A house in Vidor was demolished as part of the city's beautification efforts. The house of 1810 David Road was one of the many houses demolished as part of the city's beautification efforts back in 2017. The city demolished 16 abandoned homes that year.
Now the reason this home once located at 1810 David Road in Vidor, Texas. was demolished is because the investor liquidated the property and sold for a discounted bundle. The property sold much lower than the original price that the previous owner had bought for. This property is located in a secluded private area on 5 acres of land.
Councilman David Slaughter said, “We demolished a large number of homes. There were several instances where a home was demolished and within the same year a brand new homes was built on that site and sold. The demolitions were part of the city's beautification efforts. The city demolished 16 abandoned homes last year.”
