  1. I went to both Burnets. 1st and 2nd grades to "Little Burnet" on Laffite and 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th at "Big Burnet". In 4th grade (1963) many of us were bused to John B Hood Elementary due to overcrowding at Big Burnet. The day before President Kennedy was killed in Dallas I saw him in downtown San Antonio. I was in 4th grade. We were forced to move from victoria street in nov. 1965. Our house was where the Federal Courthouse is now. Big Burnet was where The Alamodome sits. I miss the Double Dip.
