History of the horribly ill-fated Operation Ten-Go revisited.

Operation Ten-Go was horribly ill-fated and an ill-advised war tactic planning strategy led by the IJN in the 1940s. In fact, Operation Ten-Go was considered to be a suicide mission in Japanese history. Battleship IJN Yahagi was sunk by American aircraft carrier off the coast of Kyushu in Japan. This historical event was a couple months before the end of the war. The "Operation Ten-Go" sank battleship Yamato and virtually everyone else involved as Operation Ten-Go was the final operation the IJN undertook in 1945. Operation Ten-Go is romanticized in Japan as the symbol for the fall of the IJN after 1945 since the IJN fell apart and dismembered by 1946.

Believe it or not! An Imperial Japanese Navy auxiliary transport ship named Rio de Janeiro Maru really does exist! The Rio de Janeiro Maru was solely responsible for bringing a bunch of Japanese to Brazil. The Santos Maru transport ship did similar operations for transportation of Japanese soldiers. This relocation was done in response to nuclear war from the United States, Costa Rica, and Canada. By 1946, most Japanese soldiers relocated to Brazil only to eventually return to the island of Japan.
