Mixerr Album Reviews #609

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Malik-Bo - 619 on Die Hard Rec. 619 was released on CD only.

Hot in the City explains to us why Malik-Bo is the hottest thing in San Diego rap. Despite making underground moves and not gaining national exposure. During the mid 90s, Malik-Bo was the hottest artist touching the San Diego rap game from the underground to the streets along with Big June, Orko, Black Mikey, Jayo Felony, Nuttz and many more.

Status is about Malik-Bo's status in the rap game in San Diego. In there words, it's about Malik-Bo's status as an OG. Malik-Bo knows how to keep it real.

619 is a title track that was included as a bonus track. 619 is about the daily life in the wicked ass Southeast streets of San Diego. 619 is a dedication track to all the homies in Southeast and a dedication to the city of San Diego. Malik-Bo represents where he’s from on 619.

Tha Ultimate sounds like a bomb freestyle track. Malik-Bo shows us how he's a player on I'ma Player. I Like will remind you of a smooth sex song.

619 has to be the rarest of  all Malik-Bo albums along with the Fruited EP. The irony is that all of Malik-Bo's albums are completely obscure and ultra-rare. In other words, they are ridiculously hard to find!!
I rate this album, 619, 4/5****.
