This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will review Lil Corb - Danger Zone.
Danger Zone is a classic album from former Kami Kaze Inc. member Lil Corb (Corbin Rome) that was released in 2002. Lil Corb was known as the “Killa from the North Side” in Memphis, Tennessee.
Many of the tracks on this album are pulled from his debut album entitled Killa from the North Side which was locally released on cassette only in the Memphis area during 1994. MC Mack produced this album and the Killa from the North Side cassette in 1994. Most of the tracks on this album are newly recorded tracks that did not appear on the 1994 Killa from the North Side cassette. Tracks such as the Intro, Deadly Friend, Killa from the North Side, and Shot Outs are from the Killa from the North Side cassette. Only the difference is that the production and sound quality is more polished for the new millennium to comply with having a more updated sound.
Deadly Friend is from the Killa from the North Side cassette that was released in 1994. The only difference is that the sound quality and production is more polished. The music instrumentation arrangements have been rearranged to have a more polished updated sound. Percussion is more processed and treble has been slightly reduced. Deadly Friend definitely has that spooky horrorcore sound. Deadly Friend and Killa from the North Side are both tracks that will want to make you sit alone meditating in the dark while you drift away listening to the horrorcore sound of Lil Corb. It’s insane how Lil Corb mastered the triplet flow.

Run Yo Mouth has a Todd Rundgren sample to it. It’s insane how Lil Corb mastered the triplet flow here on Run Yo Mouth. The lyrics are quirky and insane. Run Yo Mouth, as well, has an updated more polished sound. Good shit.
I rate this album, Danger Zone, 4/5****!
