National Park Service has dug out a significant portion of Ashely Park to the east to create a detention pond to trap rain water. Today Ashley Park in San Antonio, Texas is overgrown with foliage and shrubbery. Ashley Park is in bad condition now. More maintenance work needs to be done to maintain the park to become the beauty it once was.
