Mixerr Album Reviews #47

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will do a review on Shyne's self-titled album.

The Life has a fast paced upbeat sound to it. So does It's OK. Shyne had memorable songs such as Bad Boyz, That's Gangsta, Bonnie & Shyne, and Whatcha Gonna Do. They were such classics!

You all may remember Shyne from Puff Daddy label Bad Boy Records (now Bad Boy Entertainment) back in 2000. (The same record label with Death Row Records that caused the East coast Vs West coast feud from 1994-1998. The East won because they still had Nas, Jeru, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, Lil Kim, and Missy Elliott. I could go on, but you all should already know by now!)

Sadly after HOT 97 shooting in July 2001, he got locked up in prison for 8 years and got deported back to Belize in 2009. Too bad Puffy didn't bail him out like he did with Lil Kim and Lil Cease.
I kind of hate Puffy and Suge for what they've done in the past. Puffy helped kill the careers of Notorious BIG, Craig Mack, The L.O.X., Gina Thompson, Jerome, 2pac, and Shyne.

Anyway, this album went way under the radar despite its 2x platinum status. It was a good album.
I rate this album, Shyne, 4/5****. Very underrated indeed!
