Mixerr Album Reviews #202

This is Michael Mixerr. Today I will the single by Jayo Felony called Livin' Foe Dem Thangz. This single was released on cassette from Loco Entertainment in 1993 and also on vinyl from JMJ Records, Def Jam, and RAL.

The first song is Livin' Foe Dem Thangz which is about living for those material things in life as well as gangbanging. This was a diss towards Big June. Jayo Felony made a bunch of references to the Rollin' 40s Crip gang on this track. The beat is off the hook.

Pissin' On Your Tombstone is the next song. On Pissin' On Your Tombstone, Jayo Felony had dissed Big June, Repo Ric, Lil Felony, Dago's Most Hated, Skanless Joe, Big Mike, Lil Fatal, and the rest of Repo Records crew.
The reason why Jayo Felony dissed Big June was that both them were from rival gangs and rival sets. Jayo Felony was from the Rollin' 40s Crip gang and Big June was from Skyline Piru gang (Bloods). Jayo Felony makes references to Gangsta Nation Crew.

I'ma Keep Bangin' is the last track which is also yet again about gangbanging and reppin' Gangsta Nation Crew. Jayo Felony makes references to Gangsta Nation Crew. The sample is Horns of Brixton by The Clash. If Jayo Felony had added all three songs from this single to the Take A Ride album in 1994, then the album would have taken off more.

I rate this single, Livin' Foe Dem Thangz, 5/5*****!
