Born Soul - Tunnel Vision album review
Tunnel Vision was released by Aristitrax Records and Born Soul Productions in 2002 on CD. K-Smoove goes solo on this one with production. (With the exception of help from Harold Green.) Tunnel Vision is a Soul and Rap album.
Tunnel Vision is a visionary track by Born Soul. Born Soul himself is a visionary when it comes to creating music. He is ahead of his time in a lot of ways. Born Soul mixes soul and rap elements on Tunnel Vision.
I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is reprise from the Brotha From The South track off of Born Soul’s debut album From The Beginning To The End in 1998. I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is basically Brotha From The South revisited. I Am Him (Brotha From The South) is southern rap, spoken words, a cappella, lyricism, and rap all in one. Brotha From The South was too short of a song for me and it should have been longer.
Groupie Alert is to all the fans of Born Soul and any other musicians that have the symptoms of being a groupie. The fans that are on the groupie tip. Henceforth the title.
Internet Luva is an ode to Zapp - Computer Luv. Internet Luva is dedicated to the women online that are looking for a date and just went to flirt with men online through the internet. The track Internet Luva really pays tribute to Zapp - Computer Luv.
Gone Bad is not that good of a track. The production quality is not that tolerable and the lyrics are just lackluster in songwriting.

G. La Beaud - On The G album review
G. La Beaud from New Orleans, Louisiana unleashes that zydeco gumbo sound on that R&B/soul sound for On The G album. As the On The G album is something to listen to when you’re on the go. On The G is full of soulful seductiveness. On The G is laid back and easy to listen to. G. La Beaud seems to have been influenced by R. Kelly when he was recording this album. Bill Bad Ward plays all the instruments. G. La Beaud plays the acoustic guitar and sings.
So Lovely is a feel-good jam perfect for the summer season. The So Lovely single is a soulful passionate love ballad. So Lovely is nothing but positive.
The song On The G is full of soulful seductiveness and positive moods. On The G is laid back and easy to listen to.
On The G is something to listen to when you’re on the go. Henceforth the title.

Nevermore - Nevermore EP review
This Nevermore EP was released on cassette only Black Sun Records from Oakland, California in 1992. This EP was an underground demo pressed up in a limited amount of quantities.
No this is not the same thrash metal/grindcore rock band of the same name from Seattle, Washington. This Nevermore is an entirely different band just to clarify things. Nevermore is from San Fransisco, California that got started as a band in 1990. The band members are Hellen, Rip Reed, Heidi Vincent, and Chris Yaryan. Hellen does the vocals, Rip Reed plays the guitars, Heidi Vincent performs bass, and Chris Yaryan performs percussion. Nevermore is heavy metal meets underground rock in a darker mood.
Wave is a smooth melody rock song that is quite mellow than one would expect from a hard rock looking EP. The person singing angelic harmonious vocals is none other than Hellen. Although her vocals have that heavy metal feel meets underground glam rock.
The auto-wah effect on Stick Figure is super stellar for debut effort on EP. The person singing angelic harmonious vocals is none other than Hellen. Hellen sings her heart away for all three tracks on this EP.
The melody gets harder on Beauty & The Beast. The guitar is sounding more glam rock meets metal.
Think of Nevermore as of heavy metal meets underground rock in a darker mood when you listen to their music.

Crazy Woman stands out on its own as being a hard driving love song full of emotion and smooth singing. Crazy Woman was cowritten by him and Rob Saunders. Crazy Woman is ska meets reggae dancehall. Perfect music to dance to. Dance music.

Damion The Demon Seed - Damion The Demon Seed album review
The Damion The Demon Seed album was released on cassette only in the Saginaw, Michigan area in 1993. You couldn’t find this cassette anywhere else outside of Saginaw. Damion The Demon Seed had a couple of albums that were released on cassettes in the Saginaw Valley area at that time. His name was buzzing around the underground music scene alone Dirty Jerk, Mack Tha Jacka, Bone Skanless, Madame Dane, Dangerous D, and Daddy Madd. Damion The Demon Seed was inspired by Stephen King when writing some of his tracks for the Damion The Demon Seed album which is why the album has that mystery genre feel to it.
(Damion The Demon Seed is often referred to as Damion The Demon Seed or Damon The Demon Seed.)
(Damion The Demon Seed {Damion Brown} was a rapper, producer, and graphics design artist from Saginaw, Michigan. Damon describes himself as an evil person.)
The Intro starts of with a nearly two minute long sample from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film. Damion commits his first murder at 12:00 AM straight with a chainsaw. A female’s voice can be heard screaming during the intense massacre. It just gets worse from there.
Damion The Demon Seed is the title track which is pretty self-explanatory. Damion The Demon Seed describes himself as an evil person here. He is struck by difficult decisions. The harmonious angelic chorus is warped and treble is terribly low. Sound quality is disheartened. The acid rap element seems to be prevalent with Damion The Demon Seed.
Damion speaks words of the wicked from the wickedest. He looks in the mirror but is unable to see who’s kicking it. The bodies be hanging, man. Eyeballs are dangling. Damion is having thoughts of strangulation. If Damion strangles you, he’ll tell your family first. So prepare for your death. Death is Damion’s specialty. Damion is ripping out people’s spines from Saginaw to Connecticut. Damion is so fucking wicked he scares his own shadow.
Damion pleads insanity on Damion The Demon Seed. He admits he’s guilty. The harmonious angelic chorus chants his name. Also his rap name is chanted in the chorus. Damion apparently needs the bible.
Apparently Damion is walking the paths of death. He’s loosing his breath. He stole so many souls there’s nothing but zombies left. As Tha Jack would. Apparently Damion is the devil. He speaks so much deep shit. I know. The organ is being played in the church chapel. Damion stabs his next victim. Damion took money from victim. Now police are looking for Damion. No witness will tell the story. Damion is hellhound. You and I know he’s out of his mind. He needs a new one. Now Damion will burn a couple of candles and mix the spell. His mind is deeper than the fiery pits of hell.
[A demon seed is the spawn of the devil. A demon seed is the spawn of all evil. The child of a demon is known as a demon. Latin term for 'demon seed' is 'seedus demonus'. Think of a child that's conceived through unwanted intercourse resulting in an unplanned pregnancy. An unwanted child rather to be exact.]
Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa takes us behind the perspective of a serial killer that kills random people just for no particular reason. The serial killer is obviously mentally unstable with an unsound mind. The whole track seriously has a killer effect.
Damion The Demon Seed was inspired by Stephen King when he wrote the Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa. He was inspired exactly by Stephen King’s IT book at the time of writing this particular track. Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa has that mystery genre feel.
Damion The Demon Seed mixes the art of storytelling with gangsta rap, horrorcore, and acid rap on Lookin’ Thru bey having that foreboding horrorcore rap sound along with that gloomy gangsta rap sound. Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa definitely has that gloomy dark sound. You can hear the deep dark monotonous chorus registering on the low notes. with the heavy bass in the background laced behind some G-Funk sounds as the track Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa starts. The background music is heavily distorted and the dark mood is present. The electronically processed beats are fast paced.
You can hear the deep dark monotonous chorus with the heavy bass in the background laced behind some G-Funk sounds on the track Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa. Damion has seem to have taken a likening influence of Esham’s acid rap sound as Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa has that dark horrorcore sound similar Brotha Lynch Hung’s Ripgut Cannablism rap. Many references to murder, criminal mischief, and cannablism are made throughout the track.
You can hear the deep dark monotonous chorus with the heavy bass in the background laced tightly behind some G-Funk sounds as the track Lookin’ Thru The Eyes Of A Killa starts. Most of the sound quality is distorted however. The intro’s volume starts off very loudly.
Through the eyes of a killer all Damion sees is another dead person. He left his victim on the curb bleeding. He’ll leave the scene. An old lady with a purse full of loot is his next victim. She gave him the money but hey, he shot her anyway. There was a witness in sight. There was a witness who wanted to run but Damion obviously isn’t going to let this person get away. He thaws off the bones of the witness and preserves the meat of course. Damion will drink him a 40 oz. for every dead body he finds. In his mind, Damion brews a plan to cook more victims.
Who could do something like this? But it’s the same motherfucker who wrote about it. Damion warns all those who didn’t know about it. Damion The Demon Seed massacred your homies and wrote a story about the murders.
Damion went crazy last Friday. He tied a female down to the back of a truck rode down the highway. He forgot she was back there and fucked around and backed up. But now she looks like a golden brown pancake scratched up. Slanging decomposed bodies starves his mind. So he stopped at the store and got his wine. Stephen King has competition. He’ll deal with you through the eyes of a killer.
The disheartening distorted chorus begins chanting “Kill ‘em, Dame! Kill ‘em, Dame! Kill ‘em!”. The chorus has no remorse. It only gets worse.
Through the eyes of a killer Damion sees someone shot at close range leftover with no brains. But it’s no thing to Damion. Next on his agenda is a good looking hot female. He wants some flesh that’s good, juicy, and tender. Damion remembers from November or December. He through her legs on the grill. He ate her ribs.
Now onto the next chapter of Damion’s agenda! He’s busting out in laughter and doesn’t know what or who he’s after! Damion took a brick and cracked somebody’s dome. He put that person with the steaks and turned on the grill. He turned it on. He looked around the yard. There was a witness. Now Damion throws a brick through an old man’s window. The man was scared and died of a heart attack. But Damion got started, jack.
Damion The Demon Seed had a dream that he killed the damn president. But they didn’t catch Damion The Demon Seed because there was no evidence. He then rapes someone next who has AIDs. Damion went to school and stuck the teacher with a pencil. He rammed the pencil in her temple. He didn’t mean it though. He was just playing, man. Everyone screamed and ran. Eventually Damion is thrown in jail permanently for his actions. Damion will see his next victim through the eyes of a killer.
The disheartening distorted chorus begins chanting “Kill ‘em, Dame! Kill ‘em, Dame! Kill ‘em!” again. It only gets worse now.
Damion won’t believe any witnesses because they will turn in state evidence for a couple hundred dollars. You all are lucky to be alive though. The 1990s were all about survival. Damion is insane. Damion drives people to the edge of insanity. Through the eyes of a killer it only gets worse. Damion is now a wanted man. Chances of a fair trial are at 0%. It ain’t worse than the hell Damion’s written! So why should anyone run? Heaven’s too far on the other side for him to go. Besides his homies in hell he’d hate to see himself go.
Damion has a flashback where stole an uzi and shot at everybody in sight. He couldn’t help it due to the feeling. Damion will see his next victim through the eyes of a killer. It only gets worse now.
Dear Momma was a track Damion The Demon Seed wrote for his mother Brenda Doxie. He tells her for all the drama he’s surely caused. Damion wants to tell his mother he loves her but he doesn’t know how. Dear Momma is surely a heartfelt track. Damion shows us that he’s learned his lessons from the trials and tribulations of his life through trial and error. He knows he’s smart but he doesn’t apply himself in school.
[The legend of this track is when Tupac came to Flint with MC Breed in 1993, he bought the master copy off of Damion and then released his own song "Dear Mama" which of course became a national hit. Tupac didn't give Damion credit for the song. If you listen to the lyrics of the song they are very similar in style and sound. MC Breed had connections with U Be U Studios in Saginaw and that is how Tupac met Damion and the Skanless Family. Tupac had connections to the Michigan music scene as well.]
Skanless Family Outro is a 9 minute Skanless Family posse cut with Damion The Demon Seed, Dirty Jerk, Bone Skanless, and Mack Tha Jacka. The background music is heavily distorted and the dark mood is present. The electronically processed beats are fast paced. Most of the tracks sound quality is distorted, however.
Damion The Demon Seed and Dirty Jerk are first off to bat. Smell the smoke from the hell Damion brings to you. It chokes the angels with the harps as they sing to you. Damion just makes matters worse even thought this is the beginning.
What’s on your mind? Dirty Jerk replies “Murders in big numbers.” meaning that Dirty Jerk will put you six feet under the ground. Dirty Jerk digs deep inside his soul and tries to find himself. He thinks how deadly his mind can be. He’s the type of person to cut your fingers off, lace them cocaine, and smoke them. His father said he was a mistake so now he wants to choke him. An erection led him to be confused for no reason. He can’t see reality as he is blinded off it. Dirty Jerk can’t find reality. Don’t make him blow up because Dirty Jerk is deadly as a bomb see. It ain’t shit unless you involved. It makes his day to commit a murder. The bodies buried in the backyard before they start to smell. Before they catch death, it will be a cold day in hell.
In comes the disheartening distorted chorus chanting “Damion The Demon Seed” repetitively. Damion joined the Skanless Family because his father didn't like him. He made his shrink go crazy too. Insanity is what he pleads for reason in doing so.
Damion is on a level that you can’t relate. If you want to step to him choose your fate. Damion has problems he can’t solve by using medicine. The devil is still inside of Damion and is killing him but hesitant. Damion heard a voice in his bedroom telling him he’d be dead soon. Fuck ‘em all. Damion ain’t scared. The night falls dark and gloomy. He done went insane boy. His bookcase appears to be moving. He tries to save his mother from the drama. It sounds crazy, don’t it? Damion is not liable for his actions though. He picked up a bible and slammed it on the floor because he couldn’t understand it. The bible burns into flames. He then turns to the mirror to find out he’s disappearing like a genie. Damion sees visions of demons. It’s seems like a dream, but things are not done with it. It’s just the same shit old.
Angels are singing in his ear. They appeared to have killed an old lady with a baby. That old lady is his dear mother. Her body falls to wall. Blood quick splatters. He tries to save his mother from the drama. What the fuck? Next he reached and grabbed her throat. It was over when Damion heard his name.
Mack Tha Jacka and Bone Skanless kick it secondly. Mack Tha Jacka introduces us to him first. Bone goes second. Mack Tha Jacka tells about a murder committed on a fool. Mack Tha Jacka talks about how he had people jealous about the Skanless Family. Next up, Bone Skanless kicks off an impromptu freestyle about Damion The Demon Seed. It ain’t nothing to Bone Skanless. This is skanless shit. Everything the Skanless Family did was scandalous. So cold and so skanless.
Damion himself is a nightmare as he describes. So people fear him in their dreams. He’s down with the Skanless Klick. He’s kicking the skanless shit. He’ll be going to his own funeral. Damion eats souls until he gets full. Damion went crazy.
Mack Tha Jacka and Bone Skanless kick it off last. Next up, Bone Skanless kicks off an impromptu freestyle about Damion The Demon Seed. This is a killer outro!
[The legend of this tape is when Tupac came to Flint with MC Breed in 1993, he bought the master copy off of Damion and then released his own song "Dear Mama" which of course became a national hit.
This self-titled album on cassette is way wicked, murderous, and bad ass! Damion The Demon Seed does not get the credit he deserves. Although he didn’t get much credit in the music industry for his work, he still made a name for himself in the underground music scene. Many knew on his whereabouts and efforts there. Damion The Demon Seed is Saginaw's most underrated along with Dirty Jerk, Mack Tha Jacka, Astray, Dangerous D, Trigga Tre, Madam Dane, Nalda, and too many others to name.
After 1994 Damon just disappeared from music and artistry. Since then nothing has been heard about him. Other than that, Damion The Demon Seed had a couple of albums that were released on cassettes in the Saginaw Valley area. Most of them were pretty shortened though. Apparently Damion does art from time to time as a design artist.

Angela Spivey - Determined album review
Angela Spivey delivers her best ministry album! This is her best performance yet! You can enjoy this album from the beginning straight to the end without skipping any tracks. Any gospel music fan would appreciate to purchase this album.
Determined shows her ability to push through life’s troubles with religious high spirited a cappella. Note the high spirited hand-clapping just right in the background in the Determined track. Determined is a gospel harmony piece in a religious style.
Jesus Saves is a religious harmony honoring Jesus. She is fairly well backed by the anointed voices Disciples For Christ on this particular hymn/harmony. The choir pushes through with such clear vocal power loudly in a religious many.
Angela Spivey takes us to church on the tune You Have Brought Us. You Have Brought Us brings us to God as that’s what Angela intended. The tune You Have Brought Us is heartfelt.

Tweet - Charlene album review
First of all, I am glad to see that Tweet is back! She has been gone for way too long! The Southern Hummingbird returns with a powerful soul classic entitled Charlene for 2016. Her voice is as strong yet subtle and gentle. The acoustic arrangements suits her voice so well. Musically speaking, she brings along old collaborators such as Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Craig Brockman from the It’s Me Again album in 2005.
Magic is a breathtaking soulful experience to listen to while you enjoy this masterpiece of an album. The acoustic arrangements suit her voice well. Magic is about Tweet being happy in a relationship. The relationship feels like magic.
Rest assured, you will love the acoustic arrangements on Won't Hurt Me. The acoustic arrangements suit her voice well. Tweet shows indifference to a manipulating man on Won't Hurt Me. The choice to have Won't Hurt Me as a selection for the first single panned out stellar. Listen closely and you can hear that the acoustic arrangements match up with the percussion.
Tweet collaborating with Missy Elliott on Somebody Else Will was a genius idea! Timbaland had produced Somebody Else Will. Somebody Else Will is a breathtaking soulful experience. If the man doesn’t love Tweet, then another lover will. If he doesn’t love Tweet, then someone else will.
Tweet somehow gets caught off guard by being hurt with no faith toward happiness on I Didn't Know. It really did account to being hurt emotionally by love.
Fool No More is about how Tweet will be no longer fooled or manipulated by her man’s actions. In other words, she will not be fooled anymore. The choice is his. Tweet shows indifference to a manipulating man on Fool No More too.
One can hope that she continues to make great music. Hopefully this album will get the sales and promotions that it needs for airplay on radio stations nationwide. Tweet knows her craft and sticks to what she does best. Tweet's new album is awesome. So many albums now lack consistency of production value. Her new record label, eOne, proves to be going towards a step in the right direction. We need albums like this!
(If you got the Deluxe Edition of Charlene from Best Buy, you will find two bonus tracks. The two bonus tracks are Somewhere Out There and Fool No More. Both of which are 4 to 5 minutes long.)

6 Piece - Phase 1 (Enhanced) album review
6 Piece was an Atlanta 6-piece boy band back in the early 2000s and were signed to No Limit Records. 6 Piece was the opening act for Lil Romeo on tour. Kevin Swan stood out as the most memorable group member of 6 Piece in his tenure. 6 Piece is from Atlanta, Georgia, US.
Can't Let Go is about not being able to get over that one whom you truly love. No matter what you do, you just seem to can't let go. You still love them. They are in every dream you have at night. You don't know what all this emotion means or the reasons why. You wake up in the dawn of morning just to contemplate about them. Its like that.
A wish for love and romance is prevalent on The Wish Song. A wish to make love is what you desire. Everyone wishes for one more chance. A wish for all the above.
Share your love, thoughts, and heart on Share Your Love. It's a suggested love song perfect for you!
My First, My Last was their first single. The girlies went nuts when 6 Piece and Lil Romeo performed My First, My Last live on stage. Everyone loved this song back in the day. It was a sweet love song. Just pure and clean loving with no overhyped sexuality. No autotune was used at all. I love this song. My First, My Last is great! Especially the remix version!
Now perhaps if 6 Piece came out a decade earlier and were fresh back in the day. They would have been on the same level as the Backstreet Boys or Blackstreet. It was due to the over-saturation of boy bands in early turn of the 21st century that caused 6 Piece to be overlooked. This is a great album for anyone who is a pop fan. Other than that, 6 piece album is off the hook!

Lil Keesha - The Prodigy EP EP review
This EP is a collection of 6 songs that showcase the amazing vocal talents of Lil Keesha. She’s like a 15 year old Mariah Carey who can hit all the high notes. Her 4 octave range is amazing when she is on display! Her octaves are heavenly. Her octaves are amazing when she sings.
The EP starts off with a cover version of 1978 Oscar Award winning song Last Dance by Donna Summer. Last Dance has that old school disco pop skating rink type of feel to it. Dance meets pop on Last Dance. She sings the same notes and keys. Her octaves are amazing when she sings the notes Donna Summer sang. Plus Last Dance is a track to get up and dance to.
Lil Keesha showcases her 4 octave range on ballad Heaven Knows. This is where Lil Keesha really shines. The ballad Heaven Knows is similar to a Mariah Carey ballad. Heaven Knows is an original by Lil Keesha.
On the track Anxious, Keesha's girlfriend introduces her to a guy but doesn't want to appear too anxious or nervous. So she panders on how she should handle the situation. She looks for a way on how she can handle the pressure of being in love. Henceforth the title. Anxious is a love song obviously.
Overall, Lil Keesha raises the bar in her singing and in her status on this particular EP paving way for artists such teenage singers as herself. Many more have chosen this path in the future.

Lil Alfred - Dealin' With The Feelin' album review
Lil Alfred is dealin' with the feelin' by incorporating Blues music into soul music on his first nationwide album distributed nationally by Jin Records outta Louisiana State. He mixes the sounds of Blues, Country, zydeco, swamp boogie, and soul music in his debut album. Lil Alfred's vocal range is truly unique in a mannerism that no one else can replicate.
The opening trumpet blasts us away soulfully speaking at the beginning of the title track! Lil Alfred explains to us in song and tune how exactly he is "Dealin' With The Feelin'".
On the track The One Thing, Lil Alfred incorporated the Blues sound mixed with that honkytonk Country sound with his soulful swamp boogie voice. The One Thing is a track that many Lil Alfred fans will favor.
She's Looking Good is a Wilson Pickett cover song. Lil Alfred covers Wilson Pickett very good in a vocal manner. He is good at it to boot. Not many can cover Wilson Pickett vocally as Lil Alfred can. Lil Alfred's vocal coverage is truly unique in a manner no one can replicate.
Soulfully speaking, Lil Alfred takes us on a musical journey on how he is flying high on the wings of music on the ballad Flying High On The Wings Of Music. The sound of music will get you stoned. His music will take you everywhere. Lil Alfred's vocals shine here.
Lil Alfred had came a long way since his days with Cookie and the Cupcakes. The high notes in his baritone voice prove otherwise. He had that swamp boogie soul in him. Lil Alfred's vocal coverage is truly unique in a manner no one can replicate.

Michael Jackson - Forever, Michael album review
Unlike Michael Jackson's previous chart-topping bestseller albums, Forever, Michael was not a commercial success worldwide globally speaking. The album did not chart fairly well. In some countries, the Forever, Michael album did not chart. Fans had not anticipated that the album sales would be lackluster. Nor did the music industry for that matter.
Michael's voice had started changing in the late 70's. He was starting to sound relevant to his own musical style. Take Off The wall for instance. He really changed his personal image there.
Dapper is a track that stood out the most. Dapper Dan is a groovy track. The sweet upbeat tempo makes the song enjoyable to listen too. Surely, Dapper Dan is a classic that Michael Jackson fans will appreciate for the years to come. The upbeat tempo is what lead the song to have success.
You Are There is a sweet upbeat song about love of course. Knowing Michael Jackson, that's not surprising.
Take Me Back seems to be a neglected love song despite its title. In other words, Take Me Back an under appreciated Michael Jackson love song. Take Me Back, however, is a cult classic among hardcore Michael Jackson fans. This song should have gotten more airplay.
