Took-N-Bone album review
Took-N-Bone was a one time Hip Hop group from Flint, Michigan in 1993 who had a cassette EP by same name of the group. The cassette itself was self-titled with 4 songs. This EP was released independently on TOR. Took-N-Bone did a self-titled EP on cassette only in 1994 along with a cassette single called Basically Hit. Took-N-Bone was using outdated Hip Hop sounds by 90s standards which was a bit cookie cutter. Took-N-Bone was considered wack by some hip hop heads. The irony is that Took-N-Bone was acting gangsta! That's how they were cookie cutter.
Basically Hit was a diss song towards The Dayton Family. It was an old school Hip Hop song. It had that feel. TDF did not respond until they released What's On My Mind? On Po' Broke Records and Relativity Records in 1994. TDF songs that dissed Took-N-Bone were Watch Yo Ass and Flint Niggaz Don't Play. Took-N-Bone even dissed The Dayton Family on This is 4 The Public, Dopest 1, and Dopest 2. Took-N-Bone dissed TDF all over the tape.
As for the Took-N-Bone vs. TDF beef in 1994, they were trying to be gangsta on a diss track aimed at TDF called Basically Hit. They made jokes on Matthew Hinkle too. Basically Hit was a diss song towards The Dayton Family. Took-N-Bone was dissing every gangsta rap group at that time in Flint except for DOA, NFTP, and DFC. Took-N-Bone dissed TDF on Basically Hit because they were trying to get recognition and TDF saw that as a threat. So in 1994 TDF dissed Took-N-Bone all over the WOMM? album on songs like Watch Yo Ass, Flint Niggaz Don't Play, and Smoke For Free. TDF dissed Took-N-Bone so hard that it ended their career.
The Dayton Family was making the most money as a rap group from Flint at that time along with DFC, Top Authority, and DOA. Took-N-Bone always showed loved for DOA. That's how they were down with each other. Bone was down with NFTP since he was from Sarvis Park. NFTP and Took-N-Bone were down with each other. They were cool. That's why NFTP gave them shout outs all over the Scandalas album in 1993.
Mainly the reason that Took-N-Bone dissed The Dayton Family was about which rap group was making the most money at that time.
This is 4 The Public was a message to the public raising public awareness about what’s going on the world today with politics, social warfare, well being, and health. Many issues about social problems are discussed and debated by all members of Took-N-Bone. Izeek is more vocal on this track than any of the others.
[Took-N-Bone was the first rap group ever to come out of Flint along with DFC and TDF. Took-N-Bone started as a rap group in 1982 coming out from Sarvis Park located on the West Side of Flint, Michigan. The members of Took-N-Bone were Took (Timothy Johnson), a DJ named Iseek (Isaac Meeks), and Bone (Anthony Reaves). Basically Took-N-Bone was a trio. They were the OG's of rap coming from Sarvis Park on the Westside of Flint, Michigan in the 80s and 90s. Took-N-Bone were the OG's and founding fathers in Flint Rap. Took-N-Bone was a politically conscience old school hip-hop group that followed the fundamentals of the religion of Islam. Most of their music was recorded and produced at Silver Sun Studios in Flint.
As of today, Took-N-Bone is still around. They are still dope. They made an appearance at Fli City Awards in 2013. Took-N-Bone was nominated Best Hip Hop Group / Best Rap Group for the Fli City Awards in 2014. Took-N-Bone is cool with TDF since they settled down. Took-N-Bone and TDF have always been friends. That's how it always has been despite their small beefs and whatnot.]

Pimp C - Pimpalation album review
This album is so cold and playalistic that it became Pimpadelic like George Clinton. This album will take you on a pimps journey through life with Pimp C on this album. Mr. Lee puts in good use of his good productions skills on this album. This album was put out in 2006 during the Rap-A-Lot/Asylum record deal.
The Knockin' Doorz Down with such a badass track! It was so playalistic as cold ice during a Yukon snowstorm. Lil Keke wrecks it also! Pimp C was at his prime in the game at the time as you may all know. Pimp C was always ahead of his time and so was UGK when they made their songs. There needs to be an SUC remix of this song! An official one that is.
Pourin Up was another Southern classic song! Mike Jones help made this song a classic! So did Bun B. Also it deserved more radio play. Lyricism meets trap beats over southern rap and hip hop describe the genre. So you definitely will want to look into this if you're interested on type of material. Now with that said this song will be a classic even 10 years from now.
Gitcha Mind Right was overlooked. It was produced by Cory Mo. Most of Cory Mo's productions are overlooked of course. He is a Houston legend in production just as Jhiame is underground. This track had potential to become a single. It's perfect fitting for the album.
The Honey is an appropriate track for Jazze Pha. It sounds like something that Jazze Pha would do. It's quite suitable for him and what he's known for. If you pay attention to production by Jazze Pha, you'll know why.
Pimpalation is better than the crap that's out there right now with a select few albums of course!!

Mac Dre - Thizzelle Washington album review
Thizzelle Washington was released in 2004 on Thizz of course. This album is quite brehsive! This album will leave an everlasting effect into your life. Every track is a banger. Straight cuts! No material is skip worthy at all. Bay Area legends such as Yukmouth, Rydah J. Klyde, and Chuck Beez make guest appearances. So do Dubee and Syko! They appear as well.
Monday thru Sunday is about how Mac Dre promotes the Thizz lifestyle of prostitution, pimping, sleeping in late, uneployment, laziness, paraphernalia, smoking reefer and all that good shit! What could be more gangsta than smoking reefer during the morning in the Bay Area in Vallejo, Cali? Now that's Thizz!
Stuart Littles is dedicated to the freaks, females, hustlers, and drug distributors out there in the Bay Area. The song is mainly about gaining monetary profits from drug distributing on the mean streets while trying to make it out the hood without getting killed or indicted in the process. The twangy outlaw country guitar adds to that Wild West sound of this track.
The Mac named Dre is autobiographical track that needs no long explanation. It's about why Mac Dre is The Mac. This track is a dedication to long deceased Bay Area rapper The Mac. He had a buzz in the late 1980s. Let me put it that way.
Boss Tycoon is about how Mac Dre ran the Thizz scene like a boss. He's a boss with it. Let me put it that way. He was known as a hustler to the underground. Cutthoat is a gangsta track. Han Solo is a catch 22. Rap Life is self-explanatory. So is 4 Myself. Thizz Dance is a dance song.
The album is filled with the tongue-in-cheek humor with a certain degree of attitude in happy-go-lucky humor as usual.

OG Penguin - IT album review
Dream is a track inspired by Stephen King and produced by CSK. It hard like home. I love the trap beats. The lyrics were well on fire! Let's say that. Dream is the highlight track for this horrorcore based theme album. The killer ass bass is what sets Dream apart from the rest of this album. Dream has a brooding foreboding mood.
On Faya is about why this IT album is on fire!! So In Love is a downtempo brooding love track with Pelon as a guest artist. Candyman is a track that fits well into the album. Sippin' Dat Cup has killer ass bass in a downtempo foreboding mood. Scream is a slower mood filled track. I know is a very futuristic track about the outlook point of view of the rap game today.
IT album is a conceptional masterpiece! A timeless classic. It will remind you of Krizz Kaliko - Black Gold, Hopsin, BLH, or the movie Saw. TO OG Penguin, IT is a timeless masterpiece!

Less Than Zro - The Depot album review
The Depot by Less Than Zro was released on Big Heavy Records in 1993. (Big Heavy Records is not be confused with NOLA music distributor Big Easy.) The album was recorded and mixed at U Be U Studios in Saginaw, Michigan.
Less Than Zro is Saginaw's version BDP as Kaos & Mystro were Detroit's version of BDP except Less Than Zro is a more gangsta version of BDP! Kaos & Mystro were Detroit's answer to Boogie Down Productions. Less Than Zro were Saginaw's answer to Boogie Down Productions.
Nickel Plated is a song about how Trigger Man D is selling B-52 to fiends in the city of Saginaw which is a city full of fiends. Dopefiends that is! Trigger Man D explains the details of his drug dealing and prostitution ring while in the city of Saginaw. Trigger Man D is a nigga that his mother is always cursing profanities about. His father died from the same shit Trigger Man D is yelling out. The song Nickel Plated isn't about 24 inch rims that rappers be rappin' about nowadays. So don't get it twisted. Ya dig? Other than that, Trigger Man D sounds a lot like KRS-ONE on this track. In fact, Nickel Plated samples BDP - House Niggas and has that U BE U Studios sound to it.
Mind of a Gangsta is within the mindset of a gangsta from Saginaw, Michigan. It's about dope dealing, destruction of property, possession of stolen property, and disorderly conduct. Less Than Zro is a more gangsta version of BDP!
Around The Crib is about life at home in the hood. It's about life in the hood really. Growing up, playing games, having fun, cop shoot outs, drug raids, shooting dice, and cooking food. However it isn't all good in the hood. There's violence, drugs, crime, mischief, and mayhem.

Dertybird EP review
Dertybird is a rock band from the ATX. Austin, Texas that is. This EP was released on CD in 2007.
The front cover is ostrich wearing a Derby hat in a Victorian/Edwardian style formal dress suit for the daytime. The ostrich is a linen English style overcoat walking with a cane. The ostrich is probably on a day stroll enjoying the posh fine weather. Not with a mate of course. The back reminds of the 90s and 2000s Sub Pop early artwork style.
There are only 3 songs which makes this an EP of course. The duration of the tracks are the average of any early grunge demo tracks were in the 80s. The average duration of the tracks on here are 2 to 3 minutes long at that. The three tracks on this single are She Likes It, Here, and Edna with Edna being the shortest track of the three.
Edna is a rather short love ballad about a woman or girl named Edna. This is an intense love ballad. Not to mention that the vocals are intense too. Never knew that a song such as this composition would be so intense. Clayton is very clear with his vocals.

S.O. - Dedicated EP review
Strictly Original is Swift-T, Reg-T, The Hitman, and D The Rebel. This was released on cassette only by U Be U Studios in 1992. The group is S.O. was from Saginaw. The group had a couple of few singles out prior to this EP called Why U Wanna Act Like That?, Memories Of You, and Thought She Was All That.
Why U Wanna Act Like That? I love the heavy doo-wop bass style notes on this song. This song is about a certain female acting up in the club. Drinking is a common theme in this song. The drum beats by U BE U are good. The bass is rock bass.
D The Rebel is a politically conscience brother. He proves his political conscienceness on I Don't Trust My Government. Everything that is said and sung on this track is still true today. In fact it is even more relevant today now than it was back then. Swift-E is on the backing vocals and does a superb job at it. I can say that the mixing is on point.
Memories Of You should have been a single. Thought She Was All That sounds like a sad love ballad like somebody died.

Guttt Control self-titled album review
The self-titled album by Guttt Control from Flint, Michigan on GrayT Records (GrayT Entertainment), Lick-A-Wish Productions, and Guttt-A-Listic Productions. This album/EP was released in 1996. (Some sources say 1994.) Guttt Control is Tony Demoun, Blue Ballz, and Eddie Starborn. Guttt Control was a sexually explicit, hardcore, old school hip-hop group out of Flint in the mid 1990s. Think old school rap and party rap like Kid N Play, DFC, X-Clan or Boogie Down Productions!
Guttt Control released 2 EPs then vanished for some weird reason as every other rap group in Flint at that time with the exceptions of DFC, The Dayton Family, The Next Level Clique, and Top Authority.
Gutttro is the intro to Blue Ballz and Biggie Smalls, which is Blue Ballz solo track. (No references to Notorious B.I.G.!) This track is just a freestyle track with mild sexual references which are still wild. It samples More Bounce To The Ounce by Zapp. The low heavy bass reminds me of On My Hook Up by BODK.
Project Hoes is dedicated to all dem hoes in the projects in Flint and around the city. They're talking about ratchet hoodrat females too. Almost every neighborhood has them. This is dedicated to Civic Park, King Hood, Merrill Hood, Selby Hood, Beecher, Mt. Morris, Grand Blanc, Dayton Ave., Rooke St., Saginaw Street, King Hood, Eastside Flint, Burton, Begole Homes, Downtown Flint, Central Flint, and all the other hoods as well.
Sugar Daddy is about men who offer relationships to younger women after establishing a relationship that is very sexually active. The relationship is sexual. Sugar Daddy reminds me of a late night creep. This track is similar to the TLC song called Creep. It has that 1994 hip hop sound to it. The vocals are deep and on point.
Lil Man On Da Boat is about riding solo and being single. It's about that single life. The helicopter chopper in the intro using the fade in and fade out sound effect is quite different if I might add. Bone In The Bag was a track that appeared on the Melvin Riley solo album called Ghetto Luv.
Bone In The Bag is an ode to using condoms. The theme and message is quite similar to UTFO - Bone It and Bag It.
While this cassette too short to be an album, it was still a stellar superb EP! I really enjoyed the experience of listening to this cassette EP. Guttt Control was more of a sexual hardcore version of an old school hip-hop group. The sexual sound was a lot different in regards to the sound that was coming out of Flint at that time in the 90s. That's why I really liked it.

G.A.N. - A Handfull of GAN album review
G.A.N. is Ghetto Ass Niggaz for those who don't know. G.A.N. is from Detroit, Michigan and Flint. (G.A.N. has members from both Detroit and Flint.) G.A.N. is members Duanne "Nutty One" Harris, Donell "O.G. Trouble L.O.C." Britten, Reuce Deuce, and Octum Bell. The producers are J.T. and Frank G!
Wayy Down Deep is a soulful late night slow jam in lo-fi low quality. The volume setting for this track is way low for some reason. In Detroit is where the gangstas creep. Straight from the hood. This song will take your soul way down deep. It will take you way down deep. This particular song is filled with negativity offering no solution to the problem. Wayy Down Deep deals with problems of living in the ghetto as Wayy Down Deep is filled with cautionary tales the streets.
Away From The Pain is a track about wanting to escape away from all the pain. It's really about getting away from all the pain the life brings that comes with life's treasures also. Life can be full of pain and pleasure. Choose your own goals and make your own choices wisely.
Away From The Pain will remind you of Take Me Away From The Pain. It will remind you of that song too.
Detroit Keeps Rollin' "94" was the Detroit Anthem for the year 1994. Every hood and ghetto in the Detroit Metropolitan area was playing this song in their cars at stoplights everywhere in Detroit way back in 1994.
G.A.N. was criminally overlooked back in the 90s and 2000s. When you listen to GAN, you can feel the gritty, hardcore street sounds of Dayton Family, DOA, DFC, and Top Authority from the '90s-era. The tracks range from club tracks to cautionary tales of the evil wicked streets. Think mellow reality rap. Pure ghetto funk as OG Trouble Loc put it.

Red Sonnet - Across The Bridge album review
Red Sonnet is Sharron Harris and Jan Harris. This album was released in September 2014. Red Sonnet is a folk band. The whole album will remind you of Enya.
Across The Bridge is a melodical folk song great for drinking coffee to in a coffee shop. It's slow as a creek and 5 minutes long. Across The Bridge will remind you of Spirited Away by Enya. Well a bit of pop flair into the mix of this mellow tune.
Waters Flow will remind you of Shepherd Moon by Enya. Reminds me of Spirit Rivers too. It will remind you of that too. Waters Flow is a slow melodic tune that will give you the feeling of a typical song sung by New Age vocalist artist Enya. This whole album/EP will. Let me put it that way,
Sacred King is about 4 to 5 minutes long. It has a brooding mood yet retains that slow melodical tune that all of the other songs have throughout the whole album. Sacred King has a Kings of Leon feeling.
The Whitest Stone yet again reminds me of an Enya song. Fallen reminds me of an Alicia Keys song and a Tweet song mixed together. The soulful pop flair of neo-soul is definitely is in the contents of this album. Gathering is the shortest song on the entire album.

Mean Gene - Yes Yes Ya'll single review
DJ Clay did most of the production, Carlito-D wrote most of the single, Mean Gene was the incredible visionary of this single. This single was released in 1995 on Boomin' Records in Flint, Michigan. The front cover are the colors of the Green Bay Packers football team colors with the mascot hornet.
It's an All Night Thing when Mean Gene is on a late night creep chasing skirt and licking booty. This track is kind of a precursor to Freak Nasty - Da Dip. All Night Thing is mainly about late night sex. Feel that Freak Nasty vibe to it.
The incorporated Yes Yes Ya'll sample from Beastie Boys - Slow and Low is used on Yes Yes Ya'll. It has that East Coast feel to it. The timbre, beats, and production are on point! You can feel Mean Gene rockin' it during one of his live concerts on this one right here! Tom drums are used mixed in with the beats. You can tell Mean Gene put his heart and soul into it. Mean Gene is good at what he does.
Now onto the Live Concert version of Yes Yes Ya'll!! Mean Gene put his heart and soul into performing live at his concerts on stage! The crowd at the end went wild!!
Mean Gene is good at what he does. Feel Mean Gene rockin' it during one of his live concerts on this one right here! He knows how to put on a good show. The crowd at the end went wild!!

Mean Gene - Back To The Old School album review
DJ Clay did most of the production, Carlito-D wrote all of the album, and Mean Gene was the incredible visionary of this album. The production is samples from cuts of various old school Hip Hop/Rap classics everywhere.
This album was released in 1995 on Boomin' Records in Flint, Michigan. The front cover are the colors of the Green Bay Packers football team colors with the mascot hornet. You would have thought Mean Gene was from Wisconsin. For those who don't know, Mean Gene is from Flint and not Lansing, Michigan or Wisconsin as many people thought he was. Mean Gene is a real cool big dude.
The first two songs are based off of beer which is Mean Gene's favorite drink. The intro is called Beer Run ironically. The country samples are just yeehaw! Mean Gene loves his beer. He makes that point blank clear on the first two songs of this album. Now for those who want to know what a beer run is, look it up.
Back To The Old School is basically going back to the basics in old school Hip Hop. It's not just only about going back to the basics. It's about reminiscing about the old days or preferably the 1980s in this case. Drinking beer, eating chicken and ketchup, and going to concerts. Back in the days everything was cool. Back in the days all you needed was a boombox. When somebody rocked the party, nobody got shot. As for this song, he production is samples from cuts of various old school Hip Hop/Rap classics everywhere. Back To The Old School has that east coast sound!
It's an All Night Thing when Mean Gene is on a late night creep chasing skirt and licking booty. It only involves all the women that Mean Gene meets. All Night Thing is a precursor to Freak Nasty - Da Dip and a successor of Skeezer Pleaser - UTFO. This song is mainly about late night sex. You can feel that Freak Nasty vibe to it. The remix is even better! DJ Clay is on the wheels of steel! He does a superb job as usual! The bass is super heavy but not too hyphy!!
Feel the vibe of the pipe organ in harmony as if it were playing live at church on Sunday for the song Mad Flavor. The outlaw country sample was appropriate for this song. Mad Flavor should have been longer. Mad Flavor should have been 3 to 4 minutes long.
DJ Clay did a superb job on Wheels of Steel. The samples are on point. Wheels of Steel should have been longer also! Anything you know that DJ Clay does is the shit!! It hits hard. DJ Clay definitely goes hard on the wheels of steel wether it be live in concert or in the recording studio.
The kick drums and toms drums were perfect fitting in the live production on Ill Time. The Beastie Boys bass sample was ill! Ill Time is hark rock mixed with Rock 'n' Roll. Adventures based on smokes, chicken and alcohol is how it is at Mean Gene shows. It's all wildness and partying. Mean Gene knows how to put on a show and the crowd goes wild and ill!!
For those who don't know, Mean Gene was experimenting with the chopped and screwed sub-genre on Up On My Ship. He samples education history lessons from various formats of music in his skits. That’s exactly what he was doing on Up On My Ship. He did a stellar job mixing within.
The incorporated Yes Yes Ya'll sample from Beastie Boys - Slow and Low is used on Yes Yes Ya'll. It has that East Coast feel to it. The timbre, beats, and production are on point! Feel Mean Gene rockin' it during one of his live concerts on this one right here! The Tom drums are used and mixed in with the beats. You can tell Mean Gene put his heart and soul into it. Mean Gene is good at what he does. The crowd at the end went wild!! Mean Gene put his heart and soul into performing live at his concerts on stage!
Now onto the Live Concert version of Yes Yes Ya'll!! Mean Gene put his heart and soul into performing live at his concerts on stage! Mean Gene is good at what he does. Feel Mean Gene rockin' it during one of his live concerts on this one right here! He knows how to put on a good show. The crowd at the end went wild!!
Here's how Mean Gene was received by his audience in the Dirty South, particularly Texas. You see not too many people in Texas knew who Mean Gene was. Even during Boomin' Records prime from the timespan from the years 1993 to 1997. Only a handful of people did.

Yacktown Boys Club - I need a witness album review
While Yacktown Boys Club raps about guns and dope they still keep a positive message throughout the album. That's what the track Guns-N-Dope is about. The life of a criminal. [An the insight of the life of a criminal.] Ironically Guns-N-Dope promotes criminal activity rather than finding a solution to ending crime from happening. It rather glorifies the criminal lifestyle rather than demonizing it. That's why I pointed out the symbolism in irony. That same literature elements can be said for the track Smoking On That Indo.
U Gotts To Feel It is about feeling someone go through their struggles and relate to them. Someone from the ghetto who grew up poor can relate to a musician who grew up from the ghetto. It's also about feeling the vibe in you. Vibe is the main word in this track.
Too Tight is aimed at those playa haters out there. It's about coming up on this track. This track is straight up raw and grimey. Think of early Mos Def and DJ Clay. You can hear some rock samples on this track.
"P" Homicide reflects on the crime waves that directly affect the city of Pontiac. The hard hitting low bass notes gives this track that eerie feel. "P" Homicide is straight up raw, gutta, and grimey. It's a ghetto tech track. Pontiac is tough community to have an upbringing in. In the beginning of this track, there was a sound clip of a news broadcast about the crime going on in the city of Pontiac.
[Yacktown Boys Club - I need a witness came out on Urban Ventured Music (Scotti Bros.) and Disc Makers in 1996. Anthony Williams is the executive producer for this album. ]

Mack Tha Jack'a self-titled album review
His first cassette came out on U BE U in 1993 in the Saginaw area sold 5,000 copies locally! This is one of the realist cassettes to ever drop outta Saginaw in 1993 next to Hank's debut cassette. Dope G-Funk lyrics and beats filled with horrorcore violence on top of that classic smooth gangsta rap. Mr. Pratt of Killa Productions and Gee Pierce of U BE U Studios do the productions of this EP. The Skanless Presents…Mack Tha Jack'a! Stevie Mack is Mack Tha Jack'a!
Stevie Mack is Mack Tha Jack'a on the Intro: Stevie Mack. Mack Tha Jack'a takes on a wild ride on out the introduction. The introduction of Stevie Mack is self-explanatory.
Kids playing outside are heard at the beginning of the intro. They are chanting: “Stevie Mack, dressed in black, he had a semi-automatic strap.” A parent tells the kids to get their ass in the house. As far as the parent is concerned Stevie Mack is dead. The door creaks open only to hear a murderous bloodshed has occurred by multiple gunshots. To where, who knows? The intro is very short, playalistic, gangsta, and killa! All at the same time! Mack Tha Jack'a showcases what is to be foreshadowing a wild ride throughout the entire album. This is on hell of an intro and is pure fucking fire! Mack Tha Jack'a ain't the one to fuck with after all.
Mack Tha Jack'a is a self-explanatory track about who Mack Tha Jack'a is. The Mack Tha Jack'a track is rather short however. This one is pure fucking fire!
Mack Tha Jack'a explains about what events were going on in his life at time he recorded this album. Such as how he was doing financially, him having a child so his pockets start hurting from a financial standpoint, living a life of crime, selling crack cocaine, dealing with the turmoil economy of Michigan, and how Saginaw as a city got bad with its share of problems.
Mack Tha Jack'a is a repetitive track to most professional music critics but fuck them! This track is the shit! Mack Tha Jack'a repping U BE U to the fullest on this one. That G-funk synth was a good note. It gives you that eerie vibe that Esham displayed at one point.
It's 1993 and times are hard in the city of Saginaw. Mack Tha Jack'a doesn't give a fuck. Mack Tha Jack'a was selling stones at the time on the East Side of Saginaw and the Sunny Side (South Side). He has a child so his pockets started hurting from a financial standpoint. The rest is about "being about that life" knowing that haters never could live this lifestyle of crime that Mack Tha Jack'a is rapping about. How can you understand this life? How can you live this live? You can’t understand this life that Mack Tha Jack'a lives.
Doin’ Dirt is about how Mack Tha Jacka did his crimes throughout the city of Saginaw. Mack Tha Jack'a heavily relies on G-Funk to make this track enjoyable with help from U BE U producers Gee Pierce, Don Q, and Mr. Pratt. They are funky producers. Doin’ Dirt is a classic example of how gangsta rap should be.
He explains thoroughly how he committed his crimes throughout the city of Saginaw ranging from burglary to murder from drug dealing to gambling. Everything that’s related to hustlin’ in the streets. Haters never could live this lifestyle of crime that Mack Tha Jack'a is rapping about. How can you understand this life? How can you live this live? You can’t understand this life that Mack Tha Jack'a lives.
Mack Tha Jacka did his dirt in his days like a dirty dog. He packs a glock in his pants to make them niggaz dance. So he turned to the illegal drug trade for economic development. He can’t help it due to the economic downfall in Saginaw. Now he’s laying low like a bullfrog. He’s laying low in his neighborhood. He continues to associate with drug dealers as an associate. Money talks, bullshit walks.
Feelin 4 A Killin' is about how Mack Tha Jack'a had a feeling to kill people. Feelin 4 A Killin' is one of those killing track that makes you want to kill someone. A person perhaps you had a grudge against in the past or for whatever fucking reason. This is that music you play before you kill somebody. [A killing song.] It's kill a cop music in a skanless way. Feelin 4 A Killin' is much more darker than Cop Killer by Body Count. This that Skanless sick ass shit no one can fuck with!
He’s got a feelin for killin’. These bullets that Mack Tha Jacka shoots out you could never duck. Mack Tha Jacka will be creeping while you’re asleep in your bedroom. You’ll meet the Jacka , but you’ll never get to speak a word. You’ll look me in the eyes and say “That’s Stevie Herd!” He’ll leave with all your dough as you bleed. Mack Tha Jack'a doesn't give a fuck in the police come. If them Burt Street Boys can kill them, Mack Tha Jacka can too. Mack tha Jacka makes reference to them Burt Street Boys which is a local gang in Saginaw. Note how this is the only track where Mack Tha Jacka gives away his legal name Stephen Herd.
Mack Tha Jacka is now located in the basement staring at the ceiling. Now he’s got a feelin for killin’. Ron Pratt sniffed much cocaine. A drug deal just went bad and now Mack wants to kill someone or rather go on a killing spree. It continues from there.
He’s got a feelin for killin’. He wonders, “What am I to do?” He tells his shrink about his problems. The shrink is scared of Mack Tha Jack'a which is said by the shrink. 60 homicides reported in Saginaw, Michigan. The police have evidence of the murders on the map of Saginaw, Michigan. The killing kills; it never stops. The killing trends never stop.
Cross Thoughts is the first track on the Mackin Side of the cassette. If you dig deep inside the mind which contains a box of cross thoughts. It's all about the thoughts of a deranged killa. A boss takes a loss. Mack Tha Jack'a puts in work on the emphasis a ⅓rd of the way through the Cross Thoughts track.
Cross Toughts talks about how Mack Tha Jack'a grew up in a cycle of poverty and how he overcame poverty. Mack Tha Jack'a needs SSI but is ineligible to qualify for SSI, so he turned to the illegal drug trade as an inevitable result. The horrorcore element is very much prevalent in this track here. Cross Thoughts is very horrorcore how Mack Tha Jack'a makes references to voodooism. Mack Tha Jack'a hit hard on this track!
Steady Stackin' is a track that calms the whole mood down for the Mackin Side of the cassette. The Fleetwood Mac sample is prefect calming down an albums mood for the entire album. Steady Stackin' untwists the violence down. Ironically the track is about steady stacking income while leading a life of crime.
Mack Tha Jack'a is peeping out a lick in the neighborhood while selling drugs. Now Mack Tha Jack'a is the only nigga in his hood pumpin' crack. It takes a heart to be a killa, G. It's all about money macking, big pimping, and pistol packing! He calls up Mr. Pratt to prepare his next flight so he can make some more transactions on drugs.
This is one playalistic track!
Mack Tha Jack'a gives shout outs to the Skanless Family. [Particularly Damon The Demon Seed and Bone Skanless (R.I.P.).] Mack Tha Jack'a explains at the end of Steady Stackin' about how he found Bone Skanless. Mack Tha Jack'a went through the roughest and foulest ghettoes to find this nigga, That Nigga Bone. [Bone Skanless that is.]
The last track is Outro - Skanless Family with Damon The Demon Seed and Bone Skanless (R.I.P.).
This is one hell of an outro! Mack Tha Jack'a is a part of the Skanless Family along with Bone Skanless and Damon The Demon Seed. Not to mention Mr. Pratt. One thang is for sure is that the Skanless Family knew how to be Skanless on a level that nobody knew how to fuck with! Mack Tha Jack'a is taking these niggaz out on this outro! Mack Tha Jack'a went through the roughest foulest ghettoes to find this nigga, That Nigga Bone that is.
The Skanless Family is Mack Tha Jack'a, Bone Skanless, Dirty Jerk, Mexican Mike, Nalda, Madame Dane, and Damon The Demon Seed as well as others too. Mack Tha Jack'a, Bone Skanless, Mexican Mike, Dirty Jerk, Nalda, Madame Dane, and Damon The Demon Seed were ahead of their time.
5/5*****!!
