Mixerr Album Reviews #177

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review the self-titled Freaky Live album from 1995 on Deep Dark Productions from Flint, Michigan. As well as U Be U. (Deep Dark Productions & U Be U was home to Ruff-N-Rugged, D O A, MOSS, NFTP, BODK, Grand Funk Railroad, Terry Knight, Terrell Young, Moonbox, Dirty Jerk, Terry Young, TDF, and may more from the Flint area!)

This self titled album came out on cassette only with seven songs. The trio consisted of a DJ, Dukeman, and Trouble. The front cover letters resemble an Esham, Natas, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Flag, and ICP letter type font from the early 00s.

What Hood U From? is a shout out to all the neighborhoods in Flint such as Sarvis Park, Dayton Ave., Saginaw St., Bedrock, Northside, Rigsby, and the like. Flint Town was going down at the time of this song. (You can catch my drift.) The Intro was dope. The Outro not so much. The rest of the album not that good unfortunately.

I rate this self-titled album, 3/5***.
