This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Elton John - Live in Australia.
Live in Australia was released as a specially priced 2 record set on 1 cassette in 1987 on MCA Records. Melbourne Symphony Orchestra contributed instrumentation on this live album for Elton John. The concert took place all over the continent and country of Australia on the date of December 14th, 1986. There are no overdubs used on this album to support or enhance the instrumentation even after the interval. Some of his best live performances can be heard on this album.
Tonight tells us vivid detail of a troublesome midnight lovers quarrel. Elton John wants to go sleep on Tonight, but all you want to do is carry on grudges and be argumentative. He doesn't want to fight again. Is a night of silence too much to ask for? Does every night have to be the same argument in repetition? For once, silence would be appreciated. He wants this conflict to be resolved.
Candle in the Wind is about one's youth being cut short during their prime time. Youth hood was abruptly cut short during their life. Life can end unexpectedly. Cherish the life you have. Your Song is a short sweet Elton John solo song he sings as the vocalist. He is the main vocalist.
Take Me To The Pilot is the most incomprehensible Elton John song to date. Not too many Elton John fans can understand this song. Neither that many people too. The lyrics possess many elements including the illusion of danger and betrayal.
I rate this album, Live in Australia, 5/5*****!
