This is Michael Mixerr. I will do a review on The Big KABOOM by Jello Biafra.
The Big Kaboom was recorded live in Madison, Wisconsin, back in November 2001. At the University of Wisconsin to be exact. This album was also rereleased in 2012.
Particularly, The Big Kaboom starts off with Jello Biafra discussing his views on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, his views on the ugly aftermath since then, and the perpetual “War on Terror”. Jello Biafra also discusses historical events that may have contributed to the tragedy along with the repercussions.
Jello Biafra is still hungry for progressive socio-politico ideas due to his Green Party ideology. The Big KABOOM is relevant today. Please be sure to remember to get out there and vote! Before it's too late.
This album was basically an EP or a single since it only had one track.
It has some anti-Bush sentiment, anti-terrorism, and pro Green Party sentiments along with the pro Libertarian Party sentiments. This spoken word album was too predictable because 75% of the material on here would later be included on Machine Gun In The Clown's Hand. This is his worst spoken word album as his subject matter is too predictable.
I rate this album, The Big KABOOM, 1/5*.
