Beat Division – Beat Division is a fairly unique hip house EP that got criminally overlooked during the rise of house music in the 1990s. The EP is a fusion of hip hop and electronic music. Beat Division stepped up their game by not going the usual route by just sticking solely to electronic house music but chose to interpolate hip house music. The songs are catchy and very addictive.
The Funk uses filtered funk layered under electronic hip house music. Funk meets electronic house music on The Funk of course. You have groovy synths over an electronic soundscape back by several beats.
Give A Little will certainly have you dancing. The song is very catchy and has an addictive beat. Dance beats and tribal beats definitely make house songs catchy, infectious, and addictive. A bit of tribal house seems to have been added to the mix as you can hear bongos and djembes playin faintly in the background if you listen carefully. The song is perfect to play at night at a club. Catchy and addictive are two words that can be used to describe this song.
Heat For The Girls is song strictly dedicated to the girls on the dance floor.
Hip Hop Ska Bop uses a touch and fusion of reggae ska and hip hop blended in with electronic house music backed by a powerful rhythmic reggae organ is used all over the track. The song follows a beat of course.
I rate this EP 5/5*****!!
