Lisa Parade - Out Of The Funbox is a fun album filled with fun folk rock music. The album is filled with positive music and uplifting vibes. A couple of love song were thrown in. This was the debut album from Lisa Pimentel which was released on CD in 2005.
On Comfort Of My Distress, Lisa literally uses colorful language. Meaning that she used colors to describe words, subjects, actions, feelings, and adjectives. The song uses a unique way of describing feelings by using colors to indicate feelings. All the colors inside her comfort her distress as described in the song. They are the comfort of her distress. Lisa lets her true colors fly on this song.
For instance in the first verse.:
Do you ever feel like a hunter green and strong
Do you feel like it’s over red and wrong
Brighter Day is a song about looking at brighter days. The song has a positive vibe to it. It uplifts you spirits when you are having a bad day and when things don’t go your way. Overall the song is very comforting and soothing at best.
However the song is not all bright and positive as Lisa feels a bit of sadness in the song. She is afraid of the things outside sometimes. Here are some lyrics as an example.:

Ain’t About You is song describing how sometimes it’s hard to see what’s real, who to trust, how to feel, or what to say. Lisa says you can have your doubts about her life, but it’s not about you. Ever heard the sayings “I do me.” or “I can only do me.”? Lisa does exactly just that on this song of hers.
Sometimes searching for grace goes a long way which is the case on the song called Grace. In this song, Lisa searches for acceptance and friends. She seeks embrace to find all surrounding grace. Her perspective is twisted but she means well.
No Faith In The Faithless is about struggling to remain humble as human beings. Things do occur in our weakest and uncool moments. The song proves that there is no faith in the faithless. It certainly is a struggle to remain humble during tough times.
Talk Loud is a brash freestyle song where Lisa lets loose. She has fun with this song. She expresses her inner emotions without holding back.
Touchstone is where Lisa seeks solace and for comfort. She wonders where her touchstone went. Lisa searches for her touchstone throughout the song. There is a theme of uncertainty which can also be used to describe the feeling.
I rate this album, Out Of The Funbox, 4/5****.
