Mixerr Album Reviews #738

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I am going to review the album Dealin' With The Feelin' by Lil Alfred. This album was released on Jin Records in 1996.

Lil Alfred is dealin' with the feelin' by incorporating Blues music into soul music on his first nationwide album distributed nationally by Jin Records outta Louisiana State. He mixes the sounds of Blues, Country, zydeco, swamp boogie, and soul music in his debut album. Lil Alfred's vocal range is truly unique in a mannerism that no one else can replicate.

The opening trumpet blasts us away soulfully speaking at the beginning of the title track! Lil Alfred explains to us in song and tune how exactly he is "Dealin' With The Feelin'".

On the track The One Thing, Lil Alfred incorporated the Blues sound mixed with that honkytonk Country sound with his soulful swamp boogie voice. The One Thing is a track that many Lil Alfred fans will favor.

She's Looking Good is a Wilson Pickett cover song. Lil Alfred covers Wilson Pickett very good in a vocal manner. He is good at it to boot. Not many can cover Wilson Pickett vocally as Lil Alfred can. Lil Alfred's vocal coverage is truly unique in a manner no one can replicate.

Soulfully speaking, Lil Alfred takes us on a musical journey on how he is flying high on the wings of music on the ballad Flying High On The Wings Of Music. The sound of music will get you stoned. His music will take you everywhere. Lil Alfred's vocals shine here.

Lil Alfred had came a long way since his days with Cookie and the Cupcakes. The high notes in his baritone voice prove otherwise. He had that swamp boogie soul in him. Lil Alfred's vocal coverage is truly unique in a manner no one can replicate.

I rate this album, Dealin' With The Feelin', 5/5*****!!
