Mixerr Album Reviews #129

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Jhiame's self-titled album. This album has that neo-soul, New Jack Swing with R&B/Soul edge to it. This came out on vinyl in 1992 on Jhiame Productions out of Houston, Texas. It's very similar to the early 90's production style of Teddy Riley, which to me is heavily influenced by Guy.

Do Me and I Kut 4 U sounds like sex songs. Nasty Disposition is another sex song! C'mon Babe is about Jhaime getting a woman to love him. Why U Wanna Change Me Now is about now that they're a couple, the woman wants Jhiame to change his ways. Jhiame ain't up on it. Rhythm of Luv is a smooth R&B song. Doesn't This Luv (Feel Good 2 U) is yet another sex song. Inner City Blues is cover version of the same track by Marvin Gaye.
The album is too short. It only has 8 songs, which is not enough for me.

I rate this self-titled album, 4/5****!
