin to run the race but he is droppin them every mile he goes. Toss em up, toss em up. Who in the fuck gets fucked next? Busting caps in bitches mouths, raping hoes, and takin sex is what Shoestring does. Felt like Tina Turner. What the fuck love got to do wit it?

Diablo Swing Orchestra - The Butcher’s Ballroom album review
The Welsh album Diablo Swing Orchestra - The Butcher’s Ballroom is one of the darkest dark jazz albums of 2006 that have a mixture of avant grade metal, symphonic metal, and swing jazz. In other words, metal meets jazz on this album. Truthfully speaking this is a unique dark jazz album that not everyone will understand.

Master P - I Miss My Homies single review
Master P’s I Miss My Homies single uses a balance of mourning and heavy lyricism. The single is a mixture of R&B and gangsta rap. The single also contained an exclusive bonus track which was Here We Go which was shown and advertised on the back cover.
I Miss My Homies was tribute to all his deceased friends, family members, and rappers. Master P sent out a message stop the violence with this song of his. I Miss My Homies was his humanitarian effort to stop black on black crime. This song was dedicated to Master P’s late brother Kevin Miller. The song was a tribute to 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. also.
I really miss my homies. Even though you're gone away, I know you're in a better place. And I hope to see you soon someday. I'm so alone. How could it be? Take a minute to smile for the dead.
Some Gs never change. Why do soldiers ride for your name? A lotta soldiers done died and a lotta mothers done cried. So just leave it vain. The ghetto persons that lost their loved ones to these ghetto scandals. I miss my homies even though they’ve gone away.
Here We Go was an exclusive bonus track that could only be found on this single. Here We Go was one of those songs were released as b-sides on singles in the 1990s. That happened frequently back then. No Limit was famous for putting exclusive bonus tracks that could only be found on only on certain versions of a single. Some No Limit fans might remember this song as the bonus track.
Master P has got heroin and cocaine Some call him the dope man. He went from cheddar to cheese. From powder to cooked rocks. From the ghetto to the lakes. Slangin' thangs in the hood to move his records to 50 states. He’s got more work than the mayor do. He’s got more hoe's than Macys sell muthafuckin Girbauds.
Relentlessly Master P keep the muthafuckin party jumpin’. For putting the south on the map like Eazy-E did Compton. No Limit Soldiers are mercenary killas that keep one up in the chamber. They’ve got it made like Special Ed. They got more vapors than Biz Markie ever had because they are after dead presidents like Eric B & Rakim. They plan to hypnotize the rap industry like Biggie did. No Limit is going federal like E-40. They will shock the world like Silkk. No Limit is and was putting fools on hold like En Vogue. They used to slang white ice cream. Now it’s platinum and gold.
Master P payed tribute and homage to rappers from the 1980s and 1990s with these lyrics. Notice how he refers to other rappers by using their most popular songs such as Vapors by Biz Markie.
Keep the muthafuckin party jumpin (uhh, bout it, bout it)
For puttin the south on the map like Eazy-E did Compton
Hoo-ride with these gangbangers (gangbangers)
No Limit Soldiers, mercenary killas keep one up in the chamber
Got it Made like Special Ed
Got more Vapors than Biz Markie ever had
After Dead Presidents like Eric B
Hypnotize the rap industry like Biggie
Going Federal like E-40
Shock the world like Silkk, put my pockets on tilt
Puttin fools On Hold like En Vogue
Used to slang white ice cream, now its platinum and golds
Mystikal says without no business it’s over for you before you get out the door. If you don't already know. Be about yo paper. Fuck how good you rap. It ain't shit without yo business.
Mystikal explains how artists and musicians are cheated out of their royalties in the music business inside of these lyrics. He tells artists to be about their royalties and contracts.
Without no business
It’s over for you before you get out the door
What the fuck they gon tell you for if you don't already know
Huh nigga thats all on you to be on top of yearn
But by the time they finish fuckin you, bitch you gon learn
Ain't no fuckin favors, ain't no fuckin friends
That shit don't mix, this business
Be bout yo paper, yo royalties or them bitches will take ya
Make sure yo contract is escilatin' otherwise them bitches will rape ya
Makin big promises on how it's gonna be all good just and be patient
Yo album done came and gone and you stupid ass still waitin
Stackin paper off my work
Them no good son of a bitches got me livin for concerts
I done headlined every hole in the wall in and out the city
Humble cause I'm gonna believe it was meant for me
I'ma get it, makin moves but still somethin missin
Fuck how good you rap it ain't shit without yo business
