Lady Wray - Smiling single review

Smiling is an instant feel good anthem serving as a reminder to keep our heads up and to keep a smile on our faces in order to deal with whatever life has planned for us described by Big Crown Records and Nicole Wray. Leon Michels & Thomas Brenneck contribute in terms of production. Bubblegum pop meets gritty classic soul.

Make Me Over is a down and out tune. A lusty tale. Nicole finds herself asking for a little help so she can get a break from being strapped for cash promising to take care of her man as soon as her check comes in. She lets her guard down during the duration of the song. Her expensive taste leads to empty pockets.

Lil Keke - Slfmade album review

Slfmade represents Lil Keke's status as a legendary Houston rapper who's been in the game for more than 17 years. He has sold more than 2 million units as an independent rapper on various record labels over the years. Southern rap meets lyrical rap on the track Slfmade. He is a well respected legend in Texas rap and hip hop.

We know Lil Keke is bout it, bout it when it comes to straight business. He's not taking no shorts or no losses. He's not coming up short. Especially when it comes to his money. He lyrically displays his flow on this one. That's why he's about his business on Bout My Business.

Money Don't Sleep is about independent success as a rap artist. Lil Keke's been in the game for more than 17 years and sold more than 2 million units as an independent rapper on various record labels over the years. He's not taking no shorts or no losses. He's not coming up short. Especially when it comes to his money. He's bout his business on this one.

Southside Groovin' is a Houston rap classic as well as a Texas rap classic. H-Town SUC lyrical heavyweight Big Pokey raps on this track. Both H-Town lyrical heavyweights Lil Keke and Big Pokey hold down their weight on this track by doing what they do best. Southside Groovin' pays homage, honor, and tribute to DJ Screw.

Lil Keke and Mr. Lee tell no lies on No Lie. Just straight up lyrical truth. Mr. Lee was responsible for producing this track for Lil Keke.

All in all, Slfmade is a brehsive turnt up classic Texas Rap album. Lil Keke fans and Texas Rap fans will not be disappointed to pick up and buy this album. It has tight lyrics with that freestyle flow. In the world of digital download, Slfmade is well received and highly regarded in its own right. Southern rap meets lyrical rap on Slfmade. Another album that does not disappoint is this album. Slfmade comes as a 2 CD set. The second CD is a bonus CD that screwed and chopped by Wreckshop Nation. Slfmade is a brehsive turntup classic!

Various Artists - Memories of Mukesh Instrumental album review

Memories of Mukesh Instrumental is Pakistani Indian music that is similar to sitar music you would hear from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Nepal, or Afghanistan. Such sitar music is calm, tranquil, and peaceful. Venus Records Ltd. from Bombay, India brings us a sitar instrumental driven album bringing us soothing calmness and tranquility for all to enjoy. Instruments used on this album are the sitar of course, the santoor, mukesh, and a mandolin. Keynotes from a sitar and mandolin are played throughout the album. Soothing calmness are best keywords for terminology of this album at most. Sitar music is the best!

Ziggy Marley - One Bright Day album review

One Bright Day is where one bright day the people got together to celebrate love around the nations of Earth. There was singing and dancing. People were living life without fear. There was music and people loved it. One Bright Day is a reggae song about celebrating world peace through music and dance. Ziggy Marley wrote this song in 1989 during the time of apartheid in Rhodesia (South Africa). A call for world peace was much needed at the time. That's why this song was written.

Black My Story is about Black/African history representing African liberty and African glory. Who Will Be There is a religious reggae song about the Rastafari God Jah. Look Who's Dancing is a song about dance. dance is an important part of reggae culture.

Ziggy demands justice on the song Justice. To him, Justice is a one word prayer. Justice sometimes let the innocent die unfortunately. Justice is needed for those who deserve it. We demand change for our justice system and justice itself. Much justice is dealt with by diplomats. Such justice cannot be given by aristocrats in aristocracy as they are hypocrites.

Neptunes - Nocturnal Habit album review

Mix rock, pop, and jazz, and you have the result of the Nocturnal Habit album by Neptunes. Jake Flack wrote 66% of this album because as he is the main vocalist. James Fenner add the additional percussion. Most of the album is filled with vocals. Pop rock is the best accurate term to describe and refer to this album. Yes pop rock. Soothing soft rock meets pop rock on this album. The songs are rather short being that a slight majority of them are under 3 minutes long in duration. REC Records brings out the best in Neptunes.* SPIN Magazine has referred to this album as roots rock. Mindless roots rock that is.

Bloodshot Eyes comes with a gritty guitar ridden instrumental with the pop rock sound. The song sounds thrifty and rather upbeat. Trendy and thrifty are words to describe this song. Designated Driver is an ode to drunkeness similar to Irishman Lost in Spain by Vallejo. It's one of those drinking songs. Rock 'n Roll Mama is a classic hard rock song.

[REC Records is a division of REC Music Group, Inc. The same REC Music Group that put out MC Overlord - Play To Win in 1990.]

Ringo Starr - Time Takes Time album review

Ringo Starr comes with a somewhat tolerable pop album to please the masses at large. Ringo Starr has been a household name in the pop market for years and this album is no exception. Quirky and funny are terms that come to one's mind when listening to this album. If you like The Beatles, then you'll like Ringo Starr and this particular album!

Weight of the World is about how we as humans carry the weight of the world on our shoulders. It breaks down on your back like a boulder. All the weight we can and cannot bear. Weight does crucify us as humans.

It's hard to choose your destiny willfully when you don't know where the road goes on Don't Go Where The Road Don't Go. Howling of a dark lonely night is when and where you feel the walls come closing in. The freeway takes you back to where it all began. There's still much to learn.

Golden Blunders is a gut-wrenching song of guilt. Disappointment breeds contempt. It makes you feel inept leading you to feel guilt. Now you suffer the guilt forever. It got ugly real quickly.

MC Overlord - Play To Win album review

MC Overlord & True Color Posse had Play To Win released on cassette REC Music Group from Austin, Texas in 1990. The sounds from this cassette are very different from the Overlord albums you hear today. The sounds you hear are from early Austin hip hop and rap. Rap was starting to set foot in Austin in the 90s. Funk meets rap and hip hop on this album.

You're in it to win it on Play To Win! It's not about taking losses. It's about playing to win. It's about winning. That's how the game in the system works. MC Overlord takes charge lyrically as a rapper being the head MC for the True Color Posse. A funky keyboard organ is used to accomplish the hook for Play To Win. A funk driven guitar is used as well in the song.

Brick House is an MC Overlord & True Color Posse cover of Brick House by The Commodores band. It's a great cover version too! The song Brick is very similar to the song Brick by Dazz from 1976. Funk and rap meet soul music on this song.

Promises, Promises was a 3 minute track written by MC Overlord and D. Edmondson. MC Overlord takes charge lyrically as a rapper being the head MC for the True Color Posse.

[Play To Win was released on cassette only by REC Records in 1990. The album was never released on CD ever. Only a small amount of these were ever pressed. It's long out of print. REC Records is a division of REC Music Group, Inc.]

Carcass - Surgical Steel album review

Carcass as a rock band appears to be a virtuoso band in the heavy metal sub-genre. The words used in their vocabulary is such advanced intelligent language. It's truly a wonder whether they are a rock band or not. The band has studied up on their vocabulary making themselves into educated citizens full of knowledge, intelligence, and wisdom. Surgical Steel seems to be SAW inspired because the album cover itself is similar to a scene similarly seen in a horror film. That's no coincidence because the Surgical Steel album cover was composed by Walker and based on an original concept by Martin Nesbitt. The layout was designed by Rob Kimura. It also seems that the band Carcass was inspired by horror films when the songwriters composed/wrote this album.

Thrasher's Abattoir is a declaration of war with vigorous anger powered vocabulary to describe the brutalization and damnification of absolute slaughter in war. People die in war from mutilation, suffocation, strangulation, and brutalization during casualties of war.

Cold blooded passion with dehumanizing filth is the best term to describe the song Cadaver Pouch Conveyor System. The hazardous toxic mist gives this particular song a brooding vibe while the pink mist gives away an eerie feeling appropriate for a horror film. Pain is the best sentence describing the song.

A Congealed Clot of Blood is about bloodshed of jihad warfare. Things turn into a state of bloody dystopia. We discover nothing but human bloodshed during a state of bloody dystopia from jihadist warfare. False imam is all in the great prophet's name. Profit of rage is the jihadist black flag from which a dark standard is raised. It means permission for an all out war. Infinite human conflict without resolution for tranquility or a peace treaty occurs. Just monotony.

When it comes to cleaning The Master Butcher's Apron, the blood never dries. Of all the butchers maligned, the sun never sets. Meaning that a butchers job is never done. There is always meat products to process. Slaughtered is a fruitless sacrifice after all. Contagious diseases contaminating meat is similar to maggots colonizing The Carcass band questions official positions of government such as the monarchy and empire. This murderous monarchy is what Carcass is after. Recollections of the past have been revisited and tainted. We are bound by our own past. The Master Butcher's Apron is dedicated to all fallen soldiers.

Impressions of despair and disorientation is the best sentence best for describing Noncompliance to ASTM F899-12 Standard. Carcass describes themselves as virtuosos of the visceral. The exhausted cycle of death what this one is all about. References to abortion are made into death. It's the way we all decay. All flesh of life will eventually decay. We are bound in heartless exuberance.

Granulating Dark Satanic Mills is another song about the cycle of death. Many references to satanism are pointed out by the band. Grim tales are told in story form and retrospect. We are servants of existence. We exist to serve. Service is our means of existence.

316L Grade Surgical Steel 316L is about a lovers betrayal. There is no true love in this relationship. Only varying degrees of wanted lust. Love is a void similar to a wound in the chest. Always love the ones you hurt because they love you back.  There is no true love. Grade Surgical Steel has many references to abortion. Take the verse "Tenderized twelve ounces of flesh" for instance.

Captive Bolt Pistol is yet again another song that is death themed. After reading the lyrics to this song, it seems to be similar reading a medical procedure from a medical textbook at Seton Hospital or Bellevue Hospital. The lyrics seems to be similar to a medical procedure for lobotomy. The details are increasingly disturbing after 20 seconds into the song. Impressions of despair and disorientation is the best sentence best for describing Captive Bolt Pistol as was to Noncompliance to ASTM F899-12 Standard. Both songs are similarly disturbing and graphic in nature.

Mount of Execution details to us about the gathering corpse storm of hell awaiting us. Many of these details are very grim otherwise. It’s a dark mobilization towards darkness and an aphasic horizon. A reign of terror is about to be unleashed on you. Final judgement has arrived.

While the listening experience would be considered disturbing inhumane for most, the album is interestingly unique. Surgical Steel is an unusual virtuoso heavy metal album in the name of rock. Songs sung wholeheartedly are truly grim. All of the songs are considered disturbing and graphic in nature. Nuclear Blast and Carcass never fail to disappoint! The words used in their vocabulary is such advanced language considered intelligent. It's truly a wonder to know whether they are a rock band or not.

BSOB - 55 album review

Bacao Rhythm & Steel Band (BRSB) has now released their long awaited debut album called "55" on Brooklyn’s Big Crown Records in 2016! 55 is a steel drum music with an updated approach flawlessly touching other music genres. BSOB does a flawless good job keeping in the tradition of steel drum music. The music's instrumentation is flawlessly played along with the instrumentation arrangements. Funk elements can be heard on this album too if you pay attention by listening closely.

Port Of Spain Hustle is a spaced out disco vibe which is also considered to be gritty by fans of music. Port of Spain Hustle is one of the strongest tunes on the album because it is an original composition written by BSOB. This song holds down the most weight of the album. The instrumentation arrangements are played flawlessly.

Highway Ride is an original composition by BSOB which is another strong tune holding down the weight of the album. By far, Highway Ride is still largely undiscovered being overlooked by fans of reggae music. Also, Highway Ride has a disco vibe too!

Police In Helicopter is smooth reggae steel pan music chilling and soothing for the soul. The music's instrumentation arrangements are flawlessly played. Laventille Road March is a heavy drum ridden song with a smooth reggae music vibe. This song was recorded on analog 8 track tape at The Mocambo Studios in Hamburg, Germany.

Elton John - Live in Australia album review

Live in Australia was released as a specially priced 2 record set on 1 cassette in 1987 on MCA Records. Melbourne Symphony Orchestra contributed instrumentation on this live album for Elton John. The concert took place all over the continent and country of Australia on the date of December 14th, 1986. There are no overdubs used on this album to support or enhance the instrumentation even after the interval. Some of his best live performances can be heard on this album.

Tonight tells us vivid detail of a troublesome midnight lovers quarrel. Elton John wants to go sleep on Tonight, but all you want to do is carry on grudges and be argumentative. He doesn't want to fight again. Is a night of silence too much to ask for? Does every night have to be the same argument in repetition? For once, silence would be appreciated. He wants this conflict to be resolved.

Candle in the Wind is about one's youth being cut short during their prime time. Youth hood was abruptly cut short during their life. Life can end unexpectedly. Cherish the life you have. Your Song is a short sweet Elton John solo song he sings as the vocalist. He is the main vocalist.

Take Me To The Pilot is the most incomprehensible Elton John song to date. Not too many Elton John fans can understand this song. Neither that many people too. The lyrics possess many elements including the illusion of danger and betrayal.
