Mixerr Album Reviews #1,832

It’s refreshing to see some soulful R&B/soul come out St. Louis, Missouri instead of the typical pop and raunchy dirty Southern rap. This is one of those mega rare albums you must have or hear! It’s R&B/soul you never knew existed. Just pure R&B/soul harmony singing with lots of ballads. Underground R&B/soul is the best! This album has that amazing 90s R&B/soul sound and early 00s sound. All 10 tracks are worth listening to and not skipping.

Naturally Smooth - Coming With The Smoothness was self-produced and self-distributed by the group in 1999. When an album is self-distributed by group or an artist, that album often does not get distribution past their hometown. That is why the album is extremely hard to find. However the album did better overseas in countries such as Japan and Germany than it did in the United States.

So Many Things has a sound where 80s pop meets 90s R&B/soul with a touch of early 00s sound. The echo gives away an 80s pop sound. So Many Things is about how a man will go so many different ways and do many things to entertain a lady he likes. Tonight, anything goes.

Come Groove with Me uses a polished Afrocentric percussion selection which is backed by a large array of electronic synths from a keyboard. The song Come Groove with Me is a nice, smooth, and slow song.

Can I Get You Alone is a slow love song about how a man is trying to get some “alone time” with the woman he truly loves. He’s been waiting so long for this moment.  Can I Get You Alone is a mid tempo which is both nice and smooth type of song.

The members of Naturally Smooth come with the smoothness by singing in harmony on the song Comin’ with the Smoothness. They use sex appeal in their singing. Comin’ with the Smoothness is a nice, smooth, and slow type of song. 90s R&B/soul meet the early 00s sound on this song of theirs.

I rate this single 4/5****!!
