Exploring the Briseno House in Manor, Texas.

The Briseno House is one of the many forgotten historic houses of Manor, Texas. This news article will explain some of the history behind the Briseno House.

The Briseno House was built as a beginning of the century prairie style house with an aluminum frame roof. The Briseno House was built on a .231 acre lot in 1901 with modifications and additions constructed on in 1903. Most of the modifications were made in 1903. The Briseno House was owned by Felipe A. Briseno and Consuela Briseno for many years.

A series of several more modifications, renovations, and additions were made throughout the 1970s whenever Felipe A. Briseno hired contractors to renovate their house. Most of these modifications were made between 1971-1976.

Felipe A. Briseno sold the house and property to Consuela Briseno on a deed of trust in 1975 for the principal sum of $3,000 dollars. She would assume full ownership of the property and gain all rights that year. However there was added interest since there were a couple of mechanic liens that went unpaid. Felipe A. Briseno owed several thousands dollars to contractors whom he hired to renovate their house. (Ref: Travis County Deeds, Volume 5506, Pages 1650-1654)

The Briseno House is now being renovated by AZ General Contractors LLC and is up for sale. (Ref: Travis County Deeds, Instrument #2019190450)
