Marathon Oil Refinery has begun buying out more land to expand their oil refineries in the Detroit area. They are offering to pay landowners in the Oakwood Heights neighborhood and subdivision $20,000 to $50,000 dollars in buyout money. Just this week in 2021 they’ve offered several homeowners in the Oakwood Heights neighborhood $20,000 dollars on average.
