History of M.C. Williams High School in Houston, Texas forgotten.

The history of M.C. Williams High School in Houston, Texas seems to have been forgotten over time. Only so much is known about this school and its history.

M.C. Williams High School was a “negro high school” that served as a high school for African American students attending Houston ISD schools in the Acres Home neighborhood sometime during the 20th century.

M.C. Williams High School desegregated in 1970. Over the years, M.C. Williams High School went under several names such as M.C. Williams Middle School, M.C. Williams Senior High School, and M.C. Williams Junior-Senior High School.

At some point during the 20th century, M.C. Williams High School downgraded from being a high school and into a middle school. M.C. Williams High School became M.C. Williams Middle School.

Today the M.C. Williams High School building now houses M.C. Williams Middle School. M.C. Williams Middle School is operated as a middle school by Houston ISD.

M.C. Williams High School is located at 6100 Knox Street, Houston, Texas, US 77091.
