After a month of hot and dry weather, the city of Austin, Texas has finally received rain. A small rain storm occurred at 7:40 PM on the night of Saturday, August 24, 2019. The rain storm lasted until 8:30 PM. However not all of Austin had received the same amount of rain in that time frame. This rain storm was fairly short lasting only 20 minutes in North Austin. The rain storm blew in the direction going southbound towards Central and Downtown Austin. Parts of Central and Downtown Austin had an hour worth of scattered rain showers. Overall the rain storm lasted only an hour. The rain storm was already had calmed down by 9:30 PM.
