DJ Sneak – Smokémon was a parody of the popular children’s anime series and franchise Pokémon released on cassette in 2000. Smokémon is a nice funky house mix from one of Chicago’s best disco house DJ. The groove keeps going all the way through. DJ Sneak uses his signature Sneak-y style by sneaking a couple of borrowed vocal samples over a set of tribal drums, Latin music, and the style of jacking. The style and sound of this album are reminiscent to Derrick Carter and Terry Mullan.
I rate this EP 4/5****!
