This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will a review on Alice Donut album Ten Glorious Animals because I felt like it needed a review. I will do it myself. This album was done in 2009.
I wasn't really feeling the first track called Mrs. Carradine because it sounded too much like an ensemble of piano pop. No More Room should have been a single. That goes for Wide and Don't I Know too. Along with the heavy impounding bass tunes added with heavy metal and hard rock on the 3 tracks I had just mentioned. Lorelei & Henry is a song about love. (This could have been a possible single also.)
Killer guitar playing skills and drumming skills on Shiloh! This should have been a single also! The piano and rock sound mix well together on Esophagus. Mad guitar skills on Old Dominion! Killer noodling on Prog Jenny! The Cavalry is song to mellow out to. Smooth song mellow melody. Killer guitar riff on Where Is My Mind!
No More Room, Wide, Don't I Know, Lorelei & Henry, Shiloh, Esophagus, Old Dominion, Prog Jenny, and Where Is My Mind are the best tracks on the album!
This album has material that any hard rock fan, classic rock fan, and for any of you fellow metalheads out there. Pure headbangin' material from start to finish! It has sound for metalhead fans alike.
I rate this album, Ten Glorious Animals, 4/5****!
