Prozak – Paranormal album review
If you are familiar with what Tech N9ne’s label Strange Music usually puts out, then you know it's going to be the shit, killer, and hardcore! This was released on Strange Music in 2013. Think Rock and Hip Hop/Rap.
The intro says hopes and dreams fill our desires to live. You will encounter good and evil people throughout in life. Prozak tells on the intro how one must spend time in darkness. The next track is Prepare For The Worst. Prozak tells us there is one life, one death, and one path. Prozak also tells us on this track to hope for the best. The lyrics are real meaningful with inspiration.
End Of Us has some killer guitar sound!! Sid Wilson of Slipknot is also a featured guest star on this track! Think heavy metal. The Hip-Hop DJ scratching sounds can be heard on this track. Tell A Tale Of Two Hearts is about bad relationships. Line in the Middle with Twizted is the hardest metal rap track ever!! Best track on the album!! Farewell is a reference to mankind's mistreatment of the planet Earth. Dark deep organ piano sounds are heard on the track Fuck You.
Perception Deception is about what's real and what's not. Everything is not as you make it seem is really what this track is all about. Also the 9-to-5 work grind is mentioned as well. Conforming to the normal everyday life; It's like you're a slave.
Wake Up You're Dead sounds as if this track came from a badass horror movie made in 2011. Which makes the track even more hardcore!! The deep voice on Hate sounds similar to the voice used on Brotha Lynch Hung's song Meat from the 2010 album Dinner And A Movie. No coincidence there. Don't good get me wrong, it's still badass!!
Until Then is a track that mellows out the whole album. It's just one of those tracks that you mellow out to. But don't let that demotivate you to not buy the album. It's still great! Million Miles Away is an acoustic track and another mellow tune. Tune Back is where the album picks up to its hardcore metal rap peak slowly. The same goes for Full Moon. One Of These Days is yet another mellow tune track. Alien is the last track on the album where it finally picks up.
The lyrics are real meaningful with inspiration. This album was everything it was hyped up to be! Prozak's flows are undoubtedly the best!! (There are bonus tracks on the re-release editions of this album!)

Lil Zane - The Big Zane Theory album review
Lil Zane was trying to mature himself as a person using the name Zane instead of Lil Zane as he did on his previous debut album Young World:The Future. It was only natural that he made this musical move for a selective business decision. The management was changed from Worldwide Entertainment to The Forster Bros. for this album. Lil Zane is Zane Copeland Jr.! Lil Zane makes the rebound on his return to his music career with Envyi being all over this album as the background vocalist on most of the tracks on this overlooked masterpiece of an album.
Lil Zane did an educational wordplay on title The Big Bang Theory and turned it into the brehsive album title of The Big Zane Theory. Lil Zane does indeed get educational on this album when it comes to gaining a higher education. That's how The Big Zane Theory came into place.
In the Intro (Ready Or Not), Lil Zane and Envyi sample The Fugees - Ready Or Not. This is one of those tracks perfect to play during a baseball game. Lil Zane makes the rebound on his return to his music career with Envyi being all over this album as the background vocalist on most of the tracks on this overlooked masterpiece of an album. The production is superb! The basslines are explosive! A great way to start off 2003 with!
Do It, Don't Stop is a reprise track from Intro (Ready Or Not) The synth horns seem to be made to sound live. The reprise track Do It, Don't Stop will remind you of the beginning introductory track for a Broadway musical stage play when the play is first started to being conducted as the actors are ready to act on stage.
Do It, Don't Stop is celebrating the return of Lil Zane as Zane basically. Lil Zane was trying to mature himself as a person using the name Zane instead of Lil Zane as he did on his previous debut album Young World:The Future.
L.I.L.Z.A.N.E. is the Big Zane/Lil Zane anthem of this album right here! Envyi does a great job on this track with singing the background vocals. Lil Zane tells us all about him on this standout track song here! Lil Zane is still banging out classics to this days. Lil Zane is glued to his original masterplan of his game plan. Other than that, L.I.L.Z.A.N.E. had a positive potential to be a single and have a music video.
The bass is quite hyphy on Bounce. Bounce could have been used a B-Side to the Tonight I'm Yours single but there already have been too many singles with the title "Bounce" in the music business already used by a handful of numerous artists over the years. We can see why Priority did not choose the Bounce track to be as a single.
Tonight I'm Yours is about Lil Zane strictly focusing on his girlfriend instead of his acting career, music career, family, and, of course, friends. Lil Zane does this by turning off his 2-way cellular phone and taking off time from touring for his music career.
Tonight I'm Yours is the hit single of this album despite charting on the BillBoard Charts hitting from #106 to #108. Using Tank as a featured guest artist was a smart move because Tank was already established in the music business when Lil Zane was just getting started in the music business. Tonight I'm Yours is a basically a love song with Tank.
Peel Out is all about wildin' out! With Enyvi on the track as the background vocalist, it makes Lil Zane eye candy. Lil Zane is obviously living the fast life in his musical career and his acting career. Only real true ballers really "peel out". Peel Out is very sexually suggestive when it comes to dealing with the song's subject material. A lot of model car references are made.
In The Strip Club is a skit/interlude that showcases Lil Zane's maturity. He shows us how he can have fun in the strip club and have girls all on his side like dat. Lil Zane be doggin' all this hoes on this track up in the strip club. It will remind you of She's A Bitch by Missy Elliott.
.
Shake It is a reprise to the In The Strip Club skit/interlude. Lil Zane be doggin' all this hoes on this track. He shows us how he can have fun on Shake It.
Lil Zane has anything you want and anything you got on How We Ride. Anything you want and Lil Zane's got. Lil Zane got it locked. The block has love for Lil Zane. How We Ride reminds me of Top Down and Money Stretch. Shit gets serious on this track here called How We Ride
All $ Ain't Good $ is telling us that all money is not good money. People invent and invest in dirty ways into getting other peoples money when it comes to scamming them. People use scams. Invest in your money wisely. Be very careful with your money.
Don't Tell is about keeping it on the down low and keeping it strictly hush, hush when Lil Zane's on the late night creep in these strip clubs and night clubs.
Come Runnin' is a morning after type of track Come Runnin' is a sex track/love song. It had a lot of potential to be a single along many other tracks on this album. Come Runnin' is very similar to Peel Out, Tonight I'm Yours, and Do It, Don't Stop. Envyi is on Come Runnin'.
Damn is just about as serious as How We Ride. This can't be true! Well it is! So deal with it! Damn is aimed to all the haters that want to see Lil Zane's downfall. Now it's just Lil Zane and these two unidentified women up in the club. The party never ends when Lil Zane's around. It never ends when Lil Zane's around. He's a pimp in the rap game.
The Vision (I.O.U.) is a more of a dedication track than rather a diss track or a love song. Lil Zane tells us his career would not be possible without the support and love of his fans. Groupies too. Lil Zane tells us never turn your back on your fans because they are the ones who are there supporting your career and your business ventures. He dedicates The Vision (I.O.U.) to his family and friends first. And of course his fans last. I.O.U. is basically The Vision of Lil Zane.
If Priority Records had promoted this album right along with Lil Zane's acting career in feature films, Lil Zane would have been on the same level as Lil Wayne is today instead of being an executive officer behind the scenes in the music business. Lil Zane's mistake on this album was using the name Zane instead of Lil Zane as he did on Young World:The Future. Lil Zane was trying to mature himself as a person but it was confusing for previous Lil Zane fans to find this album under the name Zane. That's why this album did not go platinum the way Young World:The Future did. There weren't as many music videos shoot and promoted for this album as there were on Young World:The Future. Do It, Don't Stop, L.I.L.Z.A.N.E., Bounce, Peel Out, How We Ride, Come Runnin', and The Vision (I.O.U.) all had potential to be hit singles!
Lil Zane did an educational wordplay on title The Big Bang Theory and turned it into the brehsive album title of The Big Zane Theory. Lil Zane came up with the awesome idea of using The Big Zane Theory as the album title. Lil Zane does indeed get educational on this album when it comes to gaining a higher education on tracks such as The Vision (I.O.U.), L.I.L.Z.A.N.E., and All $ Ain't Good $. That's how The Big Zane Theory came into place.
The Big Zane Theory album was underrated, under promoted, and overlooked by the professional music critics, highly educated university professors, mainstream news media, mainstream music fans, hip hop heads, rap heads, and mass media alike. Lil Zane makes the rebound on his return to his music career with Envyi being all over this album as the background vocalist on most of the tracks on this overlooked masterpiece of an album.
Lil Zane, Capitol, and Priority had made a smart business decision to have Envyi all over this album as the main background vocalist.
The Big Zane Theory album was underrated, under promoted, and overlooked by Priority Records and Capitol Records. They should have promoted and packed this album a lot better than they did. Instead of promoting Bone Thugs, Eazy-E, MC Ren, Snoop Dogg, and Roscoe, Priority Records could have better promoted Lil Zane in his career and this album.
Anyway… The Big Zane Theory is just as good as Young World:The Future! So if you haven't picked up The Big Zane Theory, buy it now!

Soulful Ernie - Street Talking single review
Soulful Ernie - Street Talking that came out in 1982 & 1983 on Lyons Den out of San Diego, California. Soulful Ernie is the earliest example of San Diego Hip Hop/Rap. Party Rock was supposed to be a hit that Soulful Ernie would think that would make him as famous as Motown but instead only 200 copies of this single were pressed up! Soulful Ernie was young and in over his head at the time.
Street Talking is a San Diego classic. It is what people from San Diego refer to as neighborhood music. Think similar to The Green Eyes or Prhyme Suspect. Anyway… Soulful Ernie thought that Street Talking would make him as famous as Motown and he would have the ability to blow up big, but instead only 200 copies of this single were pressed up! Soulful Ernie was young and in over his head at the time.
Hard Times is dedicated to all the brothers and sisters who have been dealing with struggling through all the hard times in their life.

Kyle Turner - Sincerely Yours album review
Kyle Turner plays the saxophone. Well, the tenor saxophone to be exact. And he is quite good at it. Derrick Edmondson and Kyle Turner had written the title track Sincerely Yours. Kyle Turner covers songs by Marvin Gay, James Nix, Janet Jackson, Kerry Wilkins, Tim Gant, and Lalah Hathaway.
Derrick Edmondson and Kyle Turner had written the title track Sincerely Yours. In fact, Only Yours is really the only original song of the 10 songs that are on this album. Which is the irony pointing out for a humorist insight full of humor. Kyle Turner takes credit for most of the songwriters credits on Sincerely Yours since he is the one who wrote this jazz compositional piece. At least Kyle Turner gives credit to most of the songwriters who he covered by saxophone in the insert booklet credits.

Carlito 810 - Born Identity album review
Imagine That (All I Do) is the FlyCy anthem of 2014! Hands down! Imagine That (All I Do) is the 2014 answer to 1994 single hit I Wish by Skee-Lo. This could be an underground hit single with a strong cult following that is cultivating. This track right here is an anthem! You can hear a bit of rock in this. Imagine That is a real heartfelt track by C-Lo D.
Yup!Yuup! is another one of those hype anthem tracks. Pump It Loud changes the mood of this album real quick. For those who listened to the album you'll know why. Let It Be should be a #1 hit! You can hear a bit of rock in this also.
Bless Da Child is an autobiographical track about child who upbringing is by drug addict parents and dwelling in an impoverished area. Da Champion marks on the return of Carlito 810. Born Identity is what Flint hip hop is missing in! This album rocks!

GIP - Gary's Infamous Poets album review
Looking for some spoken word poetry and gangsta rap music? Then this is the right album for you! Think Music spoken word poetry. GIP is five funky dudes from the town of Gary that produced legends such as Michael Jackson, The Jackson 5, and 812 Souljaz. GIP as a group does most spoken word poetry similar to Happy Tooth & Dug. GIP had six members at one point from 2000 to 2006.
This album however was locally pressed and is now very hard to find which is why this album is now extremely rare. They only press their albums on CD-r now as producers. GIP is from Gary, Indiana.

Tweet - It's Me Again Sampler album review
This album sampler was a CD that Tweet gave to radio stations and her fans during her 2004 tour to promote the It's Me Again album which would be released in 2005 on Goldmind Inc. and Atlantic Records. (Some tracks may or may not be on the retail album of It's Me Again.)
Tweet gives off her southern swagger on Turn The Lights Off is a sweet song! Missy Elliott is all over the song Turn The Lights Off being the DJ especially at the beginning. She does her famous ad-libbing over the callout hooks throughout Turn The Lights Off.
Two Of Us is a beautiful duo with Tweet's daughter Tashawna Johnson (Starchild). Two Of Us is a duo of Tweet and Tashawna. The song is about 3 to 4 minutes long in track duration. One thing that separates Tweet from many popular R&B singers today is songs that celebrates the relationship between mother and daughter.
Cab Ride (Taxi) samples the introduction music from the retro television show Taxi. Tweet's voice was so sultry and rich in harmony on the subtle song entitled Taxi. If you just listen closely the bridge is the best part of the song.
We Don't Need No Water is a tight jam and cover version of The Roof is On Fire. Missy Elliott is all over this song as well of course.
Tweet takes it back to the old school a cappella production sound on You. You is very rich, sultry, and soulful. You is a very rich, sultry love ballad.
Tweet wonders what she ever saw in this particular man in this song. She fell in love with him at first sight. Tweet wonders what she ever saw in him. That's right. In other words he is getting the boot at the very end of You.
If the original crew members and people were at Atlantic and had Elektra not folded in 2004, we might have gotten a better result from this album.

Lil Sin - The Greatest Flames album review
This was released on CD by SoufField and nationally distributed by Select-O-Hits in 2006. This CD is available in stores and online unlike many of his other albums with the exception of Livin'-N-Sin. The Greatest Flames is basically a "greatest hits" compilation of hits handpicked by Lil Sin.
Momma Don't Worry is a track that Jhiame produced. Jhiame even sung on this track. You can hear Jhiame's soulful voice really stand out on this track right here. It's not really the best track to start the album with. The Game Iz Mine would have been a better track to start off the album with. Just because the track The Game Iz Mine has the title "The Game". Momma Don't Worry is often referred to as Momma Don't Cry by many Lil Sin fans.
Free is another song. This is the remix version of Free and NOT the original version from Who Got Yo Back on BLVD Records. This version of Free is more crunk and bounce music oriented than the original from 1998. Both versions are off the chain! This song was a hit back in San Antonio and in the state of Texas during 1998 to 2000. This song features both UGK members Bun B and Pimp C (R.I.P.) with their trill flows.
Who Got Yo Back is about who really has your back and who doesn't have your back. Be careful who you make friends with and who you're friends are. You can hear the sounds an alien UFO weird loopy sound, the Chinese zither, a Koto, a tambourine, and bells. I love the production style on this track!
Texas Boys features both Big Mello and SPM. A great Texas Rap combination! (This song was done before SPM got locked up.) Big Mello and Lil Sin should have done more tracks together. Lil Keke would be an appropriate artist for this track.
Trapped In The Balla features SoufField label mates Mr. Joshay, Cashus, and Lil Sin. SoufField gets mentioned too. (That's Lil Sin's label right now.) Trapped In The Balla is very similar to Fly, Danga, Momma Don't Worry, and Who Got Yo Back.
Fly has that 70s feel of funk to it. Fly features the female duo NOLA (Knuckleheadz). They are from New Orleans, Louisiana. I can hear a hawk in the track. The guitars are great. You just want to be free as a bird on this song right here.
The soulful Billy Cook makes an appearance on Platinum Plaques. If Jhiame and Billy Cook had been on the same track, it would have been an epic combination! Because they all represent the great state of Texas!
On Frustrated By Death, Lil Sin learns that death is inevitable. He sees things clearly in a whole other world. His sanity is gone. Ricé, a well known producer from San Antonio, is in the background vocals. I love the heavy synths used on this song. Ricé sure knows how to put together a masterpiece song. Frustrated By Death was death themed with a dark mood with heavy lyricism and gangsta rap.
Danga is another underrated track along with Fly. The song gets fast paced real quick. Danga is very similar to Trapped In The Balla.
On Hustla No Mo, Lil Sin shows us he is not a hustler anymore. Them niggaz is scared. Haters be runnin' wild. The Game belongs to Lil Sin right now as currently speaking. Lil Sin represents the city of San Antonio, Texas on this track.
On Mind Keeps Wondering , Lil Sin wonder what life is like in the afterlife. Lil Sin wonder what happens to him after death. I love the production skills! Denise James is singing the background vocals.
If Lil Sin had included songs from his Young Namar albums instead of songs from the My Secret album, this compilation would have been a lot better.

Soeur Sourire - The Singing Nun album review
The Singing Nun folk musical album was by Soeur Sourire better known as Sister Smile to the English speaking world. This wonderful album was released on vinyl on Philips in 1963. Soeur Sourire was internationally known for her hit song called Dominique back in 1963. Soeur Sourire's songs were religious folk songs based on the religion of Christianity. All of her songs were sung in French. The Canadian and US versions of this vinyl had paintings illustrated by Soeur Sourire herself and a multilingual lyrical notebook with lyrics to the religious song in French and English. The illustrations are very uniquely beautiful.
Soeur Sourire was born as Jeanine Deckers in 1933 in the country of Belgium and was a member in the Dominican Order of Belgium as a nun. During her long childhood, Soeur Sourire was born into a religious lifestyle of Christianity in the denomination of Catholicism. Soeur Sourire was known to be a Catholic too. Soeur Sourire was raised in a very strict religious household with many rules and regulations put in place during her childhood. No dating, smoking, consumption of alcoholic beverages, or anything that would be considered worldly would not be permitted and tolerated. During her teenage years, Soeur Sourire became very fluent in speaking the French language. In her early adulthood, Soeur Sourire had become a nun. Soeur Sourire had lead a both happy and sad religious life.
Soeur Sourire was known for carrying her companion guitar named Adele which she would perform religious folk songs on during daybreak at her local convent for the sisters and children at the local church. As an adult, she was very passionate as singer-songwriter! Most of Soeur Sourire's songs were religious folk songs based on the religion of Christianity. She is very fluent in speaking French and that is why all of her songs are sung in French. Soeur Sourire had performed religious folk songs on her guitar for the Mother Superiors, Sisters, and saints at her convent sometimes during her religious studies as mandated by the Dominican Order.
Soeur Sourire was internationally known for her hit song called Dominique back in 1963. Dominique had gained airplay on the radio waves in countries such as France, Canada, United States, Belize, Mexico, Spain, Guatemala, and Belgium. That folk song was her most well known hit around the world.
Saint Dominic was the founder of the Dominican Order. The Dominicans are not a Silent Order. He spent an extensive amounts of time on praying and silent contemplation. Saint Dominic had wondered the continent of Europe barefooted whatever the conditions were.
During the reign of King John Of England in the 1200s, England was at war with France which turned out to be disastrous, violent, and thus deadly. The England-France relationship did not get along during that time period. There were many bloody slayings and killings caused by the casualties of war. The war had ended in 1224 before the end of the King John reign. England and France did not get along politically despite being allies for each other. The politics were well played out and out of control.
Cactus Flower (Fleur De Cactus) is an overlooked religious folk song.
The cactus flower is chosen by the Lord to bloom on the paths of Paradise and to sing the glory of the Lords name in a respectful religious manner. Soeur Sourire tells us when your imagination tells you that it is senseless to throw in the sponge and escape the negative wind. Throw in the sponge is similar metaphor phrase to 'Thrown in the towel.".
Soeur Sourire would like to be the wind singing everywhere and dancing everywhere. She would like praise thee Lord while she is dancing in the wind as she is singing religious folk hymns of course. Soeur Sourire would like to be a cloud floating in the sky next to the sun. As you see the cloud, look for thy face O Lord. Soeur Sourire would like to be her favorite instrument which is a guitar with a singing heart. Like a guitar, Soeur Sourire will fulfill and finish this religious composition piece of a folk song.
Another overlooked religious folk song is All The Roads.
Soeur Sourire tells us that all the roads of this world will lead you to Heaven and the roaming wind will take you toward the sun, which is euphemistically encoded for Hell. Joy is in her heart as the meadows sing along with the flowers. Soeur Sourire has her joy in the Lord. All the roads on Planet Earth are strewn with friendship. The Lord is waiting to meet you! Somehow all the roads of the plain disappear in spite of joys and sorrows towards the bright horizon. All roads of life are full of hope.
Je Voudrais (I Would Like) is a personal heartfelt religious folk song written by Soeur Sourire herself. You will enjoy this folk song very much!
This wonderful album is recommended if you are very religious and practice the religion of Christianity or if you are a devout Catholic. If you enjoy religious folk songs, then this is an ideal album for you!
5/5*****!!
