This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review the Good Lovin' Remix EP by the band Lady. This EP came out on vinyl and digital download in 2015 on Truth & Soul Records.
On this record, Nicole Wray showcases and experiments with her Dance and Electronic side as well as her Reggae side. I am loving the new school acid tracks and electronic dubs! The Oh No remix was very different. Not to mention electronic. Terri Walker doesn’t have much of an appearance on this song as the others. DJ Spinna did a good job on the first part of this album. The Ticklah songs were very reggae dancehall sounding.
Sweet Lady is a dedication song to their mothers. Sweet Lady is similar to an upbeat positive 60s Motown song. There is a lot of positivity in this song. Their mothers are really there for them in the end when no one has their back. Sweet Lady was an inspirational uplifting dedication towards their mothers type of song. Nicole Wray stated that Sweet Lady was dedicated to her mother.
Get Ready is a soulful bouncy tune. Get Ready was the second single off of their debut album. This song has a very 60s Motown meets Stax sound.
I rate this EP, Good Lovin' Remix EP, 5/5*****!
