Demolition of Daniel D. Riney Hall in River Rouge, Michigan is beginning today on 7/29/2021. Construction workers have through the stain glass window to make clearance for the bulldozers. Some bulldozers have started filling up large metal dumpsters with the inside debris
Daniel D. Riney Hall was once the former River Rouge Arena which was a former ice arena where hockey games were played. Both Daniel D. Riney Hall and River Rouge Arena are/were owned by the city of River Rouge. The demolition of Riney Hall and the former ice arena costed about $500,000. It is unknown what the plan is for the future.
