Mateo & Matos - Night Moods is a deep downtempo electronic EP that’s quite out of this world. The duo managed to bring the funk on this electronic EP with songs such as Beyond The Realm, Taste of Funk, and Free Your Mind. Night Moods is one of many releases from the duo that got overlooked in the field of electronic music.
The thick beats heard on Free Your Mind fit in perfectly with the downtempo sound of this EP. Some of these beats are similar to the beats heard on Beyond The Realm. Of course the mood for this song is not dark. It’s one of those songs that will make you want to get up and dance. The beats are funky. Sounds of deep house from New York are astounding and amazing.
Voyage To The Deep uses some funky drum beats over electronic music. This song leans more towards lounge music with a deep house sound. Not surprising since this EP is a deep house EP also.
Taste of Funk incorporates the sound of funk and deep downtempo electronic music in one instrumental. The duo successfully produced a funky electronic song. You can never go wrong with these two. This song is one of the Funkiest songs on the EP.
