Mixerr Album Reviews #90

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I am going to review the Nightrider EP by Big June. Nightrider was an EP that was put out on cassette and CD in 1994 by Repo Records. Repo Ric was Big June's manager at the time. Production was done by Repo Ric, Dr. Devious (Dr. Dev), and Steve Vicious.

First of is the intro to Night Rider which repeats Big June N-I Double G-A over and over on a sample of More Bounce To The Ounce by Zapp. Screams, screeches, tires peel outs, gunshots, ammo, and bullets can be heard in the loud background. I didn't like it too much because it got annoying real quick. I could not listen to it for the duration of 2:23. It is chaotic. Battle Rap was Big June spitten rhymes fast! It's only 2 minutes long as I said before.

Night Rider is a song off of another Big June EP on cassette called Nightrider. Big June was a young rider creepin' in the night. So don't get caught slippin'! On this song Big June talks about robbing and jacking people for they shit.  (He doesn't rap about this stuff anymore. So don't worry!) . The remix of Straight Jackin' is an unpolished unfinished version of a remix with a More Bounce To The Ounce by Zapp with that G-Funk heavy sound.
Big June Nigga and Straight Jackin' were 2 cassette singles there were put out in 1992 and made it on this EP. Both songs have the gangsta rap theme about robberies, shootings, killings, and jackings. Big June on a mission. Nothin' But A Come Up is about puttin' in work and doin' dirt. Basically it's committing robberies and killings.

I rate this EP/album, Nightrider, 4/5****!
