Skrewface - My Shadow EP EP review

The My Shadow EP was pressed on cassette only and 100 copies were pressed. It's killer Texas style with Jazz guitar on some tracks. The whole EP is crazy and raw as fuck! Skrewface sounds very East Coast instead of acid rap. Skrewface does indeed have a monotone voice on the EP that is. Skrewface will remind you of Black Hippiz and Selby Hood on the production side of things. Da Coup is on here so that’s an added bonus. This EP was different from the acid rap at that time. (The particular acid rap Esham had popularized.)

Mr Basic - Worldwida Coastsida album review

Worldwida Coastsida was released on CD locally in Pacifica, California. (That's in the Bay Area for the brehs who didn't know.) The graphics design will remind you of the classic graphics design layouts of Phunky Phat Grafx and Solar Music Group. Take a look at the CD disc itself and you tell me.

Infatuated is a neo G-Funk classic track! The female singing the main hook is on point. Infatuated is a song that will truly rattle your speakers and make them go boom loudly while bleeding da block. In fact the song called Infatuated will remind you of a dope ass playalistic Warren G song. What I mean neo G-Funk is old school gangsta rap and G-Funk mixed within new school rap.

Come Up is another good song. In fact, Come Up is another brehsive track on the album. Music, True Colors, and Heavyweights are very colorful tracks indeed. Wish and Tonite were much slower songs in my opinion to be honest. The whole album is off the hook!

Phyzix - Driftin single review

This single was released in 1996 on vinyl. Driftin is a 4 minute song filled with drums and bass with electronic sound on top of that jungle sound too. You will love drums and bass. It's nearly a favorite next to rock music and country music. Phyzix is a cool artist name although Phyzix is not that well known in Malawi to put it bluntly.

Esham - Sacrificial Lambz album review

Sacrificial Lambz had perfect potential to be distributed by and on Psychopathic Records. It had the fitting horrorcore sound that Esham is well known for. The themes are satanism, occult, drugs, death, and sometimes sex on occasion. If Esham hadn't cut business ties with ICP, he would still be making albums.

ICP - Eye of the Storm album review

Only a handful of copies of this overlooked ICP classic were ever pressed. Few physical copies were ever released in music stores. Physical copies can be obtained only on the official Psychopathic Records online webstore which is called Hatchetgear. This album by ICP was very overshadowed and overlooked by Juggaloes. ICP should have promoted this album as Psychopathic Records did with all the other brehsive ICP albums. Only hardcore ICP fans and juggaloes will get the hidden subliminal messages and secrets. There are about to 8 to 10 tracks. Some are 10 tracks. If you love the 00s flavor of Bang, Pow, Boom, then you'll enjoy Eye of the Storm!

Lil Runt - Da Chosen One album review

This album is has deep southern rap sound with the sounds of Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas in the mix. Although the production sounds a bit dated for 1998. The volume is set a bit too low for ones tastes. 16 tracks of hard hitting heavy bass and gangsta rap are worth listening to. Black Cat Productions out of Houston did a superior job on the graphics rather than what Street Level graphics would done and handled it.

Po Broke & Lonely -, No Money No Honey album review

No Money No Honey was released on Ruthless Records and Epic. This album came out in 1993 during the end of the New Jack Swing era. So you'll hear that New Jack Swing sound. Po Broke & Lonely came out with the hardest erotic stuff that would wet even the hardest woman to please. It's pretty much early 90s sound with light bass tunes.

It's really a shame that Po Broke & Lonely only came out with two albums. Po Broke & Lonely is great for any special occasion. It's raw and funky. It's great music for the homies to relax and put up their jimmies to bone to.

The title track No Money No Honey has that New Jack Swing sound. The description of Po Broke & Lonely is a West Coast group with an East Coast groove. Funky Vibe is funky and raw all at the same time. Alone is a slow jam.

Shaggy 2 Dope - Fuck Off! EP review

You and I will love the psychedelic graphics of the front cover artwork! It's freaky and it's live! Just like Freaky Live! Shaggy 2 Dope reminds me of Kid Rock also. We can agree that Psychopathic Records should do their graphics more in this style of the Fuck Off! album cover. Trippy album covers make every different and great because each time a different cover could be a surprise.

Clown Luv is dedicated to all the clowns, juggaloes, and juggalettes out there. This song was a historical beginning for the underground counterculture of Juggalos. Juggalo that is! Not to mention Faygolovers and Faygo.

U.N.L.V. - FOEVAWIKKKED album review

U.N.L.V. is Unholy Niggaz Livin Vital from Saginaw Michigan. U.N.L.V. is Ghetto Devil, D-Evil, Darkkk Lord and KGP! Yes, KGP people! This cassette was released in 1994 on Laraza Records. Think hardcore thrash metal meets horrorcore acid rap! KGP did all the producing and mastering.

UNLV had recorded Death Notice in a underground studio on the Southside of Saginaw. Fred Lee wrote the track Death Notice. Freddie was depressed when he wrote Death Notice because his daughter had passed away and he lost the will to live. Death Notice that is heartfelt to this day.

Wikked Wayz is a metal rock meets horrorcore acid rap type of track. The track is very distorted in sound quality. Note the heavy metal guitar in the background.

FOEVAWIKKKED was dope as hell. Think metal and rock meets mystery and rap. UNLV had to change their name cause they heard another group in the South had the same name. This was in 1995. UNLV has changed their name to Kobane Boyz.

[Laraza Records was home to KGP (Kapitol G), Hank (André Weems), and UNLV (Unholy Niggaz Livin' Vital). Laraza Records was record label based in the local Saginaw, Michigan area in the 1990s. The Life of A Criminal cassette sold over 5,000 copies total. The album FOEVAWIKKKED was released on cassette only as Laraza Records released their music on cassette only.]

Tim McGraw - Don't Take The Girl single review

If you are looking for some old fashioned outlaw country similar to Clint Black, then Don't Take The Girl by Tim McGraw is the right decision for you! You won't regret it if you're a fan of country music. It's 4 minutes long of a sad depressing love song. Usual for most Country music songs back then and now too I might add. With that said, the sound is very outlaw country. Welcome to The Club is a losers song for those who lost their wives.

George Clinton - The Cinderella Theory album review

This album was released in 1995 on Paisley Park by Prince.
To most George Clinton fans, The Cinderella Theory is one of the weakest albums in all of the George Clinton discography. Buy this album if you are one of those George Clinton completists.
Sadly this album is not that conceptual of a masterpiece. The title "The Cinderella Theory" is too well played out unfortunately. Prince didn't do him much justice either.

Tweet - Tweet Advance Music Sampler album review

This album sampler had probably less than 500 physical pressings done before it all went to the digital download by DuBose Music Group. This was the sampler for the Love, Tweet album that got shelved due lack of interests from distributors, mainly internet leaks (which killed this albums chance of ever seeing the light of day), and label mergers from bad corporate moves from the powers that be.
The production is sultry smooth in vocals. The production style reminds of the Southern Hummingbird day of 2002. Tweet needs to get back to that Southern Hummingbird sound with Timbaland producing the beats. Yes, the absence of Timbaland shows on this album. The only contributions missing from this album are the presence of Missy Elliott and Timbaland.

Up first is the upbeat 2000s neo-soul song Anymore, which is also the outro as well for some reason but it's instrumental. Killer FX scratches.

It's been a while since Tweet and her boyfriend dated so they want get reacquainted. Tweet never anticipated that this would happen or occur if her boyfriend treated so nice. It's like she doesn't know him anymore. Her boyfriend left her hanging previously. Would he decide to change? Tweet will have to think about her decision.

On Love Again, Tweet expresses that she is scared of loving someone. She's so confused. Does she love again? Even though Tweet's supposed to let go she needs to get it together. Tweet doesn't want to live without that special person.

Love Again has that winter theme on a cold ice winter holiday. Just imagine ice skating on a pond during the holidays. Love Again is 3 minutes and 40 seconds long which is about as long as a typical average Tweet song. It's slow pace at first, but gets upbeat fast.  It sounded very suicidal  to be honest. Love Again does have that 2010s slow jam sound.

Them There Eyes is an upbeat swing jazz. Tweet fell in love with them there eyes. It's about flirting and being in love. The trumpets and saxophones did a superb job at the very end of Them There Eyes.
Remedy was a better upbeat song. It will remind you of Nicole Wray's Destination from 2004. It's perfect for a snowy day at the mall or outside.

Cruisin' is a road travel song. A travelling song to put it basically. Think about doing 80 down the highway on the countryside. It's another song that is choice material for a single! Cruisin' is definitely single material appropriate for this album. So was Real Lady, Everything, and I Just Wanna.

My Dear has that Atlanta sound. It also reminds me of Lil Sin's Who Got Yo Back track from 1998. My Dear is a virtuoso upbeat song similar to a modern love ballad. T.I. did a good job rapping on this song. Marz had produced this. My Dear is definitely single material appropriate for this album.  It's really weird too.

Here is how the singles for this album should have been done. It should have been done in this order.:

My Dear
Cruisin'
Real Lady
I Just Wanna
Them There Eyes
Anymore

Jesse Cook - Vertigo album review

Looking for something similar to Brian Eno, U2, or Cher? Well this album may just be right for those of you who like the calming style of music. Well he does hit the Cajun notes on his guitar at certain times. Jesse Cook does kick up some harmony. While this album isn't a must have, there are fairly good decent songs on this album. I've heard he just keeps getting better with each new release so far. Think jazz with world fusion with the calming style of music.

Infinite Mass - Ride EP EP review

Infinite Mass is a rock group with funk sounds and mid 90s grunge. They seem to have them on very well-known underground cult following for some odd reason. Unfortunately the album is very short and only contains five songs.

The album cover is similar to the classic rock album by The Cars called Greatest Hits album with that downbeat grimy hard rock look of the Slippery When Wet album by Bon Jovi. The car on front cover gives away that hard rock look similar of Van Halen's Balance album cover from 1995. The sound is so profound.

Jacksoul - Absolute album review

Jacksoul - Absolute is Canadian Soul right here. He is from Toronto in Ontario. This album was released in 1995. It looks more like 1994 as it’s is similar to a Soul II Soul album cover. Do You Like It Like That is about receiving oral and just sex in general. Unconditional is about unconditional love. Show Me Love is about showing love. Nubian Blue is a good song. So is Got Your Soul, which is another soul track. This album is actually not that bad.

Various Artists - Dirty 3rd Soundtrack album review

This has to be the most underrated soundtrack to come out of Houston ever! It had Big Moe, ESG, Big Pokey, Noke D, Double D, and D-Gotti! What more could you ask for?! Life of ESG and Boss Hawg are the best songs by ESG. We needed more of Slim Thug however to make this album perfect. D-Gotti was alright. Shake It was produced by Noke D. The skits could have been toned down. Noke D was and still is the 2nd most underrated producer next to Jhiame to ever come out of Houston, Texas.

Santee - Most Hated album review

Mostly the sound of this album is lo-fi. There are freestyles. The cover artwork is very homemade. This album had a very dark feel as Santee's 1990s albums usually did expect Most Hated was his longest album of the 1990s. A lot of synthesizers and other equipment was used for the album. This album was very underground from the mainstream radar even in San Antonio.

KGP - Bootlegz album review

This amazing album had marked the Return of KGP into the world of the wicked! A lot of hatred, anguish, and anger is aimed towards the mic in the audience. KGP is horrorcore. The album grabs the listener into a world of fear, bringing them through hellish actions and soundscapes. Of course the album is heavily inspired by anger, death, occult, sexuality, drugs, and paraphernalia.

Songs such as Acidikrevelationz and Bloodklotz are thrashing rock classics!! KGP album Bootlegz is a landmark in the evolution of Mentality Records. KGP is from Saginaw. Michigan. Think thrash metal rock and Horrorcore acid rap.
