History behind Creedmoor Cotton Gin explained.

Creedmoor Cotton Gin was established in 1878 as Creedmoor Cotton Gin by W. R. Davis on 110 acres of land owned by L. B. Rector. This gin was located west of FM 1625. Creedmoor Cotton Gin was a cotton gin that served the Creedmoor community. A. D. Dye was its investor responsible for capital stocks. The business started off as a small local operation and then expanded to serve Travis County.

Creedmoor Cotton Gin was destroyed by fire on December 9, 1897. 100 tons of cotton seed and 17 bales of cotton perished in the fire. E. I. Davis and T. H. Davis reported this news to the Austin Weekly Statesman. (Ref: Austin Weekly Statesman, Page 4, Thursday, December 9, 1897)

T. H. Davis sold Creedmoor Cotton Gin to Edgar Graef and Martin Graef sometime during the 20th century. Exactly when is unknown.

Edgar Graef and Martin Graef were the operaters of Creedmoor Cotton Gin in 1955. They were expecting a fair season in spite of the drought. Both of them were cotton growers on their own. Leslie Keeble was the manager. (Ref: https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/386369843/)

Creedmoor Cotton Gin closed down and merged their operations with Creedmoor Gin Co in 1968. All structures were demolished and relocated. There are no remnants left of Creedmoor Cotton Gin today.

Creedmoor Cotton Gin was located at the intersection of FM 1625 & FM 1327, Creedmoor, Texas, US 78610.
