The Flaming Lips - The Terror album review
After many retail album releases, (over 30 to be exact), The Flaming Lips band releases the well-received rock album called the Terror. A look at the abstract distorted album cover artwork will automatically remind you of a Red Hot Chili Peppers album. (Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way anyone?) The artwork design is absolutely beautiful. Bubbly colored dots add in the texture theme.
Try To Explain is about loving someone when they tell you lies. You believe what they tell you. You are naive. Your head is trapped there in love walking away on the bridge to nowhere on the path of nowhere. Now try to explain that. Your Lust is yet another love song. A love song mixed with killer hard rock that is! Lust to succeed is what they say. Or what The Flaming Lips band members say.
Turning Violent is a killer hardcore killer hard rock song! A Flaming Lips song aimed at violence is to be expected since this is The Flaming Lips we are talking about. The Flaming Lips have been known to add violent themes to their lyrics in their albums over the past 30 years. Hard rock song Turning Violent is no exception.
The listening experience was totally wild! The Flaming Lips perform at their best on this album whether they be in the studio or at their concerts. The Terror album by The Flaming Lips was a highly praised well-received album in music news sources such as All Music Guide, Punk Magazine, The Observer, Austin Chronicle, and Rolling Stone.

Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits EP review
Skrillex has made a name for himself in the underground dubstep music scene as well as the underground electronic dance music scene with the Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits EP in 2012. Skrillex is also known as a well-known international producer in the music scene. The whole EP is groove filled with melodic ambience.
Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits is intense! The scary distorted sound bits and sound effects really add into the mood of this song as Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits is a hodgepodge of drill music and breakcore with heavy distortion. Loud volume is prevalent here too. The EP's title and lead single, "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites", was a commercial success both internationally and underground. Scary Monsters and Nice Spirits is a well memorable song.
Rock n' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain) is another memorable song. As Rock n' Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain) is also a hodgepodge of drill music and breakcore with heavy distortion only this time with rock music added to the mix.

The Blind Continuum - Soliloquist's Dilemma album review
The Blind Continuum is alternative hip hop and rap from Vermont.
When you listen to this short official EP by The Blind Continuum, you automatically think of alternative hip hop meets the experimental genre which is similar to electronic music. Soulful electronic music meets hip hop on this album right here. The mood is set to calm.
The beginning of Heart Not Sol begins and starts off with a calm mellow 4 note guitar instrumental. (Think guitar solo instrumental.) That covers the first twenty two seconds of the beginning track on this EP. Guitar solo succeeds into an 8 note guitar instrumental from a 4 note guitar instrumental After that, spoken word poetry is turned into rap. Spoken words are spoken in the form of rapping. The captain always goes down with the ship. We are detrimental to ourselves as human being but are too lazy and ignorant to just know it.
Flotsam is a rap spoken word track. Think freestyle rap and rap music in general. Flotsam reminds us of all the new school rap that is currently being put out today. (From year 2007 to the year 2015 and on that is.) It's ok for some rap to be soft. Right?
Splint is the last track on the Soliloquist's Dilemma EP. Splint is verst similar to how Eminem, Twista, Big Sean, or Tech N9ne rap. The track Splint is intertwined with such deep thought.
While the album was too short for a subtle listening experience as Vallejo, Quills, or Permanent Ability. The EP was worth the listen. Many of the compositional songs on this very EP were very short. Soliloquist's Dilemma EP paves way as a demo for The Blind Continuum band for much deserved success.

Lil Breazy - Checkmate album review
This album was released on Iced Down Records, Isolated Records, and Select-O-Hits in 2002. This album is off the hook! Lil Breazy is from Austin, Texas! Bad Guy, Check Yourself, and Everybody's Ballin' are the singles!
Let Me Look At You is fast uptempo soul rap song featuring Big Grind and Ajax of Sam Huston Boyz (Sam Houston Boyz). Staying paid is the only thing on Lil Breazy’s agenda. He’s click-clackin’ and stackin’ up money into his account. Lil Breazy only represents the real. On this track, Lil Breazy separates the real from the fake.
Everybody's Ballin' is the hit single for this album! This is one of those party on the boat dock at the top of the boat jams. This jam will make you want to get up and dance! This is the bomb!! A rockin’ Stapleton Sisters sample is used. This song had house parties in Austin rockin' out back in 2002! Everybody's Ballin' had everyone partyin’ back in 2002. If you were educated and informed about the social scene and party scene here in Austin, Texas, you’d know about this song.
Mash 4 Skrilla is a very Lone Star Texan song. The country guitar on the high note gives out that Texas Country feel. Lil Breezy tells us on the brooding chorus lines that he’s not going to die being broke. Rap game or dope game he’s in it to win it. Lil Breazy’s a certified track kills. He kills on every track of his sophomore album.
Time 2 Shine showcases both Lil Breazy and ICE's lyrical talent. You’ll love the vocoder used on Time 2 Shine. This song was so cold. Both artists had the game on freeze. ICE was on ATV Recordz, Isolated Records, Madd Creole Entertainment, and Iced Down Records. She was from Austin, Texas.
Whoever told you G-Funk and Gangsta Rap was dead, they're wrong! It just moved to the South. Listen to You Know How We Do It featuring Big Pokey from Wreckshop Records outta Houston, Texas! This is like a From Austin to Houston collaboration. It has that old 90s G-Funk sound. The Ice Cube sample is super dope! G-Funk and Ice Cube are a great combination.
Ain’t shit changed on Ain’t Shit Changed. Southside still holding grain as Big Moe, ESG, and Lil Breazy put it. ESG comes off real with his realist rhymin’ on Ain’t Shit Changed. Big Moe does his soulful singing and chorus lines on the hooks as he usually did. Big Moe speaks upon how to hold grain and game while ESG speaks upon how to hold game.
Ain’t Shit Changed is mostly about how shit hasn’t changed in the South. Everything’s still the same. ESG and Big Moe are a great combination.
Bad Guy and Check Youself have that Scarface movie feel with that heavy bass and heavy drums. So does Don't Fuck With Me which features Lil Flip and has a Scarface movie sample. Just a Player is a slow downtempo dreamy soul song featuring Big Chop and Cin-A-Mon of ATV Recordz.
You should buy this album if you already haven't!! It's that good! It's too bad that Lil Breazy's career never took off. Austin Hip Hop/Rap always gets overlooked!

Peter Luke - The Adventurous World of Peter Luke album review
If you like Bob Dylan, you’ll like Peter Luke! This contemporary folk album is filled with cynical tongue-in-cheek humor and satirical lyrics. All these folk-inspired melodies make Peter Luke sound like nobody else in London’s acoustic circuit for the past few years. Most of these compositional songs are filled with humor and satire. The Adventurous World of Peter Luke album is something fresh and unconventional.
Influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan and Randy Newman, Peter Luke gives us a fresh new perspective for modern times on this album. Peter Luke is continuing the folk tradition while also adding something new to it with these funny sing-along lyrics and friendly melodies. Topics do get political too. Peter Luke is a great storyteller! Each song paints a vivid picture with every spoken sentence line. His lyrics tell unique stories on life's ups and downs on this album.

DJ Clay & The BRP - We Can Do This! album review
The “We Can Do This!” album was released as a compilation album on Boomin’ Records Inc. in 1992 from Flint, Michigan. DJ Clay served as the executive producer for this compilation album. The BRP is The Boomin’ Records Posse. Which is DJ Clay, C-Lo D (Carlito 810), T-Smoove, MC Mc, and Chris Miller along with others as well. T-Smoove provides us some solo tracks as well.
We Can Do This! is the title track and posse cut of this compilation album right here. It features DJ Clay, C-Lo D (Carlito 810), and T-Smoove, along with others as well. DJ Clay and T-Smoove produced the track We Can Do This!.
Move Yo Butt! was a local dance rap track was recorded by local Flint rap artist MC Mc and DJ Clay. This song was released on as a vinyl single in 1991 which was the first release from Boomin’ Records. This track right here got play in local underground clubs and in the music scene. The responses were becoming lukewarm though.
Black Male is still a relevant track in today's society especially with all the protesters in Ferguson over the Ferguson shooting and the recent Eric Garner killing by NYPD after the police officers put him in a chokehold. Black men do have it hard here when dealing with police encounters here in the United States. Police encounters can often turn out to be very dangerous and very deadly because if you attempt to reach for you pocket to show proof of identification, they will automatically shoot and kill you. The police encounters are very deadly often these days.
Somethin Funky is a funk dope track for you to listen to. DJ Clay and C-Lo D drop something funky to listen to. Whether you in your ride or at the club. Drop The Microphone should have been a single with Somethin Funky. Another Jack Move is a gangsta rap track filled with old school flava. Another Jack Move was recorded by C-Lo in the year of 1992. How It Should Be Done is another posse cut with DJ Clay, C-Lo D (Carlito 810), T-Smoove, and the others as well.
Cuts such as Black Male, Something’ Funky, Another Jack Move, and Drop The Microphone were tracks that later appeared on the Ruff-N-Rugged album Swing Sump’n Ruff in 1994.
[Ruff-N-Rugged was the most overlooked Flint hip-hop group ever despite being the fourth rap group out of Flint to get national mention on TV channels such as MTV, Fox, ETV, and The BOX. Ruff-N-Rugged was C-Lo and DJ Clay.]

Saafir - Just Riden’ single review
Saafir - Just Riden’ was released on Qwest Records/Reprise Records in 1994.
Just Riden’ by Saafir is not your typical West Coast G-Funk rap record. It is more of an East Coast hip hop old school flava blend. Just Riden’ has more of an East Coast feel than a West Coast feel. Not that many synthesizers and guitars are used or present. After all Saafir is all about that freestyle rap meets old school hip hop mixed in with lyricism. Saafir, Quincy Jones, J-Groove, Jay-Z, and Sleuth all lent out a hand towards production skills, mixing, and mastering for this particular single.
Just Riden’ by Saafir is not your typical West Coast G-Funk rap track. Just Riden’ sounds similar to one of those songs that you cruise to in your beach cruiser or lowrider. However Just Riden’ by Saafir is more East Coast sounding than the West Coast sound that was burgeoning at the time during the middle of the 1990s across the United States and Canada. Just Riden’ was chosen as a select single by Saafir himself. The musical melody and lyrical flow of the Just Riden’ track is just smoothly laid out with production skills by Saafir, Quincy Jones, and Jay-Z.
The pultruding bass notes hit off on the deep darkened end of the musical note tuning right at the very beginning of Pull Ya Card. Pull Ya Card has that deep dark grimey rap meets old school hip hop blended with battle rap freestyle lyricism similar to Onyx, GP Wu, Necro, Raekwon, Vakill, and Ill Bill. Not mention Pull Ya Card has a brooding dark gangsta rap feel throughout the track. Pull Ya Card is a non-album track that did not appear on Boxcar Sessions.
Hype Shit is a fast paced 87 BPM to 107 BPM jazz rap song filled onto raspy jazz fusion with heavy musical note pounding bass guitars added in the bridge and background. Saafir is kickin’ up hype shit on Hype Shit. Hype Shit is a non-album track that did not appear on Boxcar Sessions.
The two non-album tracks that didn’t appear on Boxcar Sessions were Pull Ya Card and Hype Shit. Saafir was underrated and overlooked during his music career on Quincy Jones’ Qwest Records label from 1992 to 2001.

Street Dogs - Rust Belt Nation single review
Looking for something similar to the classic hard rock sounds of the 60s and 70s? Well Rust Belt Nation by Street Dogs is the right vinyl single/EP for you! Street Dogs have that similar classic hard rock edge you’ve been craving for in your lifetime that’s similar to Grand Funk Railroad. Rust Belt Nation retains that gritty hardened sound quite similar to garage rock and psychedelic music from the 60s.
Rust Belt Nation explains to the public and longtime hardcore Street Dogs fans that the United States has become a ‘rust belt nation’ that no longer holds a concrete tangible American manufacturing identity. The theories of trickle down economics have not worked so far as results show. Neither has the outsourcing of American jobs. The American middle class has been undoubtedly dubbed ‘the working poor’. This has been proven by many news organizations and books.
Certain Fate sounds very similar to a Led Zeppelin song. A song Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Jefferson Starship, Creed, or Grand Funk Railroad would write. Think Led Zeppelin or Van Halen when you listen to the song Certain Fate. Certain Fate sounds heartily as a love song.

DJ Snake & DJ AK - Till Bass Do Us Part album review
Till Bass Do Us Part was released on Youngsta Records from San Antonio, Texas in 1994 on cassette, CD, and vinyl. DJ Snake is from Dallas, Texas and DJ AK is from San Antonio, Texas (now Houston).
Till Bass Do Us Part is a hodgepodge of samples over scratching along with breakbeats with an ensemble drums and bass on beats. Most of the drum programming, beats, and percussion was done by DJ Snake. DJ AK did most of the cuts and scratches. The bass is blasted heavy throughout the entirety of the album. Samples used on the album range in sub-genres and genres from old school hip hop, gangsta rap, Electronic music, Miami bass, Dallas bass, Screw music, West Coast rap, East Coast rap, rock, and dance music.
DJ Snake and DJ AK both showcase their legendary DJing skills on this album!
First off is Moments in Bass which is sampled from Moments in Love by Art of Noise which is a 5 minutes long instrumental track. Moments in Bass is super low bass and heavy hitting high percussion. The beats were programmed by DJ Snake. A genius idea was to turn Moments in Love into Moments in Bass. Who else besides, DJ Snake and DJ AK, would have thought of that?
Buggin’ Bass starts off with an insect in the bass speakers. The main idea is bass on Buggin’ Bass. Low heavy bass is prevalent throughout the 5 minutes of this track. Buggin’ Bass is sampled from 3rd Bass - Step to the AM and Nemesis - Oak Cliff (1986 version and not the widely known 1989 version.)
Drop The Bass was a Nemesis track was on the 1989 version of the To Hell and Back album released on Profile Records from New York City. Drop The Bass is a classic Nemesis track! Only this track is an extended version of that track. The track Drop The Bass is the highlight track for Till Bass Do Us Part.
Too Damn Low is a 3 and a half minute long track of low bass. Super heavy low bass with repeated sound samples in ensemble.
Just A Beat (Stomp Action) samples Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon and N.W.A. - On Tha Set. The beginning starts off with the legendary Pink Floyd - Dark Side of The Moon rock sample which is a classic! Breakbeats and programmed drum beats just continue on from there. Vocal samples are added into the mix too.
Snake’s Last Remix is a 7 minute long instrumental track filled with low heavy bass and a repeated sample on percussion.
The beats are ok. However this is not DJ Snake’s best work though. His best work is with Nemesis, P.K.O., Too Short, DJ AK, K-Sam, Nino, Royal Flush, Ron C, Quint Black, and Chyna Whyte along with many more.

E-40 - My Ghetto Report Card album review
Now it seems that E-40 has went the corporate when he first signed to Jive Records, but E-40 still remains true to his Bay Area hyphy roots by adding D-Shot, Mistah FAB, and Little Bruce on this album along with crunk rap music artist Lil Jon from Atlanta. E-40 just keeps getting better and better as he keeps dropping albums over the years.
E-40 still remains true to his Bay Area hyphy roots by keeping that hyphy rap sound prevalent in production sounds. Listen closely and you can tell. The hyphy sounds of this album are very similar to the hyphy movement of the middle 2000s era. Release for My Ghetto Report Card album was at the right time because it was during the uprising popularity of the hyphy movement with Mistah FAB, Lil B, The Pack, Mac Dre, J-Diggs, and many more. But this time, E-40 adds the sub-genre of crunk music from Atlanta.
Yay Area is very similar to the Bay Area only the Yay Area is more hyphy. Yay Area is about the transactions sales, consumption, and usage of yayo which is cocaine in the Bay Area of California. One of the many drug references mentioned in this track is crack cocaine. This was E-40’s most popular song of 2006. Hence the title of the rap track.
Yay Area is one hyphy ass song!
They Might Be Taping is about what the laws can get away with now that the facist neo-Nazi Patriot Act is in place. Feds are on every corner. They’ve tapped your phone. They’re waiting for you to commit a crime and slip. That way police can bust your ass on the spot so the judge can incarcerate you. After the trial, the judge will have handed out an extra long extended lengthy prison sentence to a correctional facility.
Gimme Head is all about that sexual intercourse. Of course E-40 wants the chick to give him some brain along with various other acts thereof sexual intercourse of course.

Mac Dre - Stupid Doo Doo Dumb album review
Mac Dre began embracing the party lifestyle and strayed away from the gangsta rap sounds of the 90s while he focused more on the hyphy sound for this album. Mac Dre has distanced himself away from gangsta rap and focused more on the creation of the beginning stage for hyphy rap for the album Stupid Doo Doo Dumb. The album Stupid Doo Doo Dumb served as the beginning of the hyphy movement and hyphy rap.
The title track Stupid Doo Doo Dumb is about getting high with the usage of hyphy drugs hence the title of this track. All the bitches want to ride on Mac Dre’s dick because they know he’s young, rich, and has the bud. One just wants to ride his dick. So this makes her a slut if all she is after is just sexual activity. Mac Dre won’t pay attention to her or give her no mind. Mac Dre is lecherous to the extent of having no qualms as Mac Dre is just only interested in oral sex.
Crest Creepers is about the gangstas of Crestview Neighborhood. The Crest Neighborhood is where the playas play and gangstas roam. Everyone’s on a late night creep. Whether it be at the movies, the club, at someones house, or elsewhere. All the fun place.
Surprisingly, Stupid Doo Doo Dumb has sold over 500,000 units thus going Gold in the United States while unsurprisingly all his other albums in his wide array of discography have not surpassed Gold status. Obviously Mac Dre can’t get love anywhere else besides the West Coast, Midwest, South, Alberta, Toronto, Vancouver, and Hawaii. Stupid Doo Doo Dumb was released in 1998 after he got out of prison. (He was “about that life” as he explained on the Back in the Hood EP from 1992.) Stupid Doo Doo Dumb is one of his most popular albums to date.So maybe that album release served and sparked his return to the music scene and for the album sales of this album. We may never know. But with that said, you can’t go wrong when listening to this album!

Jean Grae - Goin’ Crazy single review
Jean Grae is the hardest most versatile female rap vocalist in the music industry. The music industry is afraid of Jean Grae. That’s why she doesn’t have a major record deal. Also Jean Grae is the rawest female rapper next to the Lady of Rage, Heather B., Remy Ma, Lil Kim, Choice, Antoinette, and Rah Digga just to name a few even though there’s more female rappers out there. Her vocals are very raspy. Most of raps are indeed lyrical.
Going Crazy is about what goes on at night that makes Jean Grae go crazy. Jean Grae is walking down an alley at night appearing to be paranoid. Heart is beating fast. It gets colder by the moment. Jean Grae can’t function no more. She’s hearing voices provoking her to fight. It gets hectic. She won’t answer the door because she’s scared.
Going Crazy has that mid 2000s East Coast Hip Hop/Rap sound similar to Rah Digga and Lil Kim. Mostly is lyricism and street rap that being used in this song. Not so much sex rap as similar to Lil Kim however.
Jean Grae is Grae back on the track You Don't Want It! Welcome to the mind of Jean Grae.
You Don't Want It is a hard versatile freestyle by Jean Grae. A very East Coast rap freestyle laced with heavy lyricism.
Jean Grae is a maestro in her freestyles such as You Don't Want It and Going Crazy as well as others in her career.

L-Dog - Street Therapy album review
This album was released on CD by Do-Moe Records in 2007. L-Dog returns to us with a new album called Street Therapy. Street Therapy was a blazing hot album through the underground streets of San Antonio although it was extremely underground, not well known, and highly overlooked. DONRON210 and L-Dog do handle most of the production.
Street Therapy is gritty grimy ghetto hardcore Down South that the rap game has been missing in! Street Therapy is about street knowledge. You gotta be streetwise while living on these streets. Haters will be still dissing you and dragging your name through the mud in these streets. People are shady in the streets. You’ve got haters, killers, and the police to watch out for.
Diamonds On Ya Neck is all about tat bling bling and materialism. Diamonds on ya neck make you feel like a boss, huh? It gleams on your ride. Even trying to make it out the ghetto. It seems as if L-Dog is copying the verbal tics of Juvenile’s huh and “ha!”.
L-Dog be dogging the women to the track She’s Been Hurt. She’s Been Hurt is a raunchy sex rap track will low keynote bass. Look There goes Nikki. Nikki be acting tricky. Nikki be acting freaky and sexy due to her high libido. Nikki be twerkin’ too.
I Still is about the return of L-Dog. L-Dog returns to us with a new hot track called I Still. L-Dog still loves the hustle but he still hates to struggle. He still loves to fuck. L-Dog still be on a mission while them haters still are dissing. His dope be on the mic and not in the stove but in the kitchen. Get up out ya’ll seat while I’ll make ya do what it do. L-Dog compares himself to the likes and similarities of Tupac and Biggie.
Quit That is a hardcore gangsta rap track. Quit That is a diss to all the fake ass gangstas whom are frauds and phony.; for example studio gangstas such as Lil Wayne and Young Thug. Not Tupac or Biggie though. L-Dog still be on a mission while them haters still dissing.
What You Gon’ Do is where it gets real intense real quick! The beats are very futuristics and robotics sounding very similar to techno over Dirty South rap. The beats are bananas! What You Gon’ Do when the game test you? Im’ma do moe. Nigga what about you?
The police kicked in the door. They made everybody lay down on the floor. Plus police cut off your water supply so you can’t use the toilet to flush contraband such as narcotics and ammunition. What the fuck do you do when you’re dealing with police? Police yell out “Freeze!” Get down on your knees!” There’s too much contraband to get rid of. The police are counting all your money from being a narcotics distributor. First thought in your head is “Who’s been snitching to the feds?”
This Is How It Sound (The Struggle) is the next song I am going to review. This Is How It Sound (The Struggle) mainly is all about the struggle.
This is what is sounds like when L-Dog is trying to cope. This is what is sounds like when L-Dog gone off that dope. Lord knows he’s tried. He’s watched homies from drive by shooting on the block. L-Dogs feels as he is the sickest nigga on the planet Earth and everyday is a struggle damn it. Others don’t understand. He ain’t got shit to give. So don’t ask him. Good days done passed him. Lord knows he’s tried suicide. He’s seen a vision last night in his sleep that gave him the creeps. He was murdered in his damn jeep. His main enemy is the blood of his own son. That’s fucked up! Ain’t it? But I know that it’s real.
While the quantity for number of copies pressed for this album were extremely limited, L-Dog gave the people what they were waiting for. Dirty south rap over tight robotic techno beats about hard times and being down for the struggle. He made you ya’ll get up out ya’ll seat while he made ya do what it do. His dope be on the mic and in the store. Not in the kitchen. There are not many rappers that can rap about being down for the struggle that have tight beats and lyrics that don’t automatically suck these days.

L-Dog - Caution album review
This album was released on CD by Do-Moe Records in 2008. L-Dog returns to us with a new album called Caution. Caution was extremely underground, not well known, and highly overlooked as all the other albums in L-Dog’s discography was. DONRON210 and L-Dog do handle most of the production. L-Dog takes credit for everything else.
L-Dog tells us to take caution on Caution. Take no heed. L-Dog is back with another hot album for the streets for the pimps, playas, and hustlers. He tells bitches, haters, and motherfuckers to take caution when they are approaching him in life. L-Dog still be on a mission while them haters still dissing. Caution is very dark, ghetto, and grimey as Street Therapy was. Caution is a cautionary tales of the streets and what dangers lurk around on the streets.
Street Therapy Revisited is the successor track to Street Therapy from the album Street Therapy.
You’ve got haters, killers, and police to watch out for.
L-Dog gets his hustle on Hustle. I Still is about the return of L-Dog. L-Dog returns to us with a new hot track called I Still. L-Dog still loves the hustle but he still hates to struggle so he still be on a mission while them haters still are dissing because he’s so dope. Too dope for the radio!
Caution is very dark, ghetto, and grimey as Street Therapy was. Caution has the same themes and elements that the Street Therapy did in 2007. He tells bitches, haters, and motherfuckers to take caution and take no heed while you are listening to this album. L-Dog compares himself to the likes of Tupac and Biggie.
While the quantity for number of copies pressed for this album were extremely limited, L-Dog gave the people what they were waiting for. Playa G - Pimp Shit! album review
Playa G spits game on Pimp Shit! on East Wood Recordings all the way from Nashville, Tennessee, US. Playa G is known for his playalistic sex rap.
This pimp shit right here is G music! Pure uncut adulterated G-Funk music with X-Rated material and music for the adults. Themes of sex, prostitution, relationships, criminal activity, and some drugs are prevalent on this album. Mostly the remainder of this album is about sex, prostitution, and love.
That's why the album is called Pimp Shit!
If you listen to this particular Playa G album, you will automatically think of Too Short, Pooh Man, Roxanne Shanté, Choice, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, Redd Foxx, Richard Pryor, Rated X, and Kesha. The playalistic album Pimp Shit is everything sex rap should be. Whole album of Pimp Shit is playalistic and pimpin'! You can listen to the album from start to finish without skipping any tracks. No filler material. Just pure adult rated funk. Pimp Shit is surely a Nashville rap classic in it's own right. That's why the album is called Pimp Shit!

Lil Maniyak - Don't Test album review
If you are looking for that grimey underground crunk music sound from Memphis similar to Tommy Wright III, Al Kapone, Project Pat, Lil Corb, 3 6 Mafia, DJ Zirk, Kami Kaze Klan, and La Chat, then this album is for you. Lil Maniyak is very similar to Lil Ramsey, Lil Slim, Orange Mound Playaz, Al Kapone, and DJ Zirk. If you are an avid collector of Memphis rap, buy this album!
This cassette is filled rawness and griminess. Think raw raps from the underground. The musical production sound and sound quality of this particular album is very similar to the acid rap and ghetto tech coming out of Detroit.
[There is a huge difference between the crunk music from Memphis and Atlanta. The crunk music coming from Atlanta is geared more towards the club scene and mainstream radio while the crunk music coming from Memphis is more grimey for the underground rap scene. Crunk music from Memphis was not originally geared for the mainstream radio in the music industry. That is my experience with crunk music.]

Jayo Felony - Livin' Foe Dem Thangz single review
Livin' Foe Dem Thangz is about living for those material things in life as well as gangbanging. This was a diss towards Big June. Jayo Felony made a bunch of references to the Rollin' 40s Crip gang on this track. The beat is off the hook.
Pissin' On Your Tombstone is the next song. On Pissin' On Your Tombstone, Jayo Felony had dissed Big June, Repo Ric, Lil Felony, Dago's Most Hated, Skanless Joe, Big Mike, Lil Fatal, and the rest of Repo Records crew. The reason why Jayo Felony dissed Big June was that both them were from rival gangs and rival sets. Jayo Felony was from the Rollin' 40s Crip gang and Big June was from Skyline Piru gang (Bloods). Jayo Felony makes references to Gangsta Nation Crew.
I'ma Keep Bangin' is also yet again about gangbanging and reppin' Gangsta Nation Crew. Jayo Felony makes references to Gangsta Nation Crew. The sample is Horns of Brixton by The Clash. If Jayo Felony had added all three songs from this single to the Take A Ride album in 1994, then the album would have taken off more.
[This single was released on cassette from Loco Entertainment in 1993 and also on vinyl from JMJ Records, Def Jam, and RAL.]

LBK Mafia - I'm Just A Playa single review
I'm Just A Playa is the first song on the A side of the cassette. The beginning starts off with a chica speaking Spanish with heavy impounding bass notes that are seeming to be computerized. The male single will remind you of Big Moe's soulful voice from back when he was around in the 2000s. The beats are quite progressive and are well polished in production.
Notorious Goodfellas is featured on the track of the same name called Notorious Goodfellas on the B side of the cassette. It's quite ironic that Notorious Goodfellas is featured on a title track of the same name! Oh the irony! C-Balla is on this song too.
Mix Electronic, Latin, Soul, Rap, Techno, and Hip Hop music all together and you have the result of LBK. Notorious Goodfellas is the featured rap group on this cassette.
[LBK Mafia is Lubbock Mafia from Lubbock, Texas near the Panhandle of Oklahoma. I'm Just A Playa is a demo cassette by LBK that recorded in 1998 and released in 2000. This was recorded at the Audio Sweat Shop in Lubbock, Texas, US.]

Malik-Bo - 619 album review
Hot in the City explains to us why Malik-Bo is the hottest thing in San Diego rap. Despite making underground moves and not gaining national exposure. During the mid 90s, Malik-Bo was the hottest artist touching the San Diego rap game from the underground to the streets along with Big June, Orko, Black Mikey, Jayo Felony, and Nuttz.
Status is about Malik-Bo's status in the rap game in San Diego. In there words, it's about Malik-Bo's status as an OG. Malik-Bo knows how to keep it real. Tha Ultimate sounds like a bomb freestyle track. Malik-Bo shows us how he's a player on I'ma Player. So is Bombbu I believe. Either way, I could be wrong. I Like will remind you of a smooth sex song.
619 is about the daily life in the wicked ass Southeast streets of San Diego. 619 is also a dedication track to all the homies in Southeast and a dedication to the city of San Diego.
