Mixerr Album Reviews #455

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will re-review the Sunshower EP by ume. ume is an electronic rock band from Austin, Texas. They often perform live at SXSW almost every year. The band formed in 2008.

At first I expected this EP to a short trippy EP with a sum total of only 3 songs. But when I inspected the back cover to see if my predictions were right, looks proved me wrong. What I meant is that there are 5 tracks. Yes! A total of 5 tracks! ume and Ssion are alike in so manys ways. They are both electronic bands. Both are rock influenced. No jazz.

The album cover artwork is quite abstract! Not to mention the blue tone! The gradients have been well-used. The sakura trees are quite lovely. Let me put it that way in similar to Blur and Moby. Think about it for a second and it will match up.

Pendulum reminds me of a song that Linkin Park would do. Pendulum reminds me of In The End by Linkin Park, which sparked the groups stardom internationally. Because with that said, don't ask me why I think this way. I just do.

This is a good EP. The 4 songs are good!I rate this EP, Sunshower, 4/5****.
