The teacherage house was located to what was once Frydek School also as Frydek Public School for more than 4 decades. This news article will explain some of the history.
Austin County purchased 2.07 acres of land in 1920 from a farmer. Plans for the teacherage house for Frydek School were laid out in 1921. The teacherage house for Frydek School was built in 1923 as a single story structure with resemblance bearing similarities to a single family home. This single story building served as the home for the teacher of Frydek School.
Overtime expansions and modifications were made. The teacherage house along with the school property was purchased in 1967 by Mr. and Mrs. James Pomikol. They used the old teacherage building for their home. Today teacherage house still stands and remains in perfect condition. The two-room building no longer stands. 1973 was the year the teacherage house was remodeled and expanded. Modifications were made to the teacherage in the years of 1974, 2007, and 2008.
