Short history of Meeks Cemetery in Manor, Texas explored.

Not too much history is known or can be discovered about this long forgotten Manor cemetery. Only a few people know about Meeks Cemetery. Meeks Cemetery is regarded as a historic cemetery by many archeologists, researchers, and historians.

Meeks Cemetery was plotted in 1863 during Antebellum times of the American Civil War. White slaveholders buried their slaves at this cemetery.
