Sometime during the summer of 1991 is when taxi driver Kevin Lovette was found shot to death in his cab on West Baker Street by neighbors in the area. The police could not identify anybody responsible for committing the crime. The mystery behind the death of taxi driver Kevin Lovette would not be solved until a year later in 1992 when someone phoned in an anonymous tip. They were told Ronnie Johns had killed Kevin Lovette. Taxi driver Kevin Lovette was intentionally shot and killed by Ronnie Johns in Flint during the summer of 1991 over a drug transaction. Ronnie Johns had used a .44 caliber Ruger Redhawk revolver that was manufactured and sold by Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. which turned out to be stolen from Brent Walker's home in Saginaw County in May 1991 by an unknown person. Of course Ronnie Johns knew that .44 caliber Redhawk revolver was stolen. Now this .44 caliber Ruger Redhawk had maple wood grips and a scope. He decided to use this weapon in his murder spree(s).
