C-Loc - Killa Instinct single review
This IS NOT the same C-Loc from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This C-Loc is white and better know as Shawn Curry. He is from Clinton Township, Michigan. (It's near Flint.) This cassette single was released on Hustlin' Records in 1995. His style will remind you of Esham and White Lee (Lee Laury) of Criminal Background. C-Loc does mimic Esham's acid rap. There weren't a lot of white rappers that did acid rap in the 90s. So that's why C-Loc stands out.
Streets of War is a real acid rap track with a pinch of Esham influence. Killa Instinct is about being in that killa mode! As Lil Black of CKC would put it as "pants saggin', minds in that killa mode!". It's very dark and grimey track.

Santana - Smooth single review
Smooth is a prolific song by Santana featuring the artist Rob Thomas. Santana shows off his mean guitar playing skills on this particular song while Rob Thomas is the lyricist. Thomas is a very underrated artist. Rob Thomas should have gained more national exposure. Rob Thomas definitely should have had potential to become an international sensation as Santana did.
El Taro is the song that represents the Spanish/Latin flavor on this single. El Taro was the perfect way for Santana and his accompanying band to end this single. El Taro is a very underrated Santana song in retrospect to all his other songs. El Taro is 4:19 long. It's an ok song. Santana shows off his mean guitar playing skills on this particular song as well.

ume - Sunshower EP EP review
The album cover artwork is quite abstract! Not to mention the blue tone! The gradients have been well-used. The sakura trees are quite lovely. The abstract album cover artwork is similar to Blur and Moby. Think about it for a second and it will match up. Pendulum is similar of a song that Linkin Park would do. Pendulum is similar to In The End by Linkin Park which sparked the groups stardom internationally.

Playa D - Something 2 Ride 2 album review
Something 2 Ride 2 is smooth Midwest rap over G-Funk from Omaha, Nebraska. Both sides of this cassette have killer tracks. Playa D will remind you of Tech N9ne in his early days. Playa D is very similar to Too $hort and Tech N9ne. The smooth G-Funk sounds give Playa D a smooth pimp type of flow. Something 2 Ride 2 is something for the ballers and shot callers to ride to.

Geza X - We Need More Power album review
We Need More Power is a revolutionary cry and call for an evolutionary leap. Civilization is in deep. Society wants to win, but the price is too steep to pay. So metaphorically in the song, society is backed into a corner. We have got make an evolutionary leap. The future has a grim outlook as out moral ethics are in shambles. History is in shambles. But there’s a problem. We Need More Power!
Mean Mr. Mommy Man is a grotesque song with violent lyrics describing how a doctor had a deal with “Mean Mr. Mommy Man” to cut the worms out of Geza X’s head.

DJ Laz - Pimpin’ album review
In all honesty by any means, Pimpin’ is one of the most overlooked DJ Laz albums from the Pandisc record label corporation. Bass music dominates the whole album. The production is as smooth as ever. The electronic sound inside its own modernized production gives the album a polished sound. Heavy trunk rattlin' bass dominates the album. La Fiesta is spicy mix of Spanish music infused with bass music. La Fiesta also has a blended mixture of salsa music. Legendary DJ Spin lends a hand in production for the track Hold Up with Fern Roc. Let Them Ho’s Fight contains samples of Burn Rubber On Me by The Gap Band.

Atoozi - Atoozi album review
Mix the genres of dance, pop, and hip hop, and here you have the results of dance duo Atoozi. Atoozi’s album is more hip pop than hip hop being that Atoozi is primarily a dance oriented album. Such dance music is truly refreshing. Rich optimism is heard on the Atoozi album. An ensemble of live horns blend in well with dance music. Jeffery Burrell and John Sharpe make up the Atoozi duo.

NOFX - HOFX EP EP review
This EP wasn't very good. NOFX fans were expecting 4 or 5 songs instead we got only 2 songs. Which is the total length of 45 single vinyl record as 45s only 2 songs. Very rarely do 45s hold 3 songs. One has to wonder if the NOFX band plotted this ploy in advance beforehand.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers - By The Way album review
A handful of Red Hot Chili Peppers too fond of the alternative rock sound that was sprouting out during the beginning of the new millennium during the 21st Century. If you thought By The Way was going to be thrashcore heavy metal, you are sadly mistaken. As Red Hot Chili Peppers stuck mainly to their garage rock pop rock roots on this album.

Betty Hutton - Somebody Loves Me album review
This album was released in the United Kingdom on CD by Sepia Records. This album has songs written from America's Most Underrated Sweethart Betty Hutton! Betty Hutton was underrated during her tenure career as a singer. Somebody Loves Me is full of slow-paced love ballads. All of the songs were transferred to CD from the original 78 RPM recordings on acetate. So some surface noise may remain in the noise production sound.

The Hondells - Go Little Honda! album review
This came out in 1964. Yes The Hondells that Chuck Girard was in! Most of this album is surf rock similar to The Beach Boys and Monkees. Some of the tracks are dedicated to the vehicle of the name Honda such as Haulin' Honda, Little Honda, and Honda Beach Party. Almost every track on this record has a car theme. Every track on here is quite brehsive.

Street Dogs - Drunk single review
Songs such as Crooked Drunken Sons, I Got Drunk, and We All Fall Apart are all about getting drunk. Similar to pirate hymns and pirate songs from back in the days of the Middle Ages. Drunk is the theme for this single. Think drunken theme. The Street Dogs rock band have really outdone themselves here on this single. All of the songs on the here single were recorded in Texas.

Bone & Face - Armageddon album review
Bone & Face was a rap group from Flint, Michigan. This was released on cassette in 1998. Think of the Rap/Soul crossover genre as you are listening to this album. Bone & Face are dropping bombs like Vietnam on this album! The lyrics and beats are dope!
Bone & Face are dropping bombs like Vietnam on Armageddon! In fact, Bone & Face are hitting hard like Armageddon
on Armageddon!. Both members of Bone & Face show how they can display their lyrical styles on Armageddon! and can prove that they are using superb styles of techniques using their wordplay techniques.
On and on till the break of dawn. It don't stop and it won't stop on the On And On track. On And On is a smooth R&B/Soul slow jam. Lorrie Coleman of Jake The Flake & Stick-N-Move Records fame is singing in the background vocals on this song. She does a good job performing her singing vocals. Many old school hip hop elements are prevalent on this track. Not mention the gangsta rap elements. Both members of Bone & Face show how they can display their lyrical styles and wordplay techniques on the On And On track as they are rapping. The On And On song is the soul song of this album. On And On is the best track on this album! It is the Bone & Face anthem!
This Life I Live is quite deep and dark as Flint City is. This Life I Live describes the crazy crime ridden lifestyles that both members of Bone & Face are rapping about and displaying. This track only saddens the mood of this album and offers noting but no solution to ending the cycle of poverty which will thus break the lifestyle of living the life of a criminal lifestyle. The bass on This Life I Live is quite deep and dark if I might say so myself. The acid rap elements are present and prevalent on this track.
Flint City is a dark acid rap anthem for the City of Flint. Flint City is home to many corrupt crooks and thugs be getting their money on a daily basis. Almost every street, neighborhood, and schools were mentioned on the Flint City track. The bass is quite deep and dark. This is the last track on this album.
