Glenn Miller - The Glenn Miller Carnegie Hall Concert album review

Well, this album was performed by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra if you want to get technical with me. Yes, this is a live album. The Glenn Miller Carnegie Hall Concert is a live album by Glenn Miller and his Orchestra on RCA Victor that was released in 1958.

Glenn Miller and his Orchestra were the last orchestra band on the bill to perform at night to celebrate the 25th anniversary of ASCAP for that even that was occurring at that time. The Glenn Miller performance was both a popular and critical success. This live album ranged to anything full-scale swing, slow-step paced waltz, upbeat Foxtrot dances, and romantic ballads.

Glenn Miller - Selections From The Film The Glenn Miller Story album review

This compilation album is more like a soundtrack since it's for a film. The most well known Jazz hit songs by Glenn Miller on this compilation album are Moonlight Serenade, American Patrol, Tuxedo Junction, St. Louis Blues, a String of Pearls, Little Brown Jug, and In The Mood.

The Glenn Miller Story is easily told in just 8 compositional songs. Every song is unique by popular music standards and jazz standards. His success story is truly unique. He created the "Miller standards" in jazz music that are still currently used to this day. These tunes have been wisely chosen by RCA. Glenn Miller had considered these tunes special indeed.

Moonlight Serenade is a special jazz composition piece for couples to waltz to slowly to at night during Cotillion ball or Hunt ball in a ballroom. Moonlight Serenade is the best-remembered theme of modern vintage jazz. The jazz song Moonlight Serenade is an extremely splendid single. Moonlight Serenade a Top Ten hit on the U.S. pop charts in 1939 while reaching onto the BillBoard charts.

Night & Day - Day & Night album review

R&B duo Night & Day is Night (Gasner Hughes) and Day (Toney Martinez) from Flint, Michigan. Hughes is dark and sings the higher parts. Martinez is light and sings lower. Night & Day have been singing together for 15 years. they've appeared on internationally released albums by MC Breed, The Dayton Family, Jake the Flake, Imajin, Lyfe Jennings, Frankie J, Xzibit, and many more! Night & Day also appeared on The Dayton Family's "What's on Your Mind?" album from 1995. Night & Day were the soulful background vocals for The Dayton Family as well.

Today, R&B duo Night & Day can be heard contributing on the every occasional songs to film soundtracks and performing as background vocalists for various notable national acts.

Dante’s Girl tells the story of a man caught between temptation and loyalty when the girlfriend of his jailed best friend comes on to him for some advice of course. In fact, the song Dante's Girl was based on a real true story. A story of a situation that happened to Day (Toney Martinez).

What the Deal Be (Baby’s Daddy) is one of those baby mama/baby daddy songs. The singer finds out that his girlfriend is running around on him with other people and not just with anyone in particular. It’s everyone! She’s sleeping around with everyone and having sex.

Program is such a sweet song. The beats and soulful background really add emphasis to the entire song. It’s almost similar to a slow jam.

Night & Day explains Game Recognize Game that they’ve got game so you can’t run game on them. Game Recognize Game samples a portion of the composition I Don't Believe You Want To Get Up And Dance written by The Gap Band. Not too many musicians and artists sample compositions written by The Gap Band at all.

I Got You Faded is about how the singer got this girl faded by love the first time she saw him. Apparently he was that handsome. The singer got the girl so high that he got her faded. No, I Got You Faded is not a drug ballad contrary to popular beliefs despite of what others may say about their music and this ballad song.

Night & Day were very overlooked as an R&B powerhouse back in the day! The music industry and mainstream news media did not really recognize their gifts and potential as an R&B duo. Night & Day had lead a charmed life.

Z-Ro - Let The Truth Be Told album review

Mo City Don is the best freestyle track that Rap-A-Lot has put together so far. Z-Ro flows off good on here. Respect My Mind is a slow trance dance type of track. Juvenile brings a slow clever, heavy solid hook on The Mule. Platinum is a professionally produced track. Platinum is about the game.

Z-Ro needs to stop releasing albums with the lame drug names and go back to his pre-2008 style of rapping. The drug titles get annoying after a while. The drug references were lame to some hardcore Z-Ro fans. Z-Ro needs to get back into his Straight Profit days style of rapping. The trap beats don't do him too much justice.

This album isn't emotional and heavy as the 2004 album was. However Z-Ro manages somehow to go deep on the songs of this album. Z-Ro has a real good singing voice for the hooks. The production value is a lot better. The mood of this album was mellow by Rap-A-Lot standards and by fan standards. However, Z-Ro has the tightest rhymes out of H-Town next to Lil Flip. His flow makes the album favorable and easy to listen to. The artwork is extremely superb! The highlights for the artwork really stand out.

North Side Nation - Pimpin' The Nation album review

North Side Nation was a rap group from Flint in 1994.  They had produced their own music. Kenny "K-Mill" Miller of Raw Deal was in North Side Nation.
North Side Nation is from the same hood that Freaky Live is from. North Side Nation is from Jamieson Street in Dewey Park (Dewey Hood). This album is filled with gangsta rap similar to Top Authority and acid rap similar to Mastamind.
Each track is filled with grim reality.

That Back Against The Wall track was absolutely bananas! The bass was super heavy speaker rattling bass and he beats were quite indeed quirky.Back Up Against The Wall was the best track on the Pimpin' The Nation album! This is one dope ass gangsta rap freestyle! This track is filled with grim reality. Yeah some of the beats were wack, but at least it's not Freaky Live or Took N Bone.

K-Mill and C-Dubb really showcased their real lyrical talents. That's the type of shit I'm talking about! Tales of killing, pimping, drug dealing on a daily basis, and just driving are a way of life on this track and in the city of Flint, Michigan. Back Up Against The Wall is track to listen to while your bouncin' on Dayton rims down Saginaw Street.

Life in the Ghetto is a dark themed, deep bass at the very beginning, acid rap track. Note the heavy basslin at the very beginning. K-Mill and the rest of the other members spit game to us and tell us how the ghetto really is. The realities of the ghetto are quite filled with such hardness.

North Side Nation should have dropped a second album. Yeah some of the beats were wack, but at least it's not Freaky Live or Took N Bone.

Bone & Face - On And On single review

Bone & Face are Anthony L. "Bone" Reaves (Bone of Took-N-Bone fame) and Darren Campbell (Rev. Darren Campbell). Bone & Face was a rap group from Flint, Michigan. This was released on cassette in 1998. Think of the Rap/Soul crossover genre as you are listening to this single.

On and on till the break of dawn. It don't stop and it won't stop on the On And On track. On And On is a smooth R&B/Soul slow jam. Lorrie Coleman of Jake The Flake & Stick-N-Move Records fame is singing in the background vocals on this song. She does a good job performing her singing vocals. Many old school hip hop elements are prevalent on this track. Not mention the gangsta rap elements. Both members of Bone & Face show how they can display their lyrical styles and wordplay techniques on the On And On track as they are rapping. The On And On song is the soul song of this album. On And On is the best track on this single! It is the Bone & Face anthem!

Flint City is a dark acid rap anthem for the City of Flint. Flint City is home to many corrupt crooks and thugs be getting their money on a daily basis. Almost every street, neighborhood, and schools were mentioned on the Flint City track. The bass is quite deep and dark. This is the last track on this album.

Bone & Face are dropping bombs like Vietnam on Armageddon! In fact, Bone & Face are hitting hard like Armageddon! Both members of Bone & Face show how they can display their lyrical styles and can prove that they are using superb styles of lyricism by using their wordplay techniques.

Nicole Wray - I Found You single review

The I Found You single by Nicole Wray was released on Playmaker Music and Danizha in 2011. The songs I Found You and Boomerang Effect were recorded at DDMG Studios in Manhattan (New York City).

I Found You is about how Nicole Wray found a boyfriend that suddenly came into her life with a glance. He asked Nicole about her life and if she had any plans. He took her heart away. She tells the world she's not alone and not afraid to ride. And her boyfriend will kick your ass if you make her cry. She's not afraid to smile. He took Nicole away from all the little stupid things.
This is one of those coffee shop songs and frozen yogurt place songs. It's real upbeat. However the sounds are unbalanced meaning that the guitars are playing out of the left speaker and drums out of the right speaker. But it's still a great song!

Boomerang Effect is also another one of those coffee shop songs as I Found You is. It's a longer song than I Found You. This song is about 5 minutes long. Both songs are great!!

Plinth - Plays Victorian Machine Music album review

When you listen to this classical masterpiece of an album, you will automatically think of the classical Baroque sound that is extremely prevalent in classical music of that period. The Victorian parlour music that is performed on this album is coming from the sounds of the Victorian parlour music machines to fit in with the mood and tone of this album. All of the recordings were ripped from vinyl and cassettes from the archives of Plinth's recordings from the years of 2004 to 2005. These are Plinth's own recordings.

You will enjoy the winding, piping, creaking, and wood-knocking sounds of the Victorian parlour music that is performed on this album from the sounds of the Victorian parlour music machines! You will enjoy the winding and piping that come from the chiming wood pipe organs.

Enya - Shepherd Moons album review

The lead single called Caribbean Blue avoids repeating the successful formula pattern of Orinoco Flow from the last album. Orinoco Flow is what made the last album successful as Caribbean Blue made this album called Shepherd Moons
become successful.

Carribean Blues, Book Of Days, and Lothlórien are my favorite songs off of this album. To me for some reason, Shepherd Moons sounds more depressing, sad, and darker in a dark mood type of way and musical format for the dark mood musical sub-genre.

Shepherd Moons sounds more depressing, sad, darker, and suicidal than all of Enya's other albums that have been written by her. Shepherd Moons is hermost vocally soulful album for the 1990s era.

Moist Fist album review

Mop is a song about a mixture of feelings that suck in your soul. This song later turns into a twist of a murderous murder of cold blood. The blood and mixture of emotional feelings swirl together. This whole song is just a swirl of darkness altogether. But the events are all in your head the whole time.

Siren is a song about a sexy woman who resembles the looks of the Greek mythology character named Siren. She often appears to be out at night. Someone was watching her. Someone was watching Siren.

Women of Steel is dedicated to all of the hard working women who provide for their families. Women of Steel is  dedicated to all of the hard working women who provide food and shelter by having a job that provides one an income. We should know how these women feel but we don't know how these women feel at all because society does take women for granted. Society takes women for granted. These women will never trade their for anything else in this world.

This Wind is a song about the wind. Belly Up is a negative song.

The artwork will remind you of the classic The Offspring album cover artworks from the 1980s! The artwork is very similar to the artwork of The Offspring album artwork. There are 15 tracks on thus album, yet somehow the album resembles like an EP.

Zebra - No Tellin' Lies album review

The front cover of Zebra - No Tellin' Lies will remind you of Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd which is possibly due to the black and blue starry night line with the small stars in the background. This album cover will remind you of Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd. The Zebra chess piece is in still photography. It gives a feel of surrealism to the background painting which is the whole album cover.

The chess board was marvelous idea! The theme was an intelligent intellectual idea. Not sure if the Zebra band was trying to replicate the album cover artwork of Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd or not.

Lil Zane - Young World:The Future album review

Uncle Luke and Lil Zane got the block locked down and the top down on first track called Top Down. Lil Zane's music is being played block to block. It's toe to toe, line for line, and blow for blow on for a Top Down. Lil Zane gets down! Weed smoking is also mentioned on here. Lil Zane got his top down. Lil Zane displays clever wordplay technique with his fast rhyming on the freestyle. He changes up the pace. Worldwide Entertainment got it locked down! The electronic music production is well up to date.

You Must Really Love Me reminds me of It's All About The Money by G Len and Let's Stay Together by Al Green. You Must Really Love Me is about a girl who must really love Lil Zane. It's not about Lil Zane having a load of money or sports. It's about being down with a chick. Think Love & Basketball where the chick is down with the dude the whole time. And dude doesn't know it.

On None Tonight, Lil Zane is trying to have some fun tonight with a chick up in the club but the chick won't give Lil Zane any play or any nookie. She probably won't give Lil Zane any head either. Lil Zane proves to why Lil Zane is the nigga she needs go home and bone with in order to be eligible to have sex with Lil Zane. You see Lil Zane is obviously looking for someone to sleep with when he's up in the club. None Tonight is the shit! None Tonight is my shit! You see,
None Tonight is one of those tracks to dance to when you're up in the nightclub.

What Must I do is very similar to a Keith Sweat song. Lil Zane's a player and he's not begging. He just wants attention. He craves attention. This joint is dedicated to that one girl that every player wants. Those other cats are not needed in her life. Lil Zane needs a lady in his life and she is the right one for him. Lil Zane will want to commence sexual intercourse and doesn't give a fuck whether it's dark or not. It's already hot out and his shirt, of course, comes off. Keith Sweat and 112 should have been on this particular song right here. Keith Sweat would have been appropriate for this song.

Lil Zane and his boys are hot and bothered and quite horny at that! So Lil Zane takes his boys to meet some chicks for an all night out orgy so they can all have sexual intercourse. This message is applied on Partners Come Along Too. This whole song is basically a "sexcapade" for all of Lil Zane's boys.

Lil Zane tackles problems of our world on Ways Of The World such as violence, drugs, political corruption, poverty, greed over capitalism, and living in a war zone. These are unfortunately ways of the world. This song is rather sad than upbeat as the rest of the songs on this album are. Lil Zane has obscenities hurled at his enemies. So basically Lil Zane tackles problems of our world in the best way he know how by rapping about such explicit lyrics matter for such material. Lil Zane doesn't want to sugarcoat reality, so to get his point across, he raps with such explicit lyrics doing so!

Ride On 'Em is such a futuristic track featuring some of the artists from the Worldwide Entertainment roster. The bass is quite brooding and deep. Think deep bass. I love the electronic sound on the electronic production used for this track in particular right here.

Beautiful Feelin' is about young female who Lil Zane describes biographically in a romantic way.
On Beautiful Feelin', this young female has got the attention of all the fellas, so the females are going to be jealous naturally. All the fellas wanna be down like Brandy. Of course they got no play or nookie at that. This leads this young female who Lil Zane is referring on this slow jam love track to be on the fellas bad side. A lot of times it seems like it gets hard for her to maintain her sanity and composure.

Despite the inappropriate lyrics, sexually suggestive material, and the obscenities hurled at enemies…
The main message for this album, Young World:The Future, is that it's cool to be young. That's Lil Zane's message to the kids. Be fly, cool, and stay in school. All of this album is pop rap meets spoken word with a touch of reality. Lil Zane - Young World:The Future is great to start off the year 2000 with.

The main message on this album for the kids is that it's cool to be young.
That's how Priority Records and Worldwide Entertainment promoted and packed this album in Platinum record sales for prosperity and positivity for a good learning experience despite Lil Zane being a pop rap sex symbol along with the group 112. Priority Records and Worldwide Entertainment were trying to gain a younger audience for the record sales and management.

Boogie Down Productions - Sex and Violence album review

Boogie Down Productions was declining in quality when Sex and Violence was released. Sex and Violence was really a flop in album sales altogether. Even KRS-One admitted it! Sex and Violence did not go gold as the album Edutainment did as members of Boogie Down Productions expected from the results of their last music certification sales from their album sales. Sex and Violence was filled with such negative lyrics and other vibes of negativity.

Yeah, there’s some inconsistency in their compositions on Sex and Violence, but human nature is inconsistent. Too many philosophical beefs with artists such as PM Dawn, Lench Mob, and X-Clan hindered the albums success. The audience of people were not feeling that Sex and Violence album. Sex and Violence is not even comparable to any other Boogie Down Productions albums that have been released. Sex and Violence does not even come close to holding a candle towards Edutainment and By Any Means Necessary. Those two Boogie Down Productions albums along with the Criminal Minded are the must have golden age Hip-Hop classics! Even the Ghetto Music album was better than the Sex and Violence album! Sex and Violence does not even come close to holding a candle towards any other Boogie Down Productions albums out there despite being highly acclaimed by The Source magazine.

The Jamaican influence present in Edutainment was mad ill riddim and if Sex and Violence had that Jamaican reggae influence I would have bought it. The material wasn't as politically conscience as Edutainment, By Any Means Necessary, and the Live Hardcore Worldwide album. Duck Down was a hard hitting rap in a hardcore rap element. 13 and Good was too quirky. Most of the material was filler.

The climate at the time was not good solid ground for Boogie Down Productions. The climate at the time was not good for the Sex and Violence album either. The Sex and Violence album was my least favorite Boogie Down Productions album out of all their golden age classic albums. Yes The Source said this album was highly acclaimed as stated before. Yes KRS-One is still the teacher on this album and educates the public. KRS-One disputes hypocrisy and overhyped sexuality on the Sex and Violence album as he did the last album.
