Jhiame - Screamn' Dat Pimpin' album review

Screamn' Dat Pimpin is filled with Hip Hop/Rap, Funk, Blues, and R&B/Soul. The back of the album cover represents symbols of the 1970s era such as the golden colored Black Power fist chain, the Afro pick comb, the black Go Go boots, and a pair of the funky star glasses Booty Collins wears. The front cover parodies the Superfly font lettering of Superfly by Curtis Mayfield. Screamn' Dat Pimpin' was released in 1995 on Jhiame Productions and B 4 Reel Records.

(OG Jhiame Dog is the legendary Screwed Up Click producer known as Jhiame. Jhiame Productions is based out of Houston, Texas. B 4 Reel Records was based out of Houston, Texas as well.)

On Screamn' Dat Pimpin'… It's 12 o'clock with OG Jhiame Dog and he needs a dub sack. OG Jhiame is a player raised by the old school and spreadin' hustle to the new school. This is an international hustle. From Hollywood to Houston. From Newark to Paris to Dubai and to New York City. The drum programming is on point. The beats are on point too.

Hustler's Anthem is dedicated to all the hustler's of course. Whatever your hustle is, keep on pimpin'! Whether you a doctor, a lawyer, or a social worker. Do whatcha gotta you do! This is an international hustle. Funk meets rap on the Hustler's Anthem. Hustler's Anthem comes with a funky upbeat swing within the sound of this track right here.

Pimp On samples The Floaters - Float On. Pimp On is an ode and dedication towards The Floaters - Float On. You will love the Djembe drums and drum beats on Pimp On. Pimping is an international hustle as Jhiame claims.

Stop Hi-Cappin' is talking about religion at first. Stop Hi-Cappin' is mostly about bragging rights. Also Jhiame tells folks to stop acting cocky on Stop Hi-Cappin’. The beat is real good with a funky swing and funky swank.

E-Z Way Out is about a brother who is a hustler making his way out the ghetto. This brother who is a hustler is looking for a way out to make it out of the ghetto as this brother is looking for an easy way out from a live of poverty so he does not have to resort to a life of crime. Resorting to a life of crime is the last thing this brother wants to do. The title says it all.

Gangsta! I B Not is all about the streets. The title says it all. Resorting to a life of crime is the last thing this brother Jhiame wants to do. Jhiame claims he is not a gangsta. Gangsta! I B Not comes with a funky jazz swing on with a funky swank.

Ooo! Wee is just a party jam that is also a G-Funk jam. Rap meets soul on Ooo! Wee. The choir and beats are on point! The volume is slightly lower than all the other tracks on the album with a reduced sound. Both the volume and treble are reduced.

Cats Wanna Be Dogs is an ode to George Clinton - Atomic Dog. Perfect G-Funk jam! The choir, beats, bass, and vox are on point! Cats Wanna Be Dogs is aimed at those wannabe gangsters and posers whom Jhiame takes shots at. He also takes shots at these hoes and females groupies who this track is aimed at.

Hey Hoez is dedicated to all the hoez out there! You know who you are. Yet again, funk meets rap right here. Meaning that funk meets rap on Hey Hoez!. Jhiame takes shots at these hoes.

Playarism is about how playas do. The late great Leon Banks Jr. contributes to Playarism with a mean guitar solo. Playarism has that blues sound sound with a blended touch of Memphis soul. Memphis soul and Memphis blues are blended in with rap on the Playarism track.

Playa's Blues is a Blues track featuring famous Memphis Blues musician/artist Leon Banks Jr.! The late great Leon Banks Jr. contributes to Playa's Blues with a mean guitar solo. Playa's Blues should have been longer than 2 minutes and 50 seconds. It should have been close to 4 or 5 minutes long. The track Playa's Blues is something similar to what you would hear at a blues club. Playa's Blues has that Memphis soul and Memphis blues sound to it.

For some reason this album went under the radar. Maybe it was something with Southwest Distribution or lack of promotion. But it was definitely due to lack of promotion that Screamn' Dat Pimpin flew right under the radar and got overlooked in Texas rap.

BOSSALENA - BOSSAVELI EP review

What’s unique about this EP is that there is a different producer for each track. For example, Ain’t No Party is produced by Steve Vicious (VMF) while Who I Am is produced by The Legion Beats. The track Loyalty was produced by Digital Beats.

BOSSALENA takes shot at female rappers (rap bitches) who emulate the rap style of Nicki Minaj on Last Warning. They claim they are better than Nicki Minaj at rapping. Why do they all sound like her? Wack rhyming schemes. They are straight clones. These female rappers are brainwashed by the media prompting them to sell their soul. It;s just for an easy way to earn revenue. Rap bitches can’t stand being caught in a life of poverty while being broke. BOSSALENA is not a battle rapper, but they know not to test her. Clearly she is ahead of her peers.

Last Warning is an acappella introduction. Rap meets acappella on Last Warning. There is no music playing in the background to accompany this here introduction. Nor is there singing. BOSSALENA takes shots at all female rappers from all angles on Last Warning.

Steve Vicious (VMF) lays down some heat on Ain’t No Party with that Dago Funk sound. That’s why that West Coast sound is very prevalent on Ain’t No Party. Steve Vicious (VMF) does a killer job laying down his mad production skills on the Ain’t No Party track. BOSSALENA made a bright choice by getting VMF to produce Ain’t No Party. The decision to use VMF to produce Ain’t No Party was a bright one. With VMF you can’t go wrong!

The hard heavy hitting bass will surely rattle your speakers! You can feel music from Ain’t No Party deep down in your soul. All BOSSALENA wants to do is have a good time. Sip on a little wine. Don’t get too intoxicated however.

The BOSSAVELI is very futuristic sounding similar to 2010s rap. The hard heavy hitting bass will surely rattle your speakers! BOSSAVELI is produced by Kustom Beats. Those drill beats tho. This BOSSAVELI is all about her business. She clearly maintains this title for herself,

BOSSALENA has created a buzz for herself with Don’t Think as this BOSSAVELI is all about her business as she clearly maintains this title for herself. Don’t Think has sounds that you would hear on the radio. Clearly she is ahead of her peers. With so much success BOSSALENA is not stopping at any cost.

That’s brehsive that BOSSALENA - BOSSAVELI EP is something new for 2016! The BOSSAVELI EP is very futuristic sounding. However the only flaw is that several tracks are 2 minutes too short. In other words, several tracks are 2 minutes too short of what they duration should be. Other than that, BOSSALENA has created a buzz for herself. With so much success BOSSALENA is not stopping at any cost.

What’s unique about this EP is that there is a different producer for each track. For example, Ain’t No Party is produced by Steve Vicious (VMF) while Who I Am is produced by The Legion Beats. The track Loyalty was produced by Digital Beats.

Big June - My Day GoeZ On album review

My Day GoeZ by Big June was recorded from 2002 to 2003. Big June had just done a 5 year bid in the pen at the time for a home invasion and robbery. This album was released on Big June's own imprint label Big N It Records and Repo Records in 2003. The three tracks done in 1992 that the front cover of the album is referring to are Intro, Big June Nigga, and Straight Jackin' which were off the EP's Da Plug and Nightrider.

First off is the intro which repeats Big June N-I Double G-A over and over on a sample of More Bounce To The Ounce by Zapp. Screams, screeches, tires peel outs, gunshots, ammo, and bullets can be heard in the loud background. Big June is letting us know… Big June is comin' at yo ass one mo gin!

Still Jackin' is a continuation of Straight Jackin'. This is where Big June picked up where he left off on Straight Jackin’ from the 1992 cassette single. VMF aka Steve Vicious produced this track. The song features Gangsta Boi as well. Still Jackin' is a more updated polished version of Straight Jackin'.

On So Unfuckwid'able, Big June tells us why he's Unfuckwid'able. Steve Vicious produced this track as well. The volume of the production is very loud. It is well and on point! All Night is about feelin' freaky up all night. Big June will have you feelin' freaky all night long. It's a late night jam with heavy drums and bass.

Gee Uv Ya Own is a dope song! Big June tells how to keep to yourself and mind your own damn business. That's how the game goes sometimes. Big June is an OG. Gee Uv Ya Own is a dedication to all the G's. Gee Uv Ya Own was produced by Steve Vicious and samples Average White Band - A Love Of Your Own. This shit slaps hard!

Me, You, And God is about Big June having second thoughts on sleeping with his homeboy's girl. He wants to keep a relationship with her, but he knows he has to keep it secret. So henceforth the track title.

Shackled explains the events about how Big June was locked up and why he was locked up. The charge was shooting up an occupied dwelling. The courts did not drop the sentence for Big June on the gun charge. The other charges were breaking & entering. Talk about walking a straight. This song features another rapper named Mally. Mally states that his prison number was K70585 and the charges were murder and weapon possession. Big June goes with a Reggae flow on this track!

For All The Wrong Reasons explains the reasons why G's keep getting caught in the midst of doing stupid shit. Such as 25 to life with no get back, committing shootings, and other festivities. Big June goes with a Reggae flow on this track as well!

On the title track, we appear to be at prison in the parole line. Big June is having another conversation with another inmate about what he's gonna do different when he gets out. Big June's name gets called. The guard addresses him as Inmate Price. Big June is out the gates! The whip on chrome starts up. It's back on. Nothing has changed since Big June had left these Southeast streets. Everything in Southeast San Diego looks the same to him.

Big June and Brotha Lynch Hung are on the track Young Riders from 1995. Young Riders was a single Big June released in 1995 that contained different versions of Night Rider and Young Riders. Young Riders is a dedication to all the G's. Big June was a young rider creepin' in the night. He does it at night because that's when young motherfuckers get gunned down. He keeps 16 in the clip. He’s not the one to get caught slipping’ and push 25 to life in prison. Big June is from the wicked ass Southeast streets of San Diego when the gangstas kick it! So don't get caught slippin'!

Big June Nigga is a self-explanatory track about who Big June is. Big June Nigga samples More Bounce To The Ounce by Zapp. Both Steve Vicious and Repo Ric produced this track. That’s why you can hear VMF’s sound all over Big June Nigga with that heavy G-Funk sound.

Big June is a young nigga from Southeast San Diego, California. Big June is on a mission. While he is on this mission, his eyes are faded from a fat blunt of that endo. He’s got half in his sack. But he’s going to save some for his homie Lil Lunch Beef. But that’s the home and wants to be high like Big June. They meet at the I at 8 o’clock. They get a 40 ounce of that Olde English. Big June keeps a strap when he rolls the streets. He’s ready to blast when he sees a fool trying to creep.

Now Big June describes himself as a hardheaded motherfucker. He’s feels crazy with the intentions of always killing. Big June keeps his Dickies™sagging low. Messing with Big June and believe me, you will come up short. Fuck with Big June and you will come up short. He has a brew. So now his situated. He poured some brew onto the curb for the deceased homies.

Moving forward, Big June caught this fool slippin’ and he busted at his ass when he should have waited. The batterram is rolling deep. Big June cuts the lights on his car parks in a vacant lot. He tossed the dope and bud under a tree along with the gat. And now he peels out quick with the 40 in his lap. Big June sees a bitch with a fat pussy. So he went up in it. He went to her pad but quickly left. Right as Big June walked out the door, she started pulling on his sleeve. That’s what you get for fucking around with Big June Nigga.

Notice how Big June gave props, a shoutout, and a reference to San Diego rapper CC. CC and Big June were close homies who earned each others respect.
It was in this verse:
you know my homie CC is drinking MD
another motherfucker down with 61 n-i-n-e

Straight Jackin' is the next track. On this song called Straight Jackin’, Big June talks about committing robberies and doing home invasions. Big June talks about robbing and jacking people for they shit. Big June went on a mission.

Big June is a young nigga from Southeast San Diego, California. He is dressed in brown, black, and red getting ready to invade someone’s home to commit a robbery. SESD is imprinted on his back. His eyes are always looking faded. He had the single Big June Nigga in his ride and so he played it. He has his day plan headed for Southeast San Diego. San Diego PD took his picture because of the fact he was associating himself with gangs. San Diego PD shouldn’t have to ask Big June what set he’s from. So they let him go but confiscated his bud.

Big June heard some funky sounds while strolling in front of Lincoln Park. (That is the Lincoln Big June is referring to.) It was Luke in a Caddilac. So now Big June proceeds to flag him down. It’s 11:15 AM. Big June tells Luke to hurry up as Morse High School is letting out for lunch. Big June and Luke arrive at the school at 11:28 AM. Shannon Bo watched over the car for Big June. (Shannon Bo just happened to be there at the time.) Black Sid started coming because he heard Big June flowing. He was dressed in all black with his rag. Big June had some bud but police confiscated that from him. Ain’t that a bitch! Big June is stressin’ too. Black Sid tossed Big June the gat and said “There’s only one thing left to do.” Big June said “What?” Black Sid looked at Big June and started laughing. He said “Kick back, June. Because we’re straight jackin’.” Now we are waiting for Shannon Bo and Black Sid so Big June & them so they can commit robberies and home invasions. So get ready for the jackin’!

Big June takes off his brown Dickies™and now he is in all black. Now we are waiting for Shannon and Black Sid so they can commit robberies and home invasions. Shannon Bo and Black Sid pull up in a Model T Ford. Big June states he can’t go jacking sober. So the pull out the 8 bottle. They started getting drunk. Now Big June wants to go to Trose so he can get some dip. They this old fool strolling, high rolling with a lot of money. Big June hopped out the Caddilac and put a shank to his dome. He wasn’t scared of the knife so Big June pulled out the gat. He thought it was fake so he pulled it back. Shannon said “Give it up or your ass I’ll get. And if I have to, Im’ma shoot off your little dick.” He pulled out some $10’s and $20s. Big June walked away like nothing happened. He put his gat in the glove compartment inside his Cadillac. Big June has prepared himself for another mission.

At this present moment, Big June is high as fuck. But his brain is flowing smooth. He is still stable enough to pull a jack move. Nina Ross is the boss when Big June’s on the jack tip. He is scoping out a home to invade. Just his luck. Nobody’s even home. Big June tosses possessions from that home into U-Haul truck in the back. Big June has prepared himself for another mission yet again.

This album slaps hard! The production is on point. There are no filler tracks. Party joints with that West Coast sound are All Night, Gee Uv Ya Own, and Damn!. With Big June, Steve Vicious, and Repo Ric’s production sound or them producing, you can’t go wrong!

5/5*****!!

Big June - Flamed Up [2006 Edition] album review

This album was released on CD by Big N It Records in 2006. On the front album cover, Big June is posing up in nearly all red everythang at the corner of 1000 Meadowbrook Drive & 7800 Skyline Drive. Props to whoever did the graphic design!! Great Photoshop©® skills!! VMF is all over this album as he is the one who produced it.

Big June was fresh off parole in 2006 for shooting up an occupied dwelling as he mentions that in the intro. Artists mentioned in the intro are Suga Free, Lil Rob, JT The Bigga Figga, Lench Mob, and Brotha Lynch Hung. Big June higher than a helicopter! Big June is at you one mo' muthafuckin' gin! This ain't no "neo gangsta rap" 'like' 50 Cent or G-Unit. This is street gangsta rap! The Flamed Up album has new shit and old shit.

The next song is the 1st single off the album called Smash Down. There is perfection and quality sound inside the drums. Smash Down was recorded in 2005. Smash Down is a fire track!

You will love the solo guitar note on the title track called Flamed Up! This a song to walk to in slow motion as a building explodes in the background and bursts into flames. Like a X-Men commercial. Big June is FLAMED UP from the Skyline neighborhood in San Diego. He got on red everythang. References to gun types such as Mac 11 and AK's are mentioned. Stormin' Stackabill, Gangsta Boi, and BossManHog all make guest appearances on this FLAMED UP track. The beats are on point!

On Where I Live, Big June talks about how it is with the G's on the block. The spacey electronic keyboards are used on Where I Live. Where I Live describes live in Southeast San Diego. Life in Southeast San Diego is not that easy however.

The spacey electronic keyboards are used on Buy My Shit. Big June wants you to ride to this. The vocoder is what makes In The Parking Lot a great track! The drum beats are on point!!

Im'a Buss At U is Big June cover song of Butch Cassidy - I'm A Hustla.  The drum beats are on point!! Im'a Buss At U takes shots at all wack rappers in this industry.

[Skyline Nigga is the 2006 version of Big June Nigga. Straight Jackin' is a remake of the 1992 Straight Jackin’.]
