This is Michael Mixerr. Today I am going to review the self-titled album by Big June. This album was released on Big N It Records which is Big June's own label in 2003. (He left Repo Records by then already.) This was also known as the Bread N Meat album. Featured artists were Gangsta Boi, Ern Bo, D Major, Shannon Bo, Gino, Jaz, and others.
At the begging of Bread N Meat, Big June lets us know he isn't trying to do the J-O-B thang right now. The beat is catchy. Drop That Top is a dedication to low riders and strippers.
I love the drums and bass on Old Time Memories. Big June takes puffs of that peyote and starts daydreamin'. Everywhere Big June went, he had to have a bitch with him and she ugly she didn't mean shit to him. Bitches crowdin' spaces at the skating rink. Friday is a great day to get high. Van Glorious is an underrated song by Big June!
Can't We Just is an ode to all the weed smokers out there! A great song to get faded to! Something to smoke blunts to. The beats are sick! The bass line is sick! All You Can Eat is continuation of Bread N Meat. Shake It Low and Panties Come Down are club joints! Roll It Up is an ode to all the weed smokers out there as well! Big June goes straight Reggae on this track! The last song is I Love Bangin'.
I rate this self-titled album, 5/5*****!
