This is Michael Mixerr. Today I am going to review SuperMacks - Mack’s In Effect.
SuperMacks is an example of early San Fransisco Hip Hop/Rap and Bay Area Rap next to Paris, IMP, Hugh EMC & DJ Rock, Gangsta Rhyme Posse, RBL, Cold World Hustlers, Dre Dog, Shan Luv, Def Connection, ATC, The Newtons, and Suga-T as this cassette came out in 1988. This cassette has much similar sound to Terry T who was known for his signature Oaktown Sound at that time. Mack’s In Effect is similar to colorful funkiness of 1980s Hip Hop/Rap. That’s why you can hear that old school sound in the funk of this record. Side A is the Vocal Side and Side B is the Instrumental Side. Mack’s In Effect is more hip hop than rap.
I rate this album, Mack’s In Effect, 4/5****.
