Borusiade / The Sixteen Steps – Promises And Infatuation single review.
Borusiade
/ The Sixteen Steps – Promises And Infatuation was released on the
Baton Rouge, Louisiana based label Cititrax in 2017. Techno meets the
industrial synthwave sound of electronic music. It’s the industrial
sound of electronic music that sets this record apart from other
releases in techno music scene. It’s a techno electronic mashup.
Borusiade
/ The Sixteen Steps – Promises And Infatuation was pressed on Limited
Edition 12” vinyl which plays at 45 RPM. Only 500 copies were pressed on
translucent black vinyl. If the matrix runs are as follows for your
copy of this vinyl, then your vinyl is a legit copy and not a bootleg.:
Matrix / Runout (Side A runout - stamped): 157266M1/B LICKING ON MY LIPS
Matrix / Runout (Side B runout - stamped): 157266M2/A GRABBING ON MY HIPS
Infatuation
by Borusiade is something similar to what you would expect to hear from
Daft Punk due to its electronic sound. A gritty guitar can be heard
playing a single note at 1|8 time over distorted musical notes from a
synth keyboard. Notes at 1|8 warp over quickly to 3|8 time.
Promises
On The Run by The Sixteen Steps a percussion ridden song over quirky
electronic music. The beats play at 3|8 time at 45RPM. Promises On The
Run has a dark cinematic feel.

Jayo Felony - Livin' Foe Dem Thangz/Pissin' On Your Tombstone single review
This
single was released on cassette from Loco Entertainment/Loco Records
along with Prodagee Records/Prodagee Productions in 1993 and also on
vinyl from JMJ Records & Def Jam.
The
first song is Livin' Foe Dem Thangz which is about living for those
material things in life as well as gangbanging. This was a diss towards
Big June. Jayo Felony made a bunch of references to the Rollin' 40s Crip
gang on this track. The beat is off the hook!
This was
a diss towards Big June. This is what started the beef with Big June.
The reason why Jayo Felony dissed Big June was that both them were from
rival gangs and rival sets. Jayo Felony was from the Rollin' 40s Crip
gang and Big June was from Skyline Piru gang (Bloods).
Pissin'
On Your Tombstone is the next song. On Pissin' On Your Tombstone, Jayo
Felony had dissed Big June, Repo Ric, Lil Felony, Dago's Most Hated,
Skanless Joe, Big Mike, Felony, Lil Fatal, and the rest of Repo Records
crew. Jayo Felony takes jabs and disses Repo Ric and his entire
collective of artists that were on his Repo Records roster. Jayo Felony
makes references to Gangsta Nation Crew. He represents Southeast San
Diego, California.

The track samples Rufus
Thomas - The Breakdown (Part II), MC Ren - Right Up My Alley, and
Cypress Hill - Stoned Is the Way of the Walk.
I'ma
Keep Bangin' is the last track which is also yet again about
gangbanging and reppin' Gangsta Nation Crew. Jayo Felony makes
references to Gangsta Nation Crew. The sample is Horns of Brixton by The
Clash.
If Jayo Felony had added all three songs from
this single to the Take A Ride album in 1994, then the album would have
taken off more and have made the album tighter to be listening to. But
sample clearance issues is what prevented these songs from being on the
Take A Ride album.

Vallejo - Stereo album review
The Stereo album was written in the span of 2001-2002. Sony and RED Distribution were supposed to be the distributors for the Stereo album in 2002 which due to label politics and poor marketing did not work out well. Vallejo was to import their album to Mexico as they had planned out and desired, but instead Sony imported Stereo to Japan instead of Mexico. That was against their wishes causing Vallejo to depart with Sony in January 2002 leaving the Stereo album to be released on the Vallejo Music Group (VMG) label instead. The album was released in 2002.
However Sony distributed early copies of the album to other countries. Sony distributed the album to countries such as Japan, US, Costa Rica, UK, Taiwan, and Honduras. Some copies made their way to Mexico. Most copies were imported to Japan and Taiwan among other countries.
The Vallejo band does an excellent job covering Wall of Voodoo - Mexican Radio on the track Mexican Radio. They use the sound of Latin rock to give the song a more modernized feel to it. It’s a mixture of Spanish rock and Latin rock. The sound is so fresh and updated! Mexican Radio is the highlight track and best track off of the Stereo album. (This is the bonus track for the Stereo album.)
Take A Ride has both elements of funk, rock, and blues a sultry feel to the latin rhythms. The song Take A Ride is the album’s intro. The party is on with Vallejo as they take a ride downtown. The acoustics and instrumentation are perfect.
Downtown has both elements of funk, rock, and blues with a sultry feel to the latin rhythms. The party is on with Vallejo as they take a ride downtown.
Rock Americano is a Latin rock crossover song by Vallejo. It’s one of those songs you will want to hear live. Rock Americano is another song that has the element of rock and funk with a sultry feel to the latin rhythms. Take notice of the percussion selection used. This song is just fun and you will love it!
Let's Talk About It is a sincere heartfelt song of emotion. Let’s Talk About It educates to talk about our problems to someone rather than just walk away or run away. The Vallejo band comes up with a solution to the problem by saying “Let’s talk about it.” Let's Talk About It has the element of rock with a sultry feel to the latin rhythms.
Wait For Me has a more acoustic rhythmic feel to it than all the other songs off the Stereo album. The acoustics and percussion are what set this song apart from the other songs on this album.
Vices is a song that has a dark vibe and mood to it with a rock rhythm. Vices is an original composition written by the Vallejo band.
The 2002 Stereo album should have gone 5x gold or 8x platinum and hit the BillBoard! Stereo should have at least gone gold. Sony dropped the ball on Vallejo by not distributing this album to Mexico. This album was excellent. No filler tracks on any of the album.
Stereo is considered by Vallejo fans to be the 'fan fave’ and a classic among their other albums. Stereo is the “must have album” for any Vallejo fan old or new alike. In fact, Stereo is the best Vallejo album of 2002. They play awesome music without loosing their edge. Stereo is the soundtrack for a party because you can't help but get in a good mood when you listen or hear any of their songs. Vallejo is a great Latin rock crossover group.

Lil Eddie - City of My Heart [Deluxe Edition] album review
City Of My Heart was released on Manhattan Recordings (Manhattan Records)/EMI in Japan and US in 2009 on CD. City Of My Heart is filled with tales of heartbreak and sorrow. In fact, the entire half of the album is filled with love songs of course. The other half of the album is filled with a slice of life genre. In 2009, the album sold 30,000 copies. By the end of 2010, the album sold 200,000 copies. The album City Of My Heart sold a total of 300,000 which was considered phenomenal in album sales!
Lil Eddie combats the problems of traffic congestion and transportation at the very beginning of City Of My Heart. Eddie wants wings in automobiles that way if anyone is stuck in traffic congestion during rush hour that can rush through the sky.
Here are some lyrics explaining how Lil Eddie combats the problems of traffic congestion and transportation. This sums up Eddies’s views on traffic congestion and transportation very well.:
Can you imagine living in a place
where the wings in the cars go up, up, up
And if you're ever stuck in traffic,
fly past, sit in the rush, rush
Straight through the red light
(ooh)”
The city of which Eddie is residing is the place that takes place inside of him is exactly what he considers to be the “city of my heart”. He takes us on a tour to a place called the city in my heart. Lay back like as if we're chillin' on the beach because Eddie will be the tour guide for this tour/journey. He will do all the driving.
After the very beginning of City Of My Heart, the rest of the song turns into a love song which ironically it always was even at the very beginning. Of course this is expected because this is Lil Eddie we’re talking about.
Start Over Again deals with the ups and downs in life. Lil Eddie tells us that no matter what stage you are in life, whether you’re young or old, it’s never too late to start all over again. You can always start over again. You know you limits and when you are torn apart. Lil Eddie also tells us that sometimes we need to start over again in life due to the ups and downs that take an emotionally effective toll on us as humans. Life has flaws and is filled with pain.
What's living without loss? What's life without loss? What's giving without a cause? Everything has a price, so now it's time to pay. What's life without the flaws? What's life without the pain? Life has flaws and is filled with such pain as stated. You can always start over again. Your fate will be tested throughout your life. Life is never perfect.
Hollyhood describes the success of how Lil Eddie made it out the neighborhood. Hollyhood also describes the success of Lil Eddie in his songwriter career along with the fall and rise of his career. Eddie gets very sentimental and autobiographical on Hollywood.
He particularly describes how it would be miracle if he were to ever reach to ever see his 21st year in his lifetime. But Lil Eddie made it out the neighborhood from a life of poverty.
These verses sums up how Lil Eddie proved everyone wrong of how he would become a failure at life.
Cause it'd be a miracle if I ever reach to ever see my 21st year
But look at your boy I made it out the sewer
Thanks to Grandma I'm an entrepreneur
So many people said I couldn't do it
Lil Eddie went from homeless singer-songwriter to melody maker of the world's premier X Factor show. Lil Eddie describes bluntly how he dealt living in a life of poverty on this line “You gotta make the best of what you got”. When you come from a successful background, the only way to go is up. Lil Eddie is now a Japan Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter!
Lil Eddie and Mya are a perfect combination duo for the Searching For Love track. The combination of these two voices works very well. Anytime Mya and Lil Eddie get together, the combination as a duo proves to be a success as Searching For Love charted at #1 on the iTunes Charts in 2009.
Both Eddie and Mya are searching for the true definition of love. When it comes to love, the duo is quite curious leading them on a quest through singing and soul on this journey. Every story has more than two sides to it when love is involved. By the end of this love ballad, the duo finally find out what love is. Their fate is tested throughout the song.
Lost Footage takes us though a personal journey of a moment from the past from one of Eddie’s memories. It was a memory of a past relationship. Every story has more than two sides to it. They say nothing lasts forever. But there's still lost footage to the memory. No one has ever seen the lost footage.
All I See was a song that Lil Eddie helped produce for Kylie Minogue for her X album. This version of All I See on Lil Eddie's City Of My Heart album is his own cover of the same song. That’s why you can hear that particular flair of pop music in this song. Think pop flair as All I see is a pop flare themed song.
Trouble Sleeping is a bonus track that appeared on the Deluxe Edition of City of My Heart. The song featured Japanese artists JAY'ED and Casper. The song is a mix of the English and Japanese language. JAY'ED raps in Japanese on the second verse. At the beginning the song's tempo is set at two-step.
Love don't live here anymore on Love Next Door. Love Next Door is a cute innocent upbeat love song about the girl next door Lil Eddie has a crush on. He can't hide his true feeling on this love song. Such raw emotion is shown throughout the song. The song Love Next Door is another hidden bonus track.
5/5*****!!
