Mixerr Album Reviews #704

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Tunnel Vision by Born Soul. Tunnel Vision was released by Aristitrax Records and Born Soul Productions in 2002 on CD. K-Smoove goes solo on this one with production. (With the exception of help from Harold Green.) Tunnel Vision is a Soul and Rap album.

Tunnel Vision is a visionary track by Born Soul. Born Soul himself is a visionary when it comes to creating music. He is ahead of his time in a lot of ways. Born Soul mixes soul and rap elements on Tunnel Vision.

I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is reprise from the Brotha From The South track off of Born Soul’s debut album From The Beginning To The End in 1998. I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is basically Brotha From The South revisited. I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is southern rap, spoken words, a cappella, lyricism, and rap all in one. Brotha From The South was too short of a song for me and it should have been longer.

Groupie Alert is to all the fans of Born Soul and any other musicians that have the symptoms of being a groupie. The fans that are on the groupie tip. Henceforth the title.

Internet Luva is an ode to Zapp - Computer Luv. Internet Luva is dedicated to the women online that are looking for a date and just went to flirt with men online through the internet. The track Internet Luva really pays tribute to Zapp - Computer Luv.

Gone Bad is not that good of a track. The production quality is not that tolerable and the lyrics are just lackluster in songwriting.

I rate this album, Tunnel Vision, 4/5****.
